Whew! Great visit with three friends from PA this week. They left this morning and another friend popped in. He just left and NOW I can get out of my robe and into proper clothes to start me week. The Monday Banking is first. (Can you tell I'm really behind?)

:sssh: don't tell my son/dil that I held my GRANDdaughter and rocked her to sleep for her nap yesterday for an hour and a half w/o putting her in her bed.....she is getting a little too dependent on people holding her to sleep....

I didn't intend to but after several interrupted attempts at laying her down I had no choice but to hold her...

I did...honest I did......

Your DIL may shoot you over this, sure you can rock and hold her all day long but DIL has other things to do, too.

That's why I asked you not to tell!

:bday2you: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCY! :bday2you:

wow!.......100....seems like ony yesterday....

Ruthxxx 08-07-2011 07:30 AM

Hope your birthday was a good one, Lucy.

We celebrated two birthdays last night with wine, great food and fireworks. Right now there about fifty people camped out in my meadow. I'm glad I'm not in charge of breakfast!

Sounds like Ruth's place is the party place.

EZMONEY 08-07-2011 09:30 AM

Well, Angie and I did 7 miles this morning between 2-4am on the walk to kick cancers butt!

bargoo 08-07-2011 11:24 AM

Congratulations, Gary for supporting this great cause. I have participated several times in the past. Getting together with a bunch of great people and
supporting a worthy cause is a great way to start the day.

EZMONEY 08-08-2011 07:17 PM

Thanks BARGOO ~ it was a bit of a family affair. My wife, sister and one of her daughters and grandson, our uncle and our church team met up for the survivor and caretaker lap to begin the relay. Angie was even asked to lead the crowd in yoga stretches at the last minute because the "usual" jazzercise gal didn't show up....

it was the first time I saw my "trophy wife" turn into a rock star yoga instructor with less than 2 minutes notice!

My sis and one of her daughters walked the midnight to 2am shift then Angie and I, her daughter and her dad's fiancee, another niece of ours and herboyfriend walked the 2-4 relay...we all got 6+ miles!

GRANDdaughter just left ....she has been here since noon yesterday for her first ever sleep-over at Nonni's and Grandpa's house....awesome!!

And only one :tantrum: in the 28 hr. period :)

She :cheer3: cheered up a bit when I made a computer deposit into her account ;)

Ruthxxx 08-09-2011 07:38 AM

Very nice, Gary. I hope and pray we finally beat that disease. I'm one of the survivors but I know many people who have not been as lucky.

Would you believe the weeds in my veggie garden are taller than I am? I may need a chainsaw to get through them.

EZMONEY 08-09-2011 08:33 AM

Not in a good mood this morning.......

bargoo 08-09-2011 01:09 PM

Going to see my possible new home in Davis, Ca today.

Ruthxxx 08-09-2011 03:45 PM

Gary, I hope your mood has improved.

EZMONEY 08-09-2011 06:56 PM

I am Ruth...thank you

My mood was a lttle sour on a combination of wall street blues...future work and a $2,800 knee operation for one of my goldens....

Hope your possible new home is just right for you Bargoo!

Stepping Out 08-09-2011 09:39 PM

I can understand Gary. We just replaced the engine in our only vehicle to the tune of $2800, and we're still having problems (thermostat & coolant hose) Just a series of attacks from the enemy  I'm sorry to hear about your dog.

Karen31 08-09-2011 11:18 PM

Gary, so sorry to hear about your "Golden" Please keep us updated on how things are going.

Ruthxxx 08-10-2011 06:45 AM

Gary, I've been there with my furries and completely understand how the rest of the worries pile up. I'm trying hard not to watch the market.

Today I officially become an old lady when I get two hearing aids fitted. Grrrr! Now I'll have to listen to people when they blether on and on.

EZMONEY 08-10-2011 08:29 AM

Thanks Ladies for the well wishes for Reba. The hard part will be trying to keep her crated for the better part of 3 months I 'spose. She is almost 8 and we feel too young to treat with just pain meds....we are hoping she lives to the high end of her age bracket of course and that would be a long time on pain medication and of course does not fix the torn ligament.

Can you hear me now?...Ruth?

Be good

bargoo 08-11-2011 09:14 AM

Good morning everybody ...where is everybody ?

EZMONEY 08-11-2011 07:53 PM

I had to work today....

Ruthxxx 08-12-2011 07:00 AM

Yes, I can hear you although I don't get the little plugs until next week. Too bad you had to work, Gary, but I notice you had enough energy to make a bunch of posts that knocked poor Threadkiller onto page 2!

As of tomorrow noon, I'll have four dogs in this house for a week. Anybody want one? I'll have a terrier mix, a Portuguese Water Dog, a tall beagle type and a Tsvetnaya Bolonka.

EZMONEY 08-12-2011 08:59 AM

OH NO! Ruth....lol...we have 3 right now as we are dog sitting my step-d's until Monday...my 2, although fine with him when he comes to visit are really PO'd that he has been staying!

Yep...I had time last night during the football game commercials and halftime to play games while Angie taught yoga at church....

she already had dinner made for us when I got home...yipee!

short day at work today...but the GRANDbaby sitting!!!

What in the heck is a Tsevtnaya Bolonka ?

It's a little dog similar to a Bichon but dark. They were developed in Russia as gifts to the nobility. Great little dogs that run about ten pounds but are sturdy, unlike some little dogs that are fragile.

EZMONEY 08-12-2011 06:01 PM

My step-d's dog is an Austrailian shepherd...he keeps rounding Angie and I, Reba and Rylee up......

we are all in a circle around the computer right now....allowing me time to post....

Ruthxxx 08-12-2011 06:29 PM

Jazz, being Russian, is wearing a velvet robe and drinking vodka on my velvet couch. Mazurkas are next after he finished his caviar.
Ваше здоровье!

EZMONEY 08-13-2011 08:41 AM

Babysat that GRANDdaughter last night for a few hours.....

those 2 mutts of mine and the daughter's sure were jealous...

not sure who's the bigger baby(ies)....

bargoo 08-14-2011 08:35 AM

OK where is everybody ? It's another day in which to excel !

EZMONEY 08-14-2011 08:39 AM

I was reading the paper....sorry Bargoo...but sometimes sports comes before Threadkiller!

I'm shocked at such disloyalty !

Ruthxxx 08-14-2011 01:36 PM

I'm living in a kennel but I am the leader of the pack. It's amazing how well dogs behave with each other. People could take lessons.

EZMONEY 08-15-2011 08:29 AM

Paper read....

bargoo 08-15-2011 08:30 AM

I thought I was the first one up but see Gary sneaked by me.

Ruthxxx 08-15-2011 09:00 AM

Been up since six. It's very time-consuming being leader of the pack.

EZMONEY 08-15-2011 09:03 AM

It sure is Ruth...hoping my step-d gets in from her trip to take her dog home today....not gonna be a happy camper here if her pup is still here tomorrow when I bring my Reba home from surgery.

Ruthxxx 08-16-2011 07:43 AM

Nope, Reba does not need agitation, especially from a younger mutt. My four continue to be best pals with nary a growl even at food times. The howling chorus when I leave becomes more muted and even stops in a minute or less according to my neighbours.

bargoo 08-16-2011 09:29 AM

I'm up . Dentist appointment today and then back to sorting and packing.

Ruthxxx 08-16-2011 04:30 PM

Got my new state of the art hearing aids this morning. I never realized what a noisy world we live in! Do all computer keyboards make a clicking noise?
