I decided in November that I was going to run a 10K in 2011 and signed up for the Women's 10K in Glasgow in May. I started running at the gym about 3 times a week and gradually built up my time and distance. I started running outside over Christmas, I wasnt going to let the festivities ruin my efforts! Well today in the gym I really wanted to challenge myself and decided I was going to run 8K. But I got to 8K and knew if I pushed a little bit more I could do 10K.
And I did!!

It took me 1 hour 14 mins and it felt amazing! I know running in a gym is much easier than outside but there was a time when I couldnt even do 2K on a treadmill!
The weight hasn't been coming off the past couple of weeks but I KNOW how much fitter I am since October/November last year.
I just wanted to share my first NSV with you
