  • Hi,

I am hoping to find other individuals out there who are starting or doing P90. I started P90X last Monday and did it for a few days but I had to be honest with myself, it was just too hard. I was watching too many exercises because I could not do them. Soooo, I ordered P90 and should get it today and I am starting fresh tomorrow. My plan is to work my way up to P90X.

Looking for buddies to check in with and help keep me motivated.

    Keep pushing Play!

  • I have done the P90X but currently not doing it- you aren't supposed to be able to do most of the video when you start just to let you know. Trust me even after 5 weeks there were still a few things that I was like NOPE not doing that! lol.
  • Thanks for the reply Beerab.
When I ordered P90X that is what I planned to do, what I could till I got stronger. But, I found myself watching way too much. I guess I was afraid I would not get much of a workout until I was stronger.

I am going to go ahead and try the P90, since I ordered it and see what I think. Who knows, maybe I will progress quickly and can do P90X sooner than I think. I can dream, right?!?

    Thanks again for you input.

  • YW! I mean it's definitely not for someone who is coming straight off of never working out- I don't know how much you exercised before the P90X but I would never start out with that if I never exercised before cuz that thing KILLED ME.
  • I've ordered Power 90 (should be here this week) and plan on starting it. I was doing TF and CLX before breaking my ankle last summer...since I can't pick up where I left off, I thought I'd treat myself to a new program. I've heard good things about P90 so I'm excited.
  • I'm currently doing P90X and I'm still having a hard time doing everything. I don't know if I'll ever be able to do the drea roll, but that is due to space in my apartment as well. There is a P90X thread but it seems to be dead as of late. Should we start another one? I would love to have some friends to motivate me. Today is my rest day, but I missed Kenpo X yesterday because of a massive clean of the apartment to make room for my boyfriend and all his stuff. Going to do that tonight when I get home from work. It's been a frustrating day and I could use the exercise to get it out. Will probably help me clear my mind and sleep better as well.

Let me know if you ladies want to start a P90/P90X thread or if we should just continue with the ongoing dead one...we could revive it.
  • I wouldn't mind a joint P90 and P90X accountability thread. P90X is out of my range right now--the only ones I have are KenpoX and CardioX anyway...the full program is on my wish list once I get to the point where I think I could do it, lol. Although KenpoX didn't seem that difficult.
I'm looking forward to getting my shipment this week (I'm a fitness video junkie).
  • P90
I thought my thread died. So happy to see some replies. I would love to start a P90 and P90X thread/group. I do not care if we start a new one or join one already going. Just let me know what you want to do.

I am on day 3 of P90. So far so good. I am hyped! I am going to stick it out all 90 days and either switch then to P90X or redo P90, depends on how strong I get.

I have a harder time sticking with a healthy low cal eating plan than exercising so that is another goal of mine.

Let me know how you are doing and what you are thinking as far as posting.

  • Finished day three of the cardio on P90.
I think I am already getting stronger, I was able to work at a faster pace. And I was able to do the entire 100 ab exercises.

    It is a start.

How is everyone doing today. BluCypressLily, did your dvds arrive yet?

  • OH my butt still hurts so bad from legs and back...soooooo bad. I'm keeping it up with he exercises though. My boyfriend is considering doing it with me now as he feels his midsection is too squishy these days. I went and checked out the gym that is in my office building as it might be nice to have somewhere to workout and get some exercise in if I know my evening will be busy. I just hate being locked into a contract and a month by month is 80something dollars. Might just be better to pay the drop in fee of $15 if I know something like that is going to happen. I'm loving the P90X eventhough it's kicking my *** and I hurt on a daily basis. The hurt is good and will be worth it. How is everyone else doing today?
  • FedEx delivered Power 90 today! Since I'm still at work (should have left 3 hours ago, sigh), I will be getting started tomorrow. Very excited. How's every one else doing?
  • Did Cardio 1-2 and Abs last night. Not bad!
  • I haven't done any workouts for the last couple days. I've got a killer cold and its making it hard to talk on the phone at work, nevermind breath while working out. I have been following the food plan and I managed to lose 5 3/4" this week...I'm at a running total of 10 1/4". That is with measuring my chest, waist, hips, thighs and arms. I'm losing the most from my thighs and the least from my waist so I may need to pump it up with the ab ripper.

My boyfriend, Dave, has decided he is ready to get rid of his gut, so Tuesday is the beginning of week 4 for me, but given how I've not been able to complete an entire week yet, I'm going to restart at week 1 and do it with him.
  • Hi.

So glad to hear from everyone.

I am on day 4 and going strong. I am a pretty sore in the arms though. But that means I must be doing something.

minimeeko, I am sorry that you are so sick. It was wise of you to wait until you can at least BREATH before working out. I hope you feel better soon. You must be thrilled with the results that you are already having. Fantastic. That is great that your boyfriend is going to begin working out with P90X too. You will both be looking good. Rest and heal, soon you will be back to working out.

BluCypressLily, so glad that you got your dvds and have begun. I did not think it was too bad either. But not saying it is easy or anything. Keep up the good work.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Exactly--it's not easy, but it's not too hard either. That's one of the things I really like about this style of workout...there are a ton of ways to lower or increase intensity, so it's fitting for a wide range of exercisers. Plus, as you get stronger, faster, etc, you won't outgrow it because you'll always have the option of increasing intensity.

What I did find encouraging that this is the first time I've worked out since breaking my ankle where my ankle didn't swell up after. I tried going back to what I was doing before (running, CLX and TurboFire), but my ankle would swell and throb. I didn't have any problems with P90. Hopefully this will get me back on track and eventually I'll be able to work up to those other programs again (I miss running!!)

    Minimeeko--hope you feel better soon!
