Wahey - go lucky!

I didn't sleep too well last night, BUT DF was out all night doing his police shift thingy, and I woke up at 3am for the loo, then I made myself half a cup of warm milk with vanilla and splenda, woke up at 6am when he got back, then again at 8.30 and couldn't get back to sleep for a lie-in!

I made it through the day without a binge though! WOOOO HOOOO!

And I've been kickboxing

See you all lighter

Well, work is kind of a butt kicking to old self esteem muscle. I'm reminded that I do very well in my controlled environment but I'm zilch against temptation.
I'll do good today and then go in at 3 pm buoyed with determination!
Whoa ... even to me that looks weak.

You'll be ok Susan, take your no fail environment with you - only eat out of your cooler and nothing else.

I bought a new cool bag today, it's got marshmallows on it!

I've done really well so far today, I didn't eat lunch till I was hungry and then I got a very healthy chicken sandwich, then I've come home and had a nap, then made grilled tuna with string beans and boiled new potatoes.

I'm even under calories, so I can sneak in some chocolate or fudge if I'm so tempted. Well it is the weekend

I am feeling particularly proud of myself and just had to share!

First of all, I'm down to 143.2 but that isn't even the good news. I've managed 5 days of good eating and ending UNDER 1500 calories on average. Plus my workouts have been spot on.

Yesterday and today, though, proved to be quite a challenge. Saturday night one of my son's friends and his three year old sister spent the night with us. We ordered pizza and I baked some brownies for them. I ate only 2 1/2 pieces of pizza and avoided the brownies all together. Before dinner I took them to the park and pulled the little girl and my daughter (plus a couple of other kids who hitched a ride) around in a wagon for a good 45 minutes. Well, the kids stayed up late and that would normally spell disaster for me. But, I stayed out of the kitchen. Then, come midnight, the little boy was homesick and wanted to go home. His sister stayed but wanted to sleep on the couch so I had to sleep on the loveseat (why a 2 foot kid gets the big couch while I get the short one I don't know). Needless to say I was exhausted today. Another recipe for disaster. I forced myself to make a healthy breakfast when all I really felt I had the energy for was grabbing one of the Krispy Kreme's DH had picked up for the kids. Alas, I knew one would turn into two, then three. By lunch time I was really dragging. I found myself milling around the kitchen wanting to eat just to keep myself awake. I pulled myself together, threw on my swimsuit and some suncreen and headed to the backyard and relaxed while watching the kids play in the sprinkler. Now, I'm turning in early for the night and going to bed just a little hungry (which feels GOOD) and I've set my alarm early enough to get to the gym before the kids wake up tomorrow.

So, to make a long story short - if it isn't too late for that - is YAY ME!

Well making it through the weekend has made the scales go down to my pre-Cornwall weight I'm hoping they might drop some more soon too, just a hunch, but perhaps all this working out and CONSISTENCY is doing the trick

I'm feeling really pooped today, I'm trying to keep my hand out of the biscuits and fruit bowl and chocolates! I'm not at all hungry, just very blah - I have a half-cold too, been fighting it off for nearly a week and it's just lingering in the background.

I'm off to see a band tonight with DF, so we can perhaps think about hiring them for our wedding. It should be a good night, but I think it might involve a meal out... If I can make it through the weekend, I can make it through tonight

Ok, I'm just gonna check in with LWL, then I AM going to get on with some work!

I'm BACK!

I did some work, decided I didn't like it so came back on here!

My new exercise vs food vs weight journal caught my eye and it's just one week till the end of April. Now Susan reminded me that I'd pledged to lose 5lbs by the end of April. That means I have 3.5lbs to go before Sunday... Can I do it? I'm feeling hopeful but I won't be too dissapointed if I don't make it. But I know it's at least nearly possible!

Oh and I checked out the nutrition info on the Pizza Hut website for tonight, I think I might be ok! They have these Hi-Light pizzas now (shame they don't have a pepperoni one!!!!), and I have enough room for an individual veggie one of those, and if I get to the gym and do anything reasonably strenuous I might allow myself a small dessert - perhaps ice cream factory!!! I know it's junk, but the ice cream's mainly air and it's low calorie!

I lost those 5 lbs but I found some of them this morning. There's one in each hand ... can't move my rings, and there's a couple in my face. I feel oriental! Which makes no sense at all. I think my circadian rythmns must be off from working evenings this weekend

Aww poor Susan, you've got a whole week to take them off again

Still dragging myself through the day - I nibbled a HobNob and a small piece of chocolate... I'll be ok, I promise! I'm full now and I've got healthy stuff for later.

Morning Jen! I hope I can flush some of these pounds away, right quickly. Ugh! I'm not a morning person AT ALL! And waking up all puffy does not help!

A couple of times in the last few weeks I've been taking a peek at my sodium levels too. Hmmm ... a little bit of junk makes a big difference. Apparently, I need to watch the 'cleaness' of my food a little better.

First off Lucky and 2frus for the lbs lost.

Susan~~Isn't bloat wonderful?!?

As for the 5 lb challenge for April...........I'm still trying to get back to where I was but technically I DID lose 5 lbs....... they were just ones that I had already lost! lol

My weekend away didn't do too much damage. I'm up three lbs today but I always retain water when I travel so tomorrow will be better.

I must say I love coming on here and reading this thread. Thanks ladies for all the support, advice, motivation and funnies!

Gaylyn

I've been a slight chocolate monster today! I'm still ok calorie wise, but 3 pieces of choccy and 2 Hob Nobs does not a skinny Frus make!

I blame TOM and the fact that I've saved my afternoon snack for after tea later on, so if I just have a little salad at Pizza Hut, then I can eat my turkey pita (which I must go and make now!) when I get hungry because I've been awake long past my bedtime!
