elleohelle - LOL, I like your user name, pun totally intended!

Welcome to the Feather's Chat! OMG those silly compression pants are rediculous - my husband got me a pair for Christmas last year and I didn't see what the big deal was, especially not for $100 or more per pair! He loves his though, and that was the only thing he asked for, so I had to make sure and get him another set. They definitely aren't something I would normally buy for myself though.
How long will you be in Vietnam? Eating healthy isn't too hard if you set your mind to it... the problem is setting your mind to it! haha right now I'm battling the 'it's the holidays' mindset, I think we all are!
olehcat - Yeah, and I'm taking my own advice too; had a bunch of goodies yesterday and I'm right back on plan today.
I really hope he does like his gifts... I always worry about that and put too much pressure on myself.
Ohtheplaces - For all of your aches about what you ate yesterday, your weigh-in went really well! I am hoping to have the same luck tomorrow in spite of last night's treats. I was 119.6 pounds last week so I've got my fingers crossed for 118 pounds tomorrow. That would be amazing!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I got my days mixed up so I don't have to do my weekly weight check until TOMORROW, not today... I'm hoping that whatever extra food is in my body from yesterday will be through my system by then. I'm not stressing the actual number too much, so as long as I didn't gain I'll be satisfied. Key word being SATISFIED... LOL, I'll be HAPPY with less.
Today I get to go pick the two pair of jeans I dropped off the other day to have fitted, and I'm super excited! I know it's so dorky but I seriously LOVED both of those pair of pants, and I haven't worn them for over a year because they've been too big on me. I donated most of my clothing but for whatever reason I just could NOT get rid of those two. Why it took me so long to take them in I have no idea, but I'm glad I did... and a little nervous too. I hope they did a good job on them!
Oh, and in NOT SO FUN news; the big plans we had for a super indulgent, decadent, glorious Christmas have gone down the toilet. Our friends who were going to be hosting dinner can be a bit flakey, and I think the last 2 or 3 times we have had plans something has 'come up' and they've cancelled. Last night I shot them a quick message to verify that they were still hosting dinner under the guise of 'do you need us to bring anything?' (sneaky, right?) and they said "oh, well we decided not to do a big dinner this year... I have to work the next day and blah blah blah..." so yeah, no dinner.
Now I don't know what to do. My husband doesn't care and he'd be happy as a clam going to the gym and eating a sandwich for dinner. I am totally fine going to the gym but I bought a new dress and I want to do something at least a bit special for dinner! The problem is that I don't have time to prepare a menu before I get there and all the stores will likely be closed on that day.

So... I guess we'll just play it by ear. If nothing else I'll eat like normal and that still leaves me some room for indulgences on NYE or something.
It's just funny how worried I was about the big party at the ranch and then a huge decadent dinner the next day, and what that would mean in terms of calories... but now we're staying sober on Christmas Eve at the Ranch and we're not doing dinner on Christmas! haha
I'm thinking I *might* be able to run by the store before we go to the ranch and get stuff to make garlic bread and lasagne for dinner on Christmas, maybe a bottle of wine for me. I'm totally open to any suggestions though! If anyone has any good recipes or ideas for an easy dinner or dessert hook me up. I normally wouldn't have any issues but due to the timing, I'm probably going to have to make a list for my husband and have him to to the store ahead of time.
Or... normal 'healthy' dinner and save the calories? Thoughts??
Anyway, today is my last day of work... yay! Hope everyone else enjoys their Friday!
