MaddieB: Not a twig...skinny fat! I look great in clothes but not so much in a bathing suit! I carry tons of belly fat (typical apple shape). I will brave a pic one of these days. My best advice to you and anyone trying to lose weight and tone up...LIFT HEAVY WEIGHTS! I wish someone would have told me that way earlier. I've wasted a lot of time at bootcamps and pilates (which I love so not really a waste), but it did not help me get the look I've been after. I've noticed more change in body in 5 weeks of a lifting program than 5 yrs of other stuff! I'm doing a body recomposition...my goal is to lose body fat and not too much more weight. I cannot support the look I want with my little muscle, but I still have to eat a deficit to lose fat!
I tried on a bikini yesterday and it was not pretty. I looks great with clothes on, a nice pair of jeans and I am good. I have been lifting and doing kettle bell squats but not diligently because the shred is killing me. Your post reminded me to get back to it.Originally Posted by Bayzee

) I feel the same way that you do; "Am not impressed unless there's an actual loss between my low number from last week (145) and tomorrow." For me, I won't feel like I'm making any progress until I'm at least down to 125.4 since thats where I was last week.
