I have 10-15 lbs left to lose and i'm curious as to how many of you have experienced a BIG slow down in your losses. Its so infuriating that i do everything right and still don't lose!!! Makes me NUTS!! But with little to lose i shouldn't be expecting to lose is very quickly...but i prefer steady to anything, even if its just .2 a week!!!!

Yeah, I'm sure you know this, but the less you weigh, the harder it is to lose weight! You need to really up your cardio and maybe cut back just a bit on calories. You can do it! We're here for you!

Exactly! I feel your pain. I have hit 155 and this is my pre-baby weight. I had the hardest time getting below 150 years ago. I am so freakin determined this time! It seems no matter how much I exercise and how well I stay on plan, I just can't lose. I think I am going to do a little more strength training starting....now.

Been there, done that.
I thought those last ten pounds would never go away. Stay persistent and it will happen.

Default It's not easy being short!!!

I'm 5'3" and I am about 139. I really want to be 130 so I can "bounce" from 130 to 135 instead of "bouncing" from 135 to 140. I'm on Weight Watchers so I only get 18 pts. I think that's what I get I haven't checked to see if that changed this year. I don't go to meetings, I just keep up with points at home.

Hi there skinnybeach. I too am feeling the same frustration. I make progress during the week, then have a fairly minor slip (weekends ) and poof... start back at the top of those ten-ish pounds.
Argh.
I'm thinking more miles might help. And of course, the ever proven weight training process. But I don't seem to get to that one, at least haven't yet

I'll send you some voodoo loss vibes. Will you send them back?

Yes, I'm on board with this, too! I've got 9 to go and it seems like it's absolutely dragging! I can't wait to get there!

I am, too! I've got about 10 to go as well... and I keep bouncing around anywhere from 129 to 136, it's soooo frustrating. I stopped looking at the scale... it causes too much emotional upset too early in the morning! I've been focusing on weight training and some high-intensity interval running... hoping that might make the fat budge a bit...

It seems like at this point where we all are, any little thing we eat/drink/do shows up on the scale.

Talking I opted for something different

I thought my "ideal" goal weight was 125-130. I ended up at 130-135 after 6 months of trying to get those last 5 lbs. off.

I started strength training to make the most of the 133 lbs I've been at for the last 2 months and I love the way my body looks and my clothes fit.

I'm at my "happy" weight - 133 - and I get to eat treats once every couple of days and drink a glass of wine now and again with no worries.

Sometimes your body just won't accept the goal you set and sets its own goal .

Mudpie...those are some very smart words. I want so bad to get down to about 120 but maybe what i should be doing is worrying more about getting my cardio system built up (hence being able to jog long distantaces....like 2 or 3 miles) and start working out with weights to build more muscle. Now that my front yard is cleaned out and my bf has moved in...now would be a great time to start building the muscles i may have been abandoning while working on cardio and foods.

I feel your pain. I'm right there with you. Patience has never been a virtue I have possessed.

It will all be worth it in the end though, hang in there!!!
