kifli-Glad we both got back on track. What is your calorie intake?

I did really well yesterday. Have today's food all planned and logged already, hoping to not gain this weekend.

And I'm calling it 1st goal made, as I never EVER plan on regaining this weight, if I can help it!

Dottington - I am short and I have a really small frame, so I have to keep it low to lose. I was eating on avg b/w 1300-1500 calories with cardio or strength training 4x/week.
I just dropped to a strict 1200 max, and hopefully, I will see some change :)

kifli-Congrats on making your first goals! :carrot: I understand needing to keep the calories low, especially as we're at lower weights and since you are shorter with a small frame. I actually try to keep around 1400-1600 but I'm a bit taller.

Up 2lbs of water weight. Last night my fiance took me out to dinner and I got food poisoning. Ugh. Also the food wasn't very good and pushed my calories over so it just sucked. Today I'm a bit weak, going to take it easy.

Dottington- There is nothing worse than food poisoning! After college, I lived in So Cal with my Aunt and Uncle for a short while, and it seemed like I was getting sick all of the time. Still not sure what was the cause of that (food allergy or intolerance, possibly?). It's not a problem now so much, just occasional. Anyway I hope you feel better! Take it easy!!! Poor thing! BTW, Congrats on your engagement. Very exciting! And yes, that little bit of height helps with calorie intake!!! There is so little wiggle room when you're short, since you have to eat 'healthy' but hardly at all if you're trying to lose! Such a narrow window.

I stayed with my new calories yesterday, but ate some salty food as well, which is why I think I'm up. I guess 132 was definitely my 'low', and not necessarily my 'current' :) I take a weightlifting class at the gym, but today the instructor was sick, so there was an Insanity substitute instructor in her place.....oh my, did I get my rear kicked! I had to take some Ibuprofen just now, and I don't take ANY meds unless I really think it's necessary :)

Kifli-Thanks! :hug: Yesterday was pretty miserable, but I'm feeling a lot better now :) Sounds like you really got a good workout in! I do weight lifting as well, I've found its the only thing that really changes my body. I'm an avid hiker and enjoy backpacking and mountaineering, but the hiking just seems to make me thinner but still squishy. Lifting is the only thing that seems to really help. I'm sure the blip in the scale is from the salty foods, you'll be down to your gaol again in no time!

Ugh weight still up. Felt so miserable yesterday and wanted to binge, but managed to curtail it. But still ate more than normal calories plus its PMS and TOM should be starting any moment. Can't wait for this stupid water weight to flush out. Been feeling really bloated.

Dottington - I feel for you, poor thing! Hang in there. Thank goodness time passes, right?! I really like lifting. I had more muscle tone b4 my gain, so I didn't really ever work out. Now, I NEED to lift and work out! I haven't lost much weight this time around since starting back up (only 5 pounds so far), but WOW lifting is definitely starting to reshape my body, thank goodness! I have been on 3FC FOREVER, trying to lose the same weight! I'm really determined to become fit and healthier!!!
BTW- I like to hike also, and we live in Oregon so there are a ton of trails here right near our house (We're surrounded by forests). I just get nervous going alone with my two little ones. I'm a wimp, and anyone could kick my rear! My husband works during the day. I guess I need a hiking partner older than 6 and 3 :)

kifli-Wow we have totally different hiking grounds! haha I'm originally from the desert and do a mixture of desert hiking and going up to the mountains to hike. But the mountains here are extremely dry so their forests are pretty dusty with lots of rocks and not a ton of foliage. Oregon is so beautiful! I go out hiking alone all the time. Sometimes I carry pepper spray with me, but not always. I'm not really scared of hiking alone. At least the places I go I know are pretty safe and I've been going to for years. Maybe you could carry spray and a big stick if you can't find a hiking partner?

Ok so something is really wrong/off with my body. This huge gain does not make sense. Even though I ate a bit extra this weekend, it was no where near enough for that kind of gain. Its TOM but it has to be something else too....I'm thinking I must have had gluten by accident bc its the only thing that makes me weight go crazy like this and give me the other issues I'm having. Food allergies are the worst :mad:

Dottington - Thank you for the pepper spray/stick suggestion :) I'm seriously thinking about it! There are some questionable individuals in our area. Speaking of areas, I used to live in Southern Cal in the LaQuinta/ Palm Desert area. I LOVED it there!!! I love the high desert and miss it tremendously! I remember hiking up the mountains to collect plants for one of my classes during spring break (I was visiting family, but later moved there). It was amazing! My family still lives there, and I need to go visit them soon again.
Yes, it sounds like you ate something your body definitely didn't agree with, so hopefully you'll see a big whoosh back down after water retention is gone :)

kifli-Oh how funny! I was born in Palm Springs and grew up there :) My parents still live there and I'm only 45 min away so I still go out pretty often. I love the desert. I'm pretty sure I could never live somewhere cold for very long(I've tried and it hasn't worked out!). My fiance jokes that I'm a lizard :p

Weight dropping thankfully. Man, this week's weigh-ins have not been good :( TOM is almost over and I'm feeling a lot more "normal". Been very strict with my eating and have a fantasy of getting to a new low by Friday but realistically I'd just love to be back to 135! Had a really good lifting session today. Really loving my arms, back, and shoulders. Hopefully the fat will finally start coming off my thighs and lower stomach now!

Dottington - I LOVE that area. I worked at Eisenhower Med Ctr on the weekends, and commuted to Loma Linda 5 days a week to do cancer research during the weekdays, for 2 years. Was trying to decide b/w medical or dental school at the time. I met one of my very best friends while I was there :) I always wished I could go back. I'm a lizard wannabe, but grew up as a duck here in oregon! Glad to see your weight is coming down :)

So I think I really am 132 now. I'm not going to call '1st goal' right now until I reach 131, just to be on the safe side. I have been sticking to my lower calories, but made some Veteran's Day star-shaped sugar cookies with my boys yesterday...a little cheat, but still within my range. Hoping to see 120's this month, but this has been tough.

kifli-I actually live in Loma Linda right near the school. My sister is in nursing school at LL and I go to another near by college. She's graduating this year and actually really wants to work at Eisenhower! Did you end up in med or dental school?

Yay! Finally back down, really really crossing my fingers for a new low on Friday! 135.x has been my low for so long now :p
