Stuff's been weird lately - our former board president and a founding member of the organization I work for, one of the most prominent New Yorkers in the disability independence movement, died suddenly on Friday. May she R.I.P. and all that. On the bright side, a dude in my building just told me he's a Dungeon Master and tried to recruit me to game with him and his buds.
Weekend was great! Saturday was a music festival - I got EPIC munchies at night and destroyed some macaroni and cheese. Sunday BF and I went hiking in Vermont during the afternoon, and then my roommate and I played music at a bluegrass open jam at the local old man pub! I hadn't touched my violin in months, and it was like a fire was lit beneath me. I feel all inspired to play more music now.
Something's whack with my (cheap digital) home scale maybe? I dunno. It has been inconsistent lately and weighed me today at heavier than yesterday despite the gym scale weighing me at considerably less. Oh well I kinda don't care. I hurt my knee running on Saturday on hills, but went for a 5 mile hike anyway yesterday. Today I just lifted to try and give it a rest but it was still hurting. Oh well!
kakers Awww I love cats on leashes. If I could have one (landlord is allergic) I would bring him/her EVERYWHERE with me! What did you have @ Wendy's? Wendy's is definitely my favorite drive-thru fast food chain in the Northeast.
JossFit As always your cooking looks amazing. Yesterday I had to eat some leftover salmon with orzo, so I stir-fried up some mushrooms, dumplings and spinach in garlic to go with them - adding gorgonzola cheese and vidalia onion relish from the local orchard kicked it up x a million. No picture because it looked gross and I was so hungry I just inhaled it. Hope you had a happy birthday - with a breakfast like that pancake I bet you did

LisaTcan I also use hunger before bed as a sign I'm at a deficit. I have been...not so hungry before bed for a long time now. The hardest part for me is balancing progress in the weight room with eating at a deficit...I always get worried I won't be able to lift as much if I'm hungry!
