Good Morning,
I am feeling a bit under the weather this morning. I can't seem to shake these chills. I woke up freezing and I can't warm up. The furnace is going full blast, too. BRR! Linda~ Thanks for the motivational post! You are an inspiration, as always. Glad you are back! I do think that I will make my goals. I feel like nothing can stop me. lol. It helps so much that DH is determined to lose, too. He keeps me going when I think I can't do it anymore. Have a great day! Sherry |
Bouncy! Welcome back!! I have missed your enthusiasm! :) Good to see you!
Shea, I hope you feel better very quickly! :( Today is my weigh day.. in spite of my great evening with my friends on Tuesday I was able to lose 1.8 more pounds! Phew! So, my total loss is 23.4 pounds. I am at 201.6... So close to the ones but not yet there. :) Have a great weekend all! |
Hi everyone,
Well today is day #6 and I love it!! I did peek at the scale and I have lost 3.5 lbs. I have a couple of questions even this far into the week. I have a bad habit of over thinking things. Say when it says 4 egg whites can they be spread out? Or have to eat them at one meal? The yogurt says two times a day. Also the boca meats which I always loved, are not on the list but I notice people eating them. I know they are made of soy and veggies but there are a lot extra stuff going into making them to sell. Thanks Cindy |
Happy face

:bravo: :flow1: you are doing fantstic!! Girfriend you have it going on!! almost breaking that 200 mark!! and after that down !!b down!! Iam so happy for you!! Is this weight loss since you started with the fat smashers???????? how long?????????????Girl Iam so excited , you would think i did it!! ha!! but iam going to lose 20 lbs by xmas !! i thought it was 21 but 20 Keep it up girl you are amazing yourself!! Have any complements yet? If not they are blind. or jealous!! ha!! ha!! see you later. Iam off to mop my floor !! |
Hi Cindy~
The foods listed are the DAILY limits. So you can spread the egg whites, yogurt, brown rice, skim or soy milk and other limited foods out to go with as many meals as you want...as long as you don't go over the daily limits. Does that make sense?? lol. I say things a lot better than I write them. :) As far as the Boca... I know that others have eaten them and lost weight. I haven't eaten them. I haven't been able to find them in any of the grocery stores in my small town. I am making it without them, though. Detox is about avoiding preservatives and artificial flavorings. You can still lose weight if you eat foods that have added preservatives, etc... but you may not lose as fast and you won't get the total DETOX results. Some of the members of this group have "tweeked" the diet a bit so that it fits their lifestyle. It almost killed me to give up my diet soda. But I did it for 9 days. The 10th day I went back to the diet soda...but caffeine free ones. Hope that helped. Sherry |
Hi Smashers! I had lots of reading to do. I sure have missed you all. I had a couple days off plan, but didnt do that bad. Im planning on starting Detox again on Monday. Im on plan now but since my weigh in is monday, I figured I would see what damage I did. I think what helped me was my portions.
I didnt over do it. Although I have not been exercising at all. I have been OP since Sept 5, 2006 and I have lost over 30 lbs so Im not going to stress about 2 meals off plan, Im back on the wagon!! Bouncy- Thanks for the enthusiastic post's :coach: :kickbutt: You got me on track again!!! |
Bouncy, you are the best! :) Yes, since Fat Smash... I was 225 when I started Fat Smash on Aug 31st. (this is day 45) In Phase 1 I lost 10 pounds. In Phase 2 I lost 10 more pounds and I am 1/2 way through phase 3 (2 weeks down, 2 to go) and I lost 3.4 pounds. I actually hope to lose more than that over the next 2 weeks. Now that I've enjoyed the new foods (a little too much enjoying) I will taper down and focus more on the veggies and less on the new stuff. I hope to lose 2 or 3 pounds this week so I can meet my October goal early and start working on my November goal. I have also stayed right on track with the recommended exercise (30 min in Phase 1, 35 in Phase 2, and 45 in Phase 3). I usually do it 6 times per week but some weeks were 5 times. That and the water, and eating every 3 or 4 hours it what I think is making the most difference in the weight loss. Yes, a few people have commented. I have been "here" twice in the past 3 years though and so these people have seen me like this. In another 5 pounds it will be new territory and I will feel more confident that it is for real this time. Anyway, too much explaining, I know... but thanks for all the enthusiasm! :)
Hi Cindy, I would have written the same exact thing as Sherry did ... :) The detox is not just a good weight loss time but also to cleanse the body so to speak. So not all of the recommedations are about weight loss. You have to decide what is best for you. I need firm limits and I wanted to be as pure to the program as possible to experience the full benefits. (until day 41, but we're over that now. :)) Good luck! :) |
Shoe8230 , happyface and anybody that I missed.
Thanks for your response on my questions. I have been on W.W. for a couple of years and its hard to change. But this is what I needed to shake things up after putting on a few pounds. The fat smash is so close to the Core program on W.W. The fat smash program is more limited on the amounts of food except the fruits and veggies than Core. I needed to step back and find my (comfort zone) as they say on Weight Watchers. Thanks !Cindy |
Hi everyone! Just popping in to let you know I'm still on plan, yesterday was not good because I wasn't allowed to eat ANYTHING but I had some homemade applesauce before bedtime and I cheated and had a cup of tea:o Well deserved I think after having my teeth yanked out of my head! LOL!
Today I'm totally on plan but I'm not sure what I'm having for dinner yet, a little mushy this and a little mushy that I guess! LOL! have a great evening all! |
I am glad we are an active bunch on these boards, but darn I don't check for a day and bam there's so much to catch up on! I guess I'll just have to check every day :D . Well I haven't been exactly OP. I can't swallow food right now (or keep much of anything down) so I'm existing on broth and ginger ale and have been for the last couple of days. I will see the doctor on Tuesday and hopefully he can fix this sick. At least I'm not eating off plan on purpose and at least it's not fat laden foods but I still feel awful about it. :( I have been getting in my water too so at least I have that. Well all it's back to bed for me just being up this little while has sent me into a coughing fit. I'll talk to ya'll later. Take care.

Hey everyone, just got caught up on your posts. I always love to hear everyone's good news. I'm day3 into the second phase. I took a cheat day right after my weigh in. I lost 8 pounds....I think....my daughter messed with the scale so now it reads 199 instead of 194. I think I'll find a good old fashion scale to use from now on.
I have added meat, cheese, and a whole egg to my diet now. I won't add any real sugar, juice, or cold cereals until I loose another 5 pounds. Oh, I started a kickboxing class....totally kicked my butt. It was really fun though and a welcome change. And I got 45 minutes of cardio :) I found a good calculator to figure out how many calories you need on a daily basis to maintain your current weight. Its handy so you know roughly what you should eat to loose. I will post the long version in a separate post. http://fitnessmagazine.com/fitness/m...0272109023.xml |
Winnipeg-hope you feel better soon!!!
tattoo-congrats on the eight (or more/less depending on the scale lol). I'm w/ you on the old fashioned scales, we have a digital and I HATE it. It gives me entirely different weights depending on where in my room I move it. I'm not talkin a slight difference either, it's like 2 pounds! I did well today. I had another Quorn cutlet, and so far, no negative effects. Fingers crossed! Menu: B-1/2 cup oatmeal w/ some raspberries S1-nectarine L-1 cup tofu/veg stirfry S2-raspberry and peach smoothie D-1/2 cup brown rice pilaf, 1 cup steamed green bean, and 1 Quorn cutlet. I nuked it first to thaw, then lightly seared in about a tsp of olive oil. After a slight crust on both sides I removed it from the pan and added 1/2 a shallot and 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms. Once they were soft I added 1 cup veggie broth and reduced to make a sauce. I added 1/4 tsp dried thyme (fresh would work too), then thickened the sauce w/ about a tsp of cornstarch added to 1/8 cup NF milk. Once the sauce thickened to a more gravy like consistency I added my cutlet back to the pan to warm it through. This sauce was totally yummy and on plan as well. It would also probably taste really good in phase 2 using real chicken and chicken stock. Everyone keep up the good work! |
