Good morning everyone! You all seem to be such a wonderful and supportive group, I'm really glad I joined you!
I woke up early this morning (6:30am), which is very unlike me, so that I could do HIIT 15 and stretch 10. Wow - HIIT really got me going!!! I also have my trainer this afternoon.
I think I am going to play the schedule by ear and see how it goes - I just want to make sure I am exercising 6 days a week - I want one day of rest, and I don't know that I'll be able to keep up the double workouts, even just once or twice a week, so let's see how it goes. Mornings are just not my thing! Although I must say it does feel good to have started the day out like this!!
Wishing you all lots of energy for your workouts today!!!
msm- great job getting up this morning and working out!
I did my 50min. weight training class at the y this morning. Then I came home and did the 20HIIT. I think maybe I should have done it the other way around but it is hard to get up super early. I would have had to do it at 6am then get the kids off to school then to the weight class. Any way it is done! I wanted to try 2 workouts today and I did! Have a great day!
Great job girls! I do love this check in and look forward to logging in my workout! Today I did Fire 45/HIIT 20/Stretch 10....i better wake up feeling tiny tomorrow! lol
Firstly thanks for the encouragement! And good for all of you for getting your workouts in as well!
So - I've decided I'm going to do TF very slowly - This morning I did HIIT 15 plus Stretch 10 as I said, then at 4:30pm I did weight training with my trainer for an hour. Then I played volleyball (I'm in a league and we play every Tuesday). So I think I am probably not going to be doing all three of those things every Tuesday. I basically want to work out with my trainer twice a week, do a yoga class once a week, and then do TF for 3 days. My plan is to follow the TF schedule on those 3 days - so it would be 2 weeks before I finish one week of TF.
I just don't want to try and do too much and burn myself out. I haven't been regularly exercising for a while now, and the last time I regularly exercised was February to April 2010 and I did Insanity. And again, I went from not working out to doing the entire Insanity program - I was proud of myself but I think I felt a bit burned out after and took wayyy too long of a break! I don't want that to happen again, so as long as I am moving 6 days a week, I am not going to push it too hard. Does this make sense?
msm - I think you're wise to start out slow. I started out trying to do to much and so I'm having to slow it down a bit. I was trying to do TF, The Firm & walk all at the same time and my body was so wipped out that all I could do after work yesterday was go home and go to bed. I need to pull back a bit so that I don't burnout.
Today was a rest day from Turbo Fire. I did 30 minutes of run/walk intervals on the treadmill.
Tomorrow is my 50 minute weight class and 15HIIT. I am hoping I can do both again like I did on Tues. We shall see.
Diana3271 - I never do the stretch workouts. It is just hard time wise for me, I have 3 and 5 year old boys, so I just do what I can. I try and remember something is better than nothing!
