Weigh-In but the scale may be broken...

I'm pretty sure I'm 165 this morning, waist 34", hips 43", but the scale does this strange thing where sometimes I'm 165, then 157, then 149. And while it would be nice to be those weights, I don't think it's true yet.

And going out to buy a new scale (just for me, no husbands, no two-year-olds) isn't going to happen right now because my mother-in-law drove to Boston with my carseat in the back. And it's snowing. Again.

Plus side, I ran 28 minutes today with C210K and burned 270 calories and played outside in the snow for 30 minutes, hauling my son out of snowdrifts.

Feb 17 - 62.7
Feb 18 - 62.0
Feb 19 - 62.0
Feb 20 - 61.5

Shows how little I have been trying lately. As soon as I put my mind to it, it works.

New goal - 59 something by end of Feb so 1.6kg in 8 days. I know I can do it as I am retaining water and have been busy and eating rubbish socially so if I just watch my intake it should work perfectly. Need to keep posting here though! You guys keep me accountable :)

Congrats! I think you said you wanted to stay around 120. You really are a dedicated exerciser! :broc:

It always get lower....honestly I want to be back at 105 lbs or borderline underweight...I was getting excited when it said 118 lbs. I think around 112 lbs would be a BMI of 18.5. I'm trying to convince myself I'll be happy at 120 lbs, but I'm not. Anyway. Good luck guys on your goals. :)

So I'm going to give it some REAL effort now!

I'm going to try to stay on plan and exercise for the next 7 days in a row.

Ditto Oneten! I wish we would have converted to the metric system and kept up with the rest of the world. I love the scales when we travel to Europe. I have to go to a Kg to pound conversion website to get an idea of what the numbers mean when I'm at 'home':o

Thesame7lbs - Nice numbers this month! You are doing great!

Jen - Nice job keeping it healthy!

Hungerwerks - Thanks for giving such positive support to everyone....you are much appreciated!

Crunchymama - Good job with the work out!

Right there with ya on the scale thing. I use two, usually. Sometimes one will read one thing, and less than a minute later read a pound more or less. A new scale!

They are around a pound apart, I guess. I usually average the results from each scale for my unofficial weigh-ins. But on an OFFICIAL weigh-in, like today, I'll just go with the weight on the lower scale - yes, I said it! I asked my husband if he was going to report me to the scale police, lol. :D

That's cool about the C210K. I don't have a smart phone, just an ancient flip phone, so I hadn't heard of it. That might be called intervals - run 15 minutes, walk 60 seconds. I do something similar around the house: jog during the show, walk during the commercials! :carrot: At any rate, congrats on all the exercise! ;)

It's really amazing how much you can lower your weight so quickly.

You are sweet, but I was just telling our newest Feather, wedeburn, that it's taken me since February of last year to lose about 20 pounds.

Maybe you're talking about within a week. Like, today I weighed in at 118.3, which is about 6 & 1/2 pounds higher than my official weigh-in from Friday, 2/20/15 of 111.8.

Part of that, I hope, is the fact that I had wet hair, lol. But, truth be told, I eat a LOT, of very high-fat foods, on my two Up Days a week. The way the diet is working now, those days are one after the other, near or on the weekend. So, it's mostly food weight.

The other part of the diet: I have five Down Days in a week, where I have about 600 calories a day - kind of an intermittent fasting approach. That results in a definite calorie deficit! But I do get all my medically-recommended (8400) calories in a week, and more. I love to eat! :cloud9: And I try to make it very healthy, low carb food, for the most part. I also have some "free" foods, like as many non-starchy green vegetables as I can fit in a pan/bowl to go with my main meal, and raw nuts and frozen blueberries to go with taking my vitamins.

I wouldn't do this if I was underweight, and I don't recommend it for anyone else. But it works for me, and it's the first diet that has - out of MANY - in my life.

Hope that helps explain it. ;)

Edit: It'll be interesting to see how hard it is to get to my weekly target weight-loss of one-half pound. I went kind of crazy this weekend, with candy and ice cream. A little embarassing, after mentioning eating healthy, above, but I think if we allow splurges once in a while, it can help prevent bigger problems.
