Linda~ I saw BL last night. It was pretty intense. I couldn't believe how downright mean the teams were to the new people. They were acting so childish. That Kai and that Heather really get on my nerves! Bobby looked so good at the end of the show! It was so sweet when he went home to his family. I just cried and cried. lol. I was so happy for him.

Gotta get breakfast for Joshua and I. Talk to you all later.

Keep Smashing!
Sherry

I did too, I was happy for Bobby, but I wanted Heather to go home, I don't like her or Kai..They were downright rude to the new people last night, they may have not got picked from the start, but they've worked their tails off, and I felt they deserved to come back.

I put cinnamon on top. It is like granola. Dh eats his cooked in the micro with water. He puts cinnamon on top.

We are supposed to eat plain yogurt. You can mix in a little fruit if you want.

You can boil the veggies... but don't cook them to death. They should be slightly crunchy when done.

I use regular brown rice. Not instant. It is supposed to have more nutritional benefit than the instant. But, it takes 45 mins to cook.

Most of this info is from a combo of the book and the yahoo fat smash group which Dr. Ian is a member of.

Good Luck,
Sherry

I sure wish Dr Ian had put more info in his book, some people don't have access to a computer to look at the web site..I didn't know we were supposed to eat whole oats, the book just says Oatmeal, and Yogurt FF or lowfat, it doesn't say plain in the book, oh well, live and learn. Thanks for the info.

LOL, I've been working out for quite awhile now, so doing an hour isn't hard for me, and let me tell you when I was first starting at 246 pounds, I couldn't do much, my hips were so bad, I could hardly walk to the end of my driveway and back without hurting, and I too have bum knees, but the more I worked out the better they got, I still don't overdue it with my hips or knees, but I've learned to work with it. Since loosing the weight, my hips don't hurt at all anymore, I guess my doctor was right, it was my weight causing the problem, I tore something in my right knee about 6 months ago, and it hasn't healed all the way yet, so I take it easy with lunges and such...I love my gazelle and Ab lounge, the gazelle is very low impact, so pain in my hips or knee, and the Ab Lounge, is awesome...I do a lot of workout DVD's, right now my favorite one is the Biggest Loser DVD, it has several routines on it, and are GREAT workouts.

Hi Ladean, I have a question about your gazelle. I have been looking for a exercise machine but I always thought the gazelle wouldn't give you a good cardio workout. Do you sweat a lot when you are on it? And does it tone your muscles as well?

I love my gazelle, and YES you sweat a lot, it's a great head to toe workout, and the intensity depends on YOU, you can go slow or fast, I go pretty fast now, for at least 30 min sometimes more..Linda also has one, and I think she feels the same as me about it.

I had a meltdown!!!!

Fellow Fat Smashers, Not only did I fall off the wagon, I jumped!!!! Yesterday I ate soooooo off plan, it was insane. I have been fighting this cold for about a week, till yesterday, I had to leave work early. Instead of me going home and eating on Plan, I stopped at Publix, went to the Deli section and bought me some chicken fingers and ate that along with some Honey Mustard dressing for dipping, for Lunch. That is not all. While out with boyfriend (who is not on Plan) I ordered 1/2 lb double meat hamburger with large fries and a large Strawberry soda. BF tried to talk me out of it but the devil  was on my sholder just egging me on. I felt so bad. Then this morning for Breakfast I had a McDonalds Sausage Egg McMuffin. What is wrong with me I think I lost my mind:tantrum: ! I am mentally getting myself back in track. I woke up at 3:30 this morning and worked out to my Striptease DVD :belly: and will try to workout again today when I get home.

Lem, Judy, Selkie, Bouncy: The Carmen Electra striptease workout isn't great cardio I would say. I didn't break a sweat. I think its good for if you want an easy & quick workout. However I must say my legs are still very sore. And it probably helps with your flexibility.

To the rest of my Fellow Fat Smashers. You guys are so motivating. And I am glad to see ourt little FS family is expanding. :grouphug:

With the 3 day weekend coming up, I have to be strong :dust: and say NO to the junk Food. Had a good lunch today. Had brown rice with black beans and fat free sour cream and my allotted cheese portion. It was good and filling.
I hope to squeeze in another workout today but will be getting home late and with this cold I am fighting all I feel like doing is sleeping.

Well keep on Smashing!!!

Fashion Nelle - sometimes we just have to jump off the wagon. I did it on Sunday too and I felt miserable all day afterwards! Just detox for a few days and you probably won't gain. Thats why I decided to go back to detox for another 9 days instead of going to P2. I am going to weigh in tomorrow just to see how I am doing (I don't think I have 1 lb since I started round 2 of detox on Mon) but we shall see. I have been bloated all week so I am not expecting any miracles but if I stay the same or lose a lb, I will be happy after all that garbage I ate :) Thanks for letting me know about the strip tease video. I am glad I didn't buy it cause I need a really good intense cardio dvd that doesn't cost too much. Good luck to you & keep that devil off your shoulder! Lem

Fashion NelleI know exactly how you feel. Although I have not started the FS diet I have done this with other diets. I do really good for a while but then I fall and I fall fast and strong. But what I like that I hear about this diet is that if you fall you can get back on by doing the P1 all over again or for a few days. So, don't give up and keep going.

IlostIT4ever 11-09-2006 03:51 PM

Well all fall off from time to time, what is impostant is getting back on and keep going..A binge is normal.

wanna be skinny chic 11-09-2006 06:52 PM

Thanks!

You are all so wonderful!! Today was a better day at work! And today is my weekly weigh in time! I'm down two more pounds!!!!:D
And I was able to wear pants today that just last week I could not wear! I'm loving this!
I have exercised everyday for nine days in a row. Thinking about making it twice a day w/aerobic in the morning and toning at night. Is that to much? I'm really want to see the change in my clothes size! Especially seems we have a company Holiday Party Dec. 9th. We just become part of OmniSource this year so this will be the first time I've meet any of the people outside our division and if I can get my weight down and under control I know I will be more confident and out going! My goal is 10 lbs by December 7th! I know I can do that!

Also checked out 3 fat chicks on a diet today! can't wait to get reading it!

Go look at my picture! Because everyday there is less and less of me! ;)
