Not much of an update...

The last time I weighed myself, I was 142.5. (up .5 lb) Granted it was the afternoon after I had Chinese food so I have no idea if that was my true weight. :?:

This week, TOM is arriving some time around Thurs/Fri, so I guess there's no point in weighing in again till next Mon. NO EXCUSES...I WILL get out of the 140s in July! Last month, I averaged less than a pound a week. :o So it's time to ramp up my workouts and add in more strength training.

On the upside, I saw some pics from the 4th of July that didn't make me cringe. I looked happy and healthy. :carrot: It only gets better from here so I need to stay dedicated and focused on improving not only my appearance but my overall health.

EmmaD: Hang in there girlfriend! You already know that I completely feel your pain! I loss 3 lbs in June! Three itsy bitsy pounds after all that hard work. Yet, 30% of my summer clothes are too big! I've already spent a small fortune getting alterations done on a few dresses. And have a ton more to drop off.

EmmaD 07-12-2015 04:39 PM

Hi fellow 140s! Hope you are all out enjoying life and not focusing on your weight :D

Well I personally need a little less enjoying and a little more focus! I am still hunkered down in the 140s. I had 4 major derailments since the end of June, due to trips, family gatherings and a holiday weekend. I still haven't mastered moderation, I am very all-or-nothing apparently, so when I go "off plan" I go into binge mode. Definitely something I need to work on for the long term.

I have been bouncing up and down over a 5-6 pound range depending on food intake. I still haven't made it down to my low of 141.2 that I saw in June. Today was 142.4.

SO - I had originally committed to a strict diet for ~4 months, until Sep. 1. This was somewhat arbitrary but I figured it would get me into a decent range for maintenance. I am attempting to start fresh. There are 8 weeks left until (American) Labor Day, so I am making that my challenge. ... no particular weight goal, just stick to healthy eating and start incorporating exercise and get out of these dang 140s that torture me so much

C'mon 130s!!

I'm pretty sorry that this thread is a few days old. Would it pick up if I bumped it?

It will pick up if people start posting in here!! :D

We don't have a featherweights chat any more so I have been posting here sometimes but not many others have been around. I miss the old days of featherweight activity...

That being said, I am happily leaving the lovely 140s ladies. I finally bumped out of this decade by the skin of my teeth

Entered: May 1 @149.6 pounds
Exited: July 20 @ 139.8 pounds

FYI this equals 80 days "in the 140s" and an average weight loss of 0.12 pounds per day ('cause all those bumps UP get factored in there)

It was really hard, I had lots of setbacks and craziness and frustration, but I was single-mindedly committed to weighing less than 140 pounds again. And it gave me something to focus on besides work.

Hang in there, whoever is still checking in here, it's worth all the effort! Maybe see ya in the 130s if that's where you're headed next...

:woohoo:

PS Here is what my FitDay graph looks like, documenting the ups and downs of getting out of the 140s. I started "cutting back" around 4/23 and Ideal Protein diet on 4/29. Have fun with your journeys chickies!

I'm not even really qualified to be here :D But I've been 151.5 for a couple of days so it won't be long. My short term is to get under 140. From there I'll see about shape and size and so on ... I've lifted before but not done bootcamp on a regular basis so that might make a difference.

Joining! Currently 146/7 which is the heaviest I've ever been. It has stacked on quickly parallel to achievements in my career over the past year and a half but because I didnt weigh myself I had no idea I had gained over 22lbs. My lovely husband says he honestly didn't notice, bless him. Long story short, in 2 months time we will be visiting a whole heap of his relatives who i haven't seen since i was 120lbs. I know i won't be able to get there in time but my goal is 132. Thank you in advance for your support, have tried to do it myself since weighing in early in july but not working well at all. Looking forward to meeting you all xx

A change in my 'career' is why I'm here too! Gone to part-time and I'm insanely excited about it! I haven't worked since Friday. I've been to bootcamp twice, I got plenty over my step goal each day and I'm sleeping better!
However, I'm going in for a night shift just shortly. Just one, which is a bonus. But I normally eat all-night-long ...

Just out of interest - does anyone know how much weight you can safely (I mean just by eating 1200cal and exercising, nothing extreme!) lose in just under 60 days?

srmb60 07-22-2015 12:34 PM

I've often heard that averaging 2 pounds per week is safe and doable. But we also know that our bodies have water, hormonal and 'for no good reason' fluctuations so 15 give or take???

I did OK with that night shift. Yesterday was a wreck! Sleeping short periods and wandering around waiting to get sleepy again LOL Some of my steps were about like a zombie.

Two months for your goal Perennial? Is there an occasion?

I weigh and measure tomorrow but couldn't resist having a sneak peek. I could do 5 lbs in my first two weeks!! But I have to be good today ;)

Wow, what you do for night shift work srmb?

Yep, have a trip planned in just under 2 months and will be seeing people i haven't seen since i was 120lbs... I'll be here on the forums until i get to 120 again but the plan is to get to 132 by the trip.

Weighed in at 145 today... plan seem to be working!!!

I'm still up and down in the 140s. Got down to 142 but it's been up down up down. Dang.

I'm a nurse in a small rural hospital. I've recently gone back to part-time. A stretch of night shifts was killing me so ... Now, of course I have to prove that it's healthier for me to be part-time LOL

Oh that's great that you're off night shifts now, srmb60 :)

Have a great weekend all. Hoping to be 144 something tomorrow!
