Default Question on beans Phase II

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew if refried beans were allowed in phase II?

Hi, I am sure if you made them yourself that would be ok. Most of the pre-made beans are loaded with a lot of artifical ingredients as well as fat. I know most Mexican restaurants make them w/ lard or bacon grease. I am sure you could substitute nonfat yogurt or tofu. Lem

I used fat free refried beans on Phase II. 100 calories per half cup, no fat. Old El Paso ff refried beans only have pinto beans, water, salt, onion powder, chili pepper, spice & garlic powder. Definitely an OK food for Phase II.
