Default new to site

Hello all!!
I am new to this site and plan to start The Fat Smash plan tomorrow. My goal is to loose 37 lbs. I will need lots of support because I work a day/night schedule and DRINK LARGE AMOUNTS of coffee. Oh and lets not forget the upcoming holidays. Any phase 1 advice to keep me motivated?
Wish me luck, and I will keep you all posted.

Hello to both of you and welcome!! You will get plenty of support, don't worry! The first time I was on detox I felt really sluggish on the 2nd and 3rd days so just get over that hump and you will do great. I promise you, your body will feel great not putting all that crap in it and it will be worth the first few days of not feeling so good. I am back on P1 myself (I started back Monday) so let me know if you need anything. Lem

Welcome to FS! My diet downfall is candy & salty snacks - I'm a binge eater & would prefer the junk to normal foods. However, this candyholic (Halloween is my favorite holiday), hasn't touched one piece of candy that we still have sitting around the house & I don't have any urges to.

I am not hungry and haven't felt like this since doing low carb 7-8 yrs. ago. I couldn't sustain lc as an eating plan for life. I think this is the plan I will actually be able to maintain on.

Stick with us for support and ask questions. A tip is to be prepared with allowed foods for quick eating and ingredients for making any recipes that you might be interested in.

Default One down 8 days left in P1

Jadestar-
How was day one for you? My first day was not as bad as I thought it would be considering the whole no caffeine thing. NO HEADACHES I had herbal tea instead.

Question for all that are ending or done with P1. Can I add a little honey to my tea? Please let me know.

Thanks

Hi Msbigbones

My first day was okay I was a little hard but I made it through without cheating. Today is good I just feel so much better and lighter. I am so happy that you did not get headache. I love herbal tea 1 pack of sweet and low and it is great I love green tea.

Thank you everyone for you support I am new to this site so I find it hard to learn how to post and talk with everyone. Any suggestions on how to use this website. Yahoo Health groups has a great Fat Smashers Forum with great advice and recipes just like this one I use both.

You both can do it! hang in there , cause it realy works. Stay focused
and do what you need to do , to have what you want. If you are having
headach , hang in there. They will go away. Take care and wish both
of you sucess.

Hi All,
Okay I am now ending day 3 and my head hurts . But I have not fallen off the wagon. Just finding it hard to eat 4-5 times a day.
I am having a hard time at work with temptation. All of the sudden it seems to be LETS BRING HOMEMADE COOKIES TO WORK DAY!! Oh, and lets bring all of the leftover HALLOWEEN candy while we're at it!!! ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! I have not been on a diet before and I never realized just how much WILL POWER it takes to just so no.
Okay I'm done venting now...... I hope every one had a good FS day.

I think on another board Dr. Ian said if you must you can have protein powder but I can't remember if it's during Phase II or later since it does have additives. If I can find it I'll edit this post.

OK, I read his answer (almost a non-answer). He says to be careful as protein powders are untested so you should be careful. If you decide to use them you need to make sure it's a reputable company and that it's a healthy protein.

Keep in mind, you should only have up to 2 tablespoons of Splenda a day on Phase I and you'd have to consider whatever the protein powder has as going towards that amount.
