The Oktoberfest was nice. Plenty of beer and food for the taking. Which I did!

May have to make a Costco run after church today...if we do it's gonna be hard to shop less than we usually do...

OK, after doing my faceplant on the gravel rv site Sunday night, and then being stung by a hornet Friday Morning, can you tell me again why vacations are restful and relaxing???

The whole idea of a vacation is looking forward to going home to rest.

I need a vacation from all the rest I have been getting....

Enjoy it now, that will all go away when that second grandchild comes along.

work for me is picking up soon for a bit...need $$$ as always but sure lovin' days of NOTHING to do!!!

However today is not one of them...back down to dear daughter's condo to do some more remodel work.

OK--here I am again... today we left albuquerque and going down the highway the tire tread came off the right rear tire of the truck! The tire didn't go flat and we didn't have an accident so I guess that is great! But we had to change a tire on the side of the highway and that put us about an hour behind time. So we didn't make it into Oklahoma today but are safe and sound in Amarillo. Tell me again why vacations are so nice??? LOL

In fact, the day could come when you'll be able to ship a gallon of water to Texas in exchange for a gallon of good Texas gasoline.

I hear they have good BBQ in Texas - and oil - and cows. That is the sum of my knowledge.

We were only supposed to pass through on our way home. But since we lost so much time we had to find an rv park to stay the night! Getting ready to leave and hopefully be home tonight!! This has been the vacation from ****!!

Not raining right now, but has been and more is on the way....and snow in the mountains.I am not very far away from the ski resorts, they are always happy for snow.

Evidently after they pick her up from here on date night (she wakes up getting in the car seat)....she keeps them up for a few xtra hours since she has had a couple of hours nap....

Hey! Jazz had a furcut yesterday and under all the fluff he's suddenly fat! This won't do. Now we are all on a diet in this house. The four legged residents are going to miss their treats. It'll be veggies from now on instead of biscuits.

Ruth my pups will eat any veggie....as long as it is cooked!

Gary, Disney's favourite treat is dried tomato. She also like dried zucchini slices. I actually use dried bananas as treats sometimes but they are pretty high calorie.

I will probably not be in here next week so be good. I'm off on a wee vacation on the shore of the beautiful Bay of Fundy so be good without me.

Had to fence off the new tomato pot from reba last week as she...once again!...stole two almost ready to eat ones off...Angie was not a happy camper!

coughing and sore throat all night, came down to family room and slept in my chair so as not to keep Angie up.

Looks like I'm gonna miss church, a harvest festival in the next city over and my nephew's 4th birthday party tonight....

I think it is time for this years flu shot...new kind of flu every year. I had my flu shot last week.
