Patcutie, Wow, you have already lost a lot of weight! You are SO close to the ones! I hope to be there soon as well!!
Jenne, yeesh about the coworker! What are people thinking when they say some things? Way to handle it thought! Sherry, I agree about the water too! :) I feel smaller too today. I noticed it in the legs of my pants.. seemed quite loose. However, not sure if it is going to be a loss week for me or not given Tuesday's "fun." :) We'll see. Dweeb, the Chex idea sounds GREAT! Braydonsmom, WOOHOO! Congratulations!! :) Yes, it does! Timmyshawn, hope you feel better soon! :) Wide, when AF leaves you will probably feel much better and lighter! I hope so.. but yes, the closer you are the tougher those pounds are. But can't wait to get there! Melly, my dh always buys the candy early and LOTS Of it... so far it is tucked away where I don't see it in my daily travels... but Halloween will be a challenge! Have a Fantastic Friday everyone! :) |
It sounds like everyone is really doing pretty well. Even with the "slip ups". I didn't have time today to do the chex mix, but it will get done tomorrow. I haven't any errands to run.
I did make a great vege beef soup though. It was really tasty. I'll work on something legal and chocolate for you chocoholics. I love to create/modify dishes. Luckily I haven't had any sweet cravings since starting the Smash. And before then I couldn't stay away from the sweets. I did get on the scales again this am. Weight is down. DRINK MORE WATER!!!! |
Posting in as a slip up. A friend came in from Texas and I can't pass up free drinks. Cooking like a mad woman right now to start Phase 1 again. Will weigh in the morning. Hi all.

Hey patcutie4 perhaps try a pilates class or dvd. Its really low impact and will help you look a size smaller! It helps your posture a great deal. You can usually borrow workout dvds and vhs from public libraries.

Good Morning,
It is a cold day here in south central Kentucky. I love this weather. Sure puts a damper on walking, though. I made Italian stuffed bell peppers last night. Dh said that they were so good he hated to take the last bite. lol. Tonight is pinto beans and brown rice since dh has to work late. I put the beans in the crock pot and let them cook most of the day. Quick and easy. That is one of the things I like about FS. Most of the things I cook are pretty easy and very satisfying. eastbaykitten~ We all slip up. Glad you are back and dedicated to phase 1 again. tattoocherries~ I hadn't thought about checking them out from the library. DUH!! That is a good idea. Talk to you all later, Sherry P.S. I can't get my fit day to work. I had to paste the link in my siggie. Does anyone else have that problem? |
'Noon from a chilly DC!
I am wearing a new sweater today and stupid coworker said it showed off my loss. At least she's trying to make up for being an @ss! |
Hi I am new to this website but I love it!!!! I have gotten so much inspiration and answers to my questions about this diet here. THANK YOU! I ended Phase I on Tuesday with a loss of 8 lbs. Nervous about adding in the meat feel it will push me back. But so far it isn't a very large portion. My problem is I am not exercising enough. Also are their any suggestion for breakfast in Phase II.?

Hi everyone!
Day 5 and doing well. I have a question it says no juice on phase 1. My pineapple (canned) says pineapple and pineapple juice only. Can I have the juice part? I notice in the book for phase1 under breakfast recipes on the go it says 1c of fresh orange juice. Thanks!! Cindy |
Fit Day
My fitday is posted in my sig too. Mine doesn't work on the profile part either. I love it though. I can see how much I'm eating so i don't begin to have too much calories.

I've used fresh squeezed OJ (I bought it in Whole Foods) for that reason but use it sparingly (1 serving per 2 of us)...
|
it's been day one for me! it hasn't been much different than what my calorie counter diet was, minus the meat and bread. i find that i am starving though! i know i'm not getting enough cals during the day even though i am snacking. feeling kind of out of it b/c of the lack of protein during the day and i am exhausted. i have a bit of a headache, even though i don't drink much caffeine. i'll push on tomorrow!

gabrielbeth~ You can get protein by eating beans, tofu and egg whites. Be sure and eat every 3 to 4 hours. 5 to 6 times a day.

Was wondering if all would share how much you have lost on the program so far and how many weeks you have been on the plan. Thank all in advance have good night. Linda |
Hey Linda,
Good to see you back! I have a Thanksgiving goal of 199. I have been on the program for 5 weeks and I have lost 15 lbs. I lost 6 during phase 1. My weight loss has slowed down ( which is expected) but I am losing every week. I started out at 222 and I am now 207. I think that after Thanksgiving(assuming I meet my goal) I will set a Christmas goal of 190. What about a weigh in challenge? I weigh in on Wednesdays. Maybe we could just post our weight for the week on Mondays. Any more suggestions??? Sherry |
Hi everyone! I came here to confess to y'all that I slipped yesterday! I ate two slices of pizza (plain, but I added some leftover broccoli). My mom came home with it and for some reason I was starving (tho I had meals thru the day) and gave in to my laziness. As others have said, I sure paid for it! Not only did I feel just bloated and icky, but I was actually physically sick. Now I should tell you I have a condition where if I overeat (too much in one sitting) or eat really greasy fried foods I tend to vomit. Not good, but it certainly keeps me from overeating/eating fried foods often! However I have never once had this happen w/ pizza, and it wasn't any greasier than usual (plus I blotted as always). I can only assume my body has started to adapt where it can't really handle other "junk food" as well. I think this will def keep me motivated! I'm going to weigh in on Sunday, as planned, but may stay on Phase 1 a few days longer depending. Today I did really well. I tried a Quorn cutlet for dinner and found it to be very tasty! However, I am a bit nervous about hearing the possible after affects, but since I spent the $ on them before hearing this I figured I may as well try them before throwing them out! Hoping I don't get sick!!!
Menu: B- 1/2 cup oatmeal w/ raspberries S1-apple L-1 cup tofu and veggie stirfry w/ LOTS of ginger and garlic; 1/2 cup brown rice D-1/2 cup steamed green beans; 3/4 cup brown rice mixed with 1/2 cup shallot, celery and carrot that had been sweated in 1/2 tsp butter; 1 Quorn naked cutlet S2-smoothie w/ 1/2 cup NF milk, 1/2 cup NF vanilla yogurt, 1 nectarine, some ice Jenne-How mean of your coworker to start blabbing to the office! It is not her business, nor anyone elses! However, maybe your noticeable weight loss will inspire other people to switch over to a healthier way of life! Hope everyone else is staying on track and keeps up with the good work!! :) |
