  • Been lurking and not posting here for a bit. I'm trying to figure out how to get losing again. I just keep creeping UP. April will start with me doing a sort of re-start for the first couple weeks. I've been inconsistant and too snacky.
    I'm getting back to what was working for me all last year which I inexplicably stopped doing once I reached goal ever so briefly this January. Back to basics, less processed junk...it's gonna be good!

    Love the downs - hate the ups .

    But I have come to except that it is more the norm than we would like to admit.

    That's why a long term plan to be healthy and a look back at how many improvements I have made in my life keep me going.

    Continue the journey - it's worth the work - summer will be here soon!!
  • March round up?

    I have lost just over 6 lbs.
    Bust down 1 inch
    Waist down 1 1/4 inches
    Hips down 1 inch.

    I'm happy!

    Now ... on to April during which I must exercise properly!

    Able to walk/run six miles in an hour!

  • danni-You said it! The thing is, along the lines of healthy lifestyle, I haven't been eating right. I've eaten when I'm not hungry, eaten too much junk and even occassionally eaten to extreme fullness. These are NOT part the lifestyle I hope to live long-term, ya know?
    I can take the ups and down if I'm doing the right stuff, but I can't stand how much I've let things slide and now I'm up almost 10 pounds from earlier THIS year! NOT cool!!!
  • Susan and Silverstar: oh my gosh! You guys have gotten so far so fast!

    For my last-day-of-March roundup, I'll just rewrite the goals I posted at the beginning and see how I measure up:

    -keep up the 3 mile walks/jogs at least 4 times a week
    Success! Although on some days I just did 2 in the interest of time or my poor sore quads.

    -stick to 1600-1700 calories every day except Sundays
    Success again! And actually, though Sundays used to be my let-go days, they've recently been 1500 days because I sleep in and laze around not burning much energy

    -hit that elusive 128
    I overshot my expectations on this one to hit an even 127.0! Especially surprising since I celebrated a double birthday this month (both the boyfriend's and mine, so double the amount of chocolate cake). I should have written down what I weighed when I wrote that post, because it may mean that I can shoot for 125 next month instead of my planned 126. Either way, I'm going at a slow but steady pace. I don't want to be like those racers who get too excited and trip at the finish line!

    I am ready for April. That sounds like Spring.
  • I lost 6 lbs. total and 1" each off my hips and waist (bust stayed the same, which I'm totally fine with--my under-bust measurement went down). I also started jogging this month, and finished my first 5K run on Monday!

    It's really nice to think on the positives from this month since I had a bad weigh-in this week--thanks for getting it started, Susan
