It's over. Finished my Christmas shopping by 3pm local time today. Was wished Merry Christmas by a Hindu shopkeeper. I didn't know what holiday to wish him in return.
Now to wrap. Have an hour before everyone gets here. Gotta hustle, LOL.
.
LOL, Bill! Now, I'm just assuming that you probably also started your Christmas shopping today, as well! Such a male......
Dutchie-the animal clocks will go all night, unless DH starts removing batteries-hehehe! Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), we got lots of snow and ice and are not visiting anyone, including MIL, this Christmas-nice and quiet and no sound effects for the manger scene.
Merry Christmas to Everyone!! Hoping you all have a wonderful holiday and that any extra calories will be worked off as easily as they are taken in God bless you all!
Bill, assuming that Christmas finds its origin in the return of the light (winter solstice, beginning of a new year) the nearest Hindu equivalent is Divali, the festival of Lights, but as the Hindu calendar is based on the lunar rather than the solar calendar, it is not on a set moment each year like Christmas is. This year Divali was in November.
Peace, love and joy and happy First Day of Christmas. I'm going to my friend Claire's house for coffee soon. She has a pear orchard and we'll be on the lookout for partridges.
Good Morning! Let me do my part to help with the "Killing" This is a picture of what my swimming pool looked like yesterday morning. So Gary, it finally did get cold here!!! BRRR!!
