Happy New Year all!

We always have blackeyed peas and cornbread for New Year's day. It's traditional! This year I'm cooking the peas and turnip greens with leftover Christmas ham. Yum!

Hey girs!! Happy New Year and thank goodness it's a new one... I haven't been too good eating and exercise wise so I'm glad to get back to the routine...

This week I'm still off work so I just have to take care of myself and get to the gym a few times... I have run daily in the last 3 days and that has felt superb!!

Check in everyone!!

Hey all! Long time no see! I've never been so busy in my whole life as I was over christmas break. I'm usually on my laptop for hours a day (as a university student) but I think I went on the computer for about an hour over three weeks! Eek. Happy New Year everyone!

I'm doin ok - I'm tucking into a cranberry and orange protein muffin as I type (must get to some proper work soon....).

I lost a whole pound in December, then we went to stay with the inlaws... they held me down and force-fed me chocolate and white bread and pizza I'm not looking till Saturday!

Anyway, I'm doing well yesterday and today (so far - it's 9am!!!). The 1st was a bit of a bust since we spent all flamin day on the boring slow train home, but I didn't do too badly since we didn't have too much food with us!

Yesterday I got organised, went shopping, did batch baking/cooking etc so it's mainly good

Happy New Year!

The holidays weren't too bad for me. The hotel where I stayed over Christmas had a fitness center, so I worked out each morning I was there. On Christmas Day, I weighed myself and was back in the 120's. I'm still hovering between 127-130 at the moment, but I feel my routine settling in and I'm not feeling too bad.

It's funny how the gym gets so crowded in January and then gradually thins out during the year; right now I'm timing my workouts to miss the rush. I actually did join my gym in January of last year, but I'm one of the fortunate ones who still goes regularly! Anyway, here's to another year of progress and getting those last few pounds off (and keeping them off)!

I gained about 5 pounds over the holidays, but I've already lost a couple of them. Today I went out to eat with friends and had wine with dinner, but that's been my only high-calorie meal since the new year. I did a lot of writing in my journal about goals and one of my resolutions is to write something everyday. I hope that will keep me motivated. That and a good kick in the butt from you guys if I fall off the wagon!

I am in Alabama and thoroughly enjoying myself! It has been glorious here. There never has been a day (since Dec 28th when we arrived) that I couldn't sit outside in shirt sleeves. I didn't bring shorts ... duh!
I an eating way to much and unwisely but we've been busy with yard work and animal chores. I guess the scale at home will tell the tale.
I check in almost everyday but am not setting a very good example so I keep quiet
Be good gals!

Glad you're enjoying a vacation, Susan. Our weather isn't too different from Alabama, except that they usually get more rain than we do. Have your hosts told you it's a warm winter? It's definitely that way here.

It looks like I finally landed a job. I'll be starting on Monday, so you might see less of me around here. Come to think of it, I hope everybody sees less of me. I didn't change my ticker to reflect my holiday weight gain, but I'm losing the fruitcake and eggnog and hope to be back to even soon.

THERE you are!

I didn't realise you were on holiday! I must've missed that post! Have a lovely time, and remember those calories REALLY aren't worth it. I'm realising that AGAIN after 4lbs gain over xmas.

I'm doing well, had great lifting days, had great eating days, have some good things planned for tomorrow, and on Sunday it's my birthday and I'm going to eat cake for breakfast! Yes really!
