:nono: :bb:

Imagine indeed a baby Frus! :lol3: I think it'd be born with a cape ;) Maybe in a couple of years when 1) I have my black belt (so I can have some hope of controlling it!!!!! ;) ) and 2) I've run a marathon (so I can run away when I leave it with DH!!!)

So yeah, I'm feeling a lot better today!

I baked yesterday and only ate 2 cookies, the rest are either in DH's stomach or in his lunch, or in the cake tin for tonight! :D I'm proud of me! Then I baked healthy muffins, which I have brought to work. But I baked them last night and didn't touch them at all. I just baked them, sat them on the worktop, then put them away until today. Man am I on fire! I'm acting a bit too NORMAL for me! It's like the twighlight zone in our house at the moment! :lol3:

I skived kickboxing last night because I was feeling poo, which is a good thing since my arch nemesis was teaching the class! My instructor has a trapped nerve in his neck! Ooooowie!

Mum and Dad are coming tonight. Mum and I are going to watch the ballet at the Royal Opera House. :D

lpgoad 03-09-2007 07:14 AM

Thanks I found it, hey I lost 3.5 this week and I was good. Got gs cookies yesterday and didn't touch them, put them right in the freezer. It says I can have 4 cookies and it would be 3 points for ww, but who can eat just 4? not me!!

I think you have to go back and change the numbers in the original tracker, but I'm not sure I don't use a tracker...

Whittlin 03-09-2007 09:01 AM

To change tracker,

while logged in, go into UserCP, then Edit Signature. Scrolling down you'll see a preview of what your tracker looks like now. Just under that the window in which you can make changes, with html. Within all those words, near the end, are three 3-digit numbers. The last one is your current weight, so you just need to change it to your new current weight and voila!

Hmmm - lpgoad, I notice that your tracker as it appears now seems to have only 2 numbers. You need to set 3, separated by /s. Mine says, " /170/140/148/ " (for my start, goal, current). It may only accept whole numbers - not half-pounds.

srmb60 03-09-2007 09:32 AM

Good Morning, my friends. And a good morning it is. I feel very optimistic this morning .. as if I'm on a roll here.
:wizard: Catch my good mood everyone!:wizard:

3fcuser1058250 03-09-2007 10:25 AM

Catching the mood Susan :D ...

It's a very nice day here a bit on the cold side but it's promissing to warm up... I've already been at the gym and now am getting ready to shower and go to work...

Last night I went out with my g/f and we had a great time eventhough we drank wayyyy tooo much wine

jenninca 03-09-2007 10:55 AM

I stayed on plan pretty well yesterday. Had lunch at the mall but only had a McDonald's Happy Meal, then did a couple of laps with the stroller afterward.

I am trying to decide what to do about tonight. I'm supposed to go out with a bunch of girlfriends to a hamburger restaurant. But I forgot that it's a Friday in Lent so no meat for me! I looked up their menu online and found that the only thing I can eat is a Caesar salad, which I had there once and it was drenched in dressing without the option of it being on the side. I would hate to not go, but the thought of blowing my calories on dressing while everyone around me eats their hamburgers (I LOVE their cheeseburgers!!!) is almost too much to handle.

Cindy

3fcuser1058250 03-09-2007 11:20 AM

Jenni -- If it were me I would go, hey how can we NOT go when it's a girl's night out! I would eat before going and have something to drink, not necessarily booze but just a soft drink or whatever your little heart desires, and enjoy the company of your girl friends. I can't believe a restaurant will not put the dressing on the side I would INSIST on it and complain to management if they didn't, but that's just me, I can be a bee with an itch sometimes

Well I just got a call that I don't have to go into work because it's not busy... So I'm debating whether I should do housework or something... I'm not sure, I'm suddenly bored ...

canadian mom 03-09-2007 11:24 AM

This may sound funny but if you ask them not to mix it then you could take the top leaves off and control your dressing a bit.

Ilene and I were posting at the same time ha ha I like her idea if they want your business they shopuld do it your way most restaurants will.

alinnell 03-09-2007 11:25 AM

Thanks for throwing me a happy Friday, Susan!

Yesterday was pretty much on plan (except for the wine) but calories came in just a tad over 1200, so I'm happy. My weight is just 1 pound over ticker weight and I plan on a very light food day today. DD works tonight so I can fix fish for dinner! Gonna have to look for a good recipe.

jennica~you can always ask for the Caesar salad with the dressing on the side. That way, you can be assured it is fresh, too! Then just dip your fork in the dressing to get a taste of it rather than let it completely smother your salad.

lpgoad~glad you found us!

frus~how many years has it taken you to get your current (brown, isn't it) belt? I'm figuring my DS will take at least 4.5 or 5 years to go from white to black belt. He's red now and he'll have to stay there for a minimum of 6 months before he moves up to red/black and that belt is a minimum of 9 months training. Brown and red are interchangeable for his Karate (brown for adults, red for kids). The dojo had two girls get black belt this month--they are the very first to get a black belt since DS started there 2 1/2 years ago.

Jane~I love to cook and I love to look at recipes, too. I don't particularly like grocery shopping. I try to go early so it isn't too crowded. Trader Joe's in the afternoon is a total zoo!

srmb60 03-09-2007 11:29 AM

Well girls ... some of you know that I like Ebay. Just lately, I've been collecting shoes and thought I'd get into tanks and camisoles to match. I got my first camisoles today. I ordered blue ones but got an olive bronze bustier as well! A bustier! I emailed and they told me to keep it. A bonus bustier!
Have you ever tried one on? Holy extruding barwench Batman!

alinnell 03-09-2007 11:41 AM

Too funny, Susan! A Bustier! I don't think I'd ever even look at one!

3fcuser1058250 03-09-2007 12:19 PM

:whoo: Susan .... SOOOO what are YOU doing this weekend? Need we ask ;)

srmb60 03-09-2007 12:30 PM

I'm not sure but I suddenly feel like serving ale in big frosty mugs.

alinnell 03-09-2007 12:54 PM

Oh, beer girl!!!!

srmb60 03-09-2007 01:00 PM

Today we're serving Coors lite or Corona.

lpgoad 03-09-2007 01:19 PM

Ok, somehow I ended up with text as my weight tracker instead of the picture. All I did was change the weight, I am so computer iliterate, help

clvquilts 03-09-2007 01:26 PM

Even though we're going dancing tonight, I decided in honor of wearing my first time ever low rise jeans, I'd go for a walk as well. DH came with me and as usual wanted to find an 'off road' way to go. So we climbed over cut down branches covered in the melting snow under the high tension power lines that run through our development.

I'm getting used to the feel of these low risers. (I never wore hip huggers when they were in style during the 70's) Some of my shirts aren't long enough to tuck in, so I've got to keep at the crunches to try to flatten down the last tummy bulge!

Only half-kidding, at 46, I don't think I should be walking around with my stomach hanging out like the teenagers do. Time to get some longer shirts.

artmaker 03-09-2007 01:32 PM

lpgoad, I checked mine and I think you are missing the end [/url]. Put that in and see if it works.

Hi all, just a quick check in. Has been a busy week....a few bad days but am back on track again. It seems to be that when I go to bed too late, the next day is a disaster. Tiredness seems to = binging....espec carb cravings in the form of bread/pretzels/etc. So, knowing that....I am going to try to resist staying up late and be sensible about starting any projects too late in the day.

Had a good lower body workout today, and my eating, following the Sonoma Diet Cookbook, has been generally on target. Have been holding at the weight from last week's loss, in spite of my inconsistency....hope I can drop another by weekend's end.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Susan F.

lpgoad 03-09-2007 06:23 PM

Thanks, but unfortunately it didn't I even tried starting over and doing a new one and it wouldn't change

lpgoad 03-09-2007 06:36 PM

OMG, Finally I had to delete everything and put it all back in, I think I will wait until I lose 10 more pounds then attempt to change it again! Hope everyone had a nice day, the weather is warming up! I'm getting spring fever

Cats tongue 03-09-2007 07:05 PM

Hey everyone.

Just had to come and say I lost another inch today.

lpgoad 03-09-2007 07:31 PM

Thats wonderful cats tongue, keep going! I never measured myself that way I just went by weight, maybe I should

spanky 03-09-2007 09:14 PM

Hi,

I'm out here, still on track with the BFL program I'm doing. 5 successful days so far of workouts, but the eating isn't exactly under control yet...

Onward!
Spanky

3fcuser1058250 03-09-2007 11:20 PM

:bravo: cats tongue on the measurements....I find measurments and pictures a much better gauge to weight loss...

Doughnut 03-10-2007 04:48 AM

Morning all you featherweights  I hope that wherever you are in the world it's as gorgeous a day as it is here in little old Brum (Birmingham). Not so little actually, England's second city. Right well I've mainly got household chores to do today but it's so gorgeous that after I've finished my huge mug of tea I'm off to pound the pavments. Er, that would be walking not running.

I don't know why but today I feel really happy and positive so I think I'll just put in my favourite smilie for the sheer **** of it. :moo: Means absolutely nothing but I like her.

srmb60 03-10-2007 07:57 AM

:wizard: Good morning!

I'm going to second Ilene ... we really need to have several ways to gauge our progress ... especially when we only have a small way to go. The scale can be a fickle friend.

canadian mom 03-10-2007 08:25 AM

congrats cats tongue!!!!!!!!!!

I perfer messurements. When my scale was not moving my clothes were getting too big and when I mwssured I had lost over an inch aound my wist alone! I tell my hubby I would stay this weight if my inches would keep droppping I would rather be 137 and fit then 137 and flabby. Right now I need to consult a plastic surgeon to see how much on me is flab and how much is excess skin but nit sure if we can afford it right now. i know we cannot afford the procedure so it would just get my hopes up but on the other hand if most of it is skin then I know i am pretty much there just need to save money.

srmb60 03-10-2007 10:29 AM

Oh dear! The calories in diner breakfast! But how could I resist if DH asked me to go? ;)
Now I'm screwing down cement board for floor tile. I guess that'll even out.
S-t-r-e-t-c-h! What a crunched up job!

You should post in the Why I'm Smiling Thread!

Glad you're having such a good day!!! :)

Spanky~WTG on the BFL!

Catstongue~WTG on the loss!

I'm down to 140!!! I ate SOOOOO OP yesterday! As long as I keep at it this weekend, I'll see the 130's by Monday!!!

Everyone have a wonderful day!!!

clvquilts 03-10-2007 12:59 PM

Today I did 5 REAL pushups! Plus 20 girly pushups. I'm feeling stronger.

Last night's West Coast Swing dance party was so much fun. I've been taking lessons once a week for 2 months now and go to the dance parties 1-2 times a month. I'm really beginning to feel like I'm dancing rather than just counting out steps.

We also took a Hustle class last night, but it was too complicated for us to get through all the movements. We might go dancing again tonight. Not sure if the balls of my feet would like that...

Cats Tongue Wow, you've got great curve measurements. Congrats on the lost inch. I'm figuring I've lost six from my waist, but it's just a guess. Maybe I can try on my fat pants and measure the slack???

lpgoad 03-10-2007 02:56 PM

Well I officially had a 4 pound weight loss this week. I am so happy!! WW points are really working

hikerchick 03-10-2007 08:01 PM

Happy weekend.

Push ups rock!

Had a groovy run today which perked my drooping spirits. My legs are now officially sore.

Having an emotional week. Sick family, growing children and hormones. But I am hanging in there. Exercise has been a great focus for me. It gives me somewhere to put my energy. Thought about buying clothes today and bought a really cool yoga mat instead. I figure I might as well wait until I am a little closer to goal.

I am definately smaller than I was when I started my last pregnancy. Now I just have to rewind to the time before my son was born. That will put me at 155.

I suppose that is my next mini goal. Think I can do it my summer?

Congrats on all your losses both in inches and pounds!

Clytemnestra 03-11-2007 03:37 AM

Hi all,

It's a beautiful morning here. Hope it stays nice so I can go for a long walk with the dog. Did a medium one yesterday, but managed to persuade DD(14) to come with me, so it was good exercise for her too; and more importantly an opportunity to talk to her: mother/daughter time. Then I took her to see "Music and Lyrics" in the evening, which was fun (she's working really hard for exams so it's nice to arrange little treats).

Have a great day, all.

srmb60 03-11-2007 08:46 AM

Good morning! It's lovely and sunshining here this morning too.

I'm not feeling particularly optimistic today. I'm not sure why. I had a junk food blow out yesterday but that doesn't usually set me back much mentally.
I have to go to church ... so that's a nice walk and some happy company. My parents are coming for coffee ... so that's uncontrolled calories ;)

Maybe it's just because it morning. I'll have something to eat and see if that picks me up.

Have you all started thinking about next week?

clvquilts 03-11-2007 04:33 PM

Just got back from my 4-mile bike ride and am feeling healthy. It was warm enough to go out with just a sweater. The ground hog was right - we're having an early spring this year. It's suppose to be in the high 60's all week. That will make sticking to my daily activities easier.

I'm beginning to feel results from my daily floor exercises. My muscles are feeling firm and more toned. And I didn't feel like killing myself over my saddlebags when I saw them in the 3 way mirrors when I shopped for jeans this week. I doubt they'll ever be completely gone. I've had them since early high school when I weighed only 107 lbs!

Plus, I've always had stretch marks on my upper, outer thighs. I used to hate standing around in my swim team suit at meets, feeling like everyone could see them. My pediatrician said to put cream on them to minimize the scarring - like that ever worked!

Now I wear two pieced swim suits with skirts - there's no bikini's in this girl's future. I have a very small waist, but want to de-emphasis my thighs which are wider than my hips. I'm definitely a pear shapped woman.

What's your favorite trick for hiding your figure flaw?

alinnell 03-11-2007 04:35 PM

I have my dinner menus all picked out for the week. Breakfasts and lunches will be determined daily from my usual list.

Then I turned the page on the calendar. Looks like 2 nights of eating out--Wednesday prior to DD's concert and then I told DH to make reservations for Friday night. No dinner Thursday, though, so it should even out a bit.

I'm down half a pound and am trying to stay OP today to keep it off.

DD and I are off to wash our cars. Might come back and bathe the dogs--it is supposed to be about 93 degrees today!

lpgoad 03-11-2007 05:25 PM

Had a very bust day today! went up the street to help my daughter in law out with my grandbaby, she had a major migraine. I ended up deep cleaning their apartment for 3 hours then I came home and did my house, so I'm pooped! Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday

greatchoice 03-11-2007 07:46 PM

Good afternoon everyone. I've been so busy the last few days working & sleeping I haven't been in much. I'll try to go back and read everyone's news.

Friday my son had a great tennis match at his school and then I barely had time to go home & sleep 4 hours before work. When I got off Saturday morning I drove home & then my son dropped me off in the Old Town area of our town where they were having a "classic" car show & my husband had a car down there. My son dropped me off about 1 mile away and I walked in since they close off some of the streets & the traffic is horendous. That was good though because I got some walking in. I went home again after that and got another 5 hours of sleep before work last night.

It was fun working last night for time change. It was great to be sitting at work at 2 am and then suddenly it was 3 am:carrot: :carrot: . A co-worker and I stopped at Costco on our way home. I came home and walked on my treadmill & then my husband and I went out to eat with some friends. It's almost 5 pm now and I DON'T have to work tonight so I'll be fading soon!

It is gorgeous here today. It was 96 degrees at one point. I'm sure it's hot out there where you are Allison. There are fires burning west of here in Orange, CA :( Hope they get them under control quickly.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'll talk to you later. Jane
