Loved the children's Christmas pageant last night, especially Herod's slave girl who was applauded when she said "I am NOT fanning you. You are mean and want to kill the baby Jesus!" She was five and her line was "Yes, your Majesty."

I love those children's pageants. have been in a few, myself. My mother loved to tell the story, ( I don't remember it) That I was to be in a pageant at Christmas time. I had a few lines to say, she drilled me, and drilled me to "Speak up, so everyone can hear you, even in the back row". I guess her coaching worked, according to her , i really turned up the volume and nearly blasted the people out of their seats.

My Amanda played the "kindergarten" inn-keeper and kept saying she was going to say there "IS" room in the inn for baby Jesus....we had to bribe her to say the correct line...

just think what would have happened to all of us if there was room in the inn!

Gary, "it" still would have happened. Maybe in a hot tub and they probably would not have allowed the shepherds in with their sheep or had parking for the camels.

Is Shepherd's Pie a Christmas dish? I just made the base for one to have on the hand in my freezer for that guy Justin Case who frequently shows up at my door at meal time.

Being the meat eating male I am RUTH, I'm all in favor of shepherds pie on any occasion.

My only thought is Justin Case roast beef, steak or hamburger worthy?

Justin is cheap ground beef worthy, one level below the dogs.

The days are supposed to start getting longer but it sure doesn't feel like it today. Been up since 4 and want daylight!

Ruth, I have been up since 4AM also, my new years resolution will be to find a way to sleep more than 4 or 5 hours a night.

I have looked into my crystal ball and I see TK survivng until after the New Year begins .
