Default Daily Food Thread - July

oh man, it's already the beginning of july, and i had set new goals, wanted to start fresh, and already kind of messed up.

b: bowl of honey nut cheerios/cornflakes mix with skim milk, and one small green apple
l: buffet lunch at the trader's hotel (two of my supervisors at the hotel, treated my mom and me to lunch today, and you know with buffet style, i kinda ate a lot, and maybe 20% of what i ate wasn't healthy)
d: i'm planning to have a nice bowl of healthy cereal, and either yogurt or an apple to kinda balance out my bad lunch.

i exercised 20 mins this morning, and i'm off to the gym now for another 30 mins!

Default Daily Food Thread - July

I will start a monthly thread food... If it gets too long I will do a weekly food thread... Is that OK with everyone?

Kate -- I will merge your menu with this thread ....

thanks Ilene
so, i think yesterday it all balanced out, i did a total of 100 minutes of exercise.

today..
b: one bowl of honey nut cherrios and corn flakes with skim milk, 7 small pieces of papaya, and half a cheese sandwich (slap. bad kate.)
l: one bowl of honey nut cherrios and corn flakes with skim milk, one small green apple, two table spoons of strawberry banana of low fat yogurt (i didnt like the taste.. and threw it out )
d: veggie broth, one palm-sized piece of fish, 2 tablespoons of sauteed eggplant, and 5 pieces of tofu
dessert: 7 pieces of papaya

i think i did pretty good today, despite the fattening cheese sandwich. luckily i exercised today of a total of 70 minutes of cardio, and 15 strength training.

So far, I'm happy to say that I seem to be back on the wagon, after a pretty terrible weekend (foodwise anyhow...it was lots of fun!)

B: Strawberry bran bites (took me until 11am to eat all of them because I was feeling sick)

L: Small Italian Wedding Soup (about 1cup, or 1.5 cups), tea bisquit with margerine

S: about 3 teaspoons peanut butter

D: Its going to be Barilla plus (protein enriched whole wheat) pasta with tomato sauce

I'll probably have some fruit a little bit later on, since I didn't really get a whole lot of my greens in today. So all in all, not a bad day...probably a bit too much fat (and more calories than I think) because of the tea bisquit, but I think for my first day back on track I did okay.

I also walked about 40 minutes total (to and from work) and I did a 30 minute turbo jam workout this morning.

That's my kind of meal!!!

Just wanted to say that for the past two days I've had Ilene's protein pancake for breakfast. Why did I have the impression that it would be dry? It was wonderful! Next time, I'm going to make a huge batch, cook them all up and then freeze them in individual baggies so I can nuke them for a quicker breakfast.

Monday~
B~protein pancake
S~mixed berries
L~2 c carrots, celery and pea pods, 2 c cherries
