Cool, looks like I found you thanks to Linda..I started another thread, but think I'll stay here with y'all, tomorrow is day 7 for me and I'm doing great so far, I sneaked a peak on the scale and I am down 5 pounds so far, I'm happy with that...Sounds like everyone is doing great..Keep up the good work.

Hi..I'm starting the Fat Smash Diet today. I'm wondering if anyone has some sample menus or recipes for Phase I Detox. I know these first 9 days r going to be really hard for me. I drive buses so my schedule is a mess but i'm determine to smash the fat. This seems like a really good support group and I'm looking forward to reaching my goal with the support of this community. Can anyone also tell me how to put the little weight loss thing on here to show my progress....Any help is appreciated. DAY 1...HERE I COME!!!:goodluck: :dust: :goodluck:

Man that went by fast, I thought you were only 1 day behind me, oh well, today is day 7 for me, and I am really loving this..Dear old Aunt Flo decided to come for her visit so not feeling so hot this morning, but I WILL NOT let it get me down..You are doing so well hun, you should be very proud of yourself.

Good luck. I think Phase 1 was easier than I expected it to be. Today i'm on day 8 and I haven't been hungry once! No coffee ACK, no diet coke ACK, and I still feel great!! My favorite meal has been the stir fry with veggies...YUMMY!!!

Hi everyone. Day 8 here and feeling great!!! I'm going for another walk today with my kids.. Again, it won't be fast, but it'll be a walk!
Still no craving for coffee, diet coke or chocolate. What's up with that??? I'm going to finish this week on detox to make a total of 11 days. Then I'll start phase II.

Today's plan:
B : oatmeal 1/2 apple
S: yogurt smoothie
L: brown rice with veggies
S: 1/2 apple and 1/2 banana
D: big salad

Thanks sllamey...I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes...how do u feel after almost being finish with the detox? More energy? taste buds changing? I'm open to any input? I'm wary About the lentils, chickpeas, and tofu because i've never tried any of these..If anyone has any kind of recipes using these ingredients, i would greatly appreciate it.

I'm feeling great. I really can't believe that I haven't craved my usual things (diet coke, coffee, chocolate). I usually eat about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours which helps. The first few days of detox I had......a lot of bathroom issues. :o After that, all systems go! :carrot:
As for the food, the lentil recipe in the book was a bit dry for me, so I added a bit of balsamic vinegar. The chickpeas are good, especially on salads. I am not a tofu fan, so have not had any! I definitely have had more fruits and veggies in the last 8 days than I've had in a month. ACK!!! I'm a fast food junkie, so it's been a change, but a really good one! I'm dying to get on the scale. My goal was 5 pounds! We'll see tomorrow! I'm doing a few extra days on phase I because this weekend, we have 3 kid's birthday parties to go to. :dizzy: I'm going to take it one party at a time! I told my husband last night that I am really going to try and continue to live without Diet Coke and Coffee!

Oh ok,well I started phase 1 last Tuesday so it's day 7 for me, I never drank diet drinks so I didn't have any problems there, and same with coffee except for every once in awhile, but not since starting this..My only complaint is I wish the book explained things a little better, like yogurt, it just says lowfat yogurt, I normally eat fat free, not low fat, so I don't know which I should eat, and can we have the kind that is fruit flavored or plain? I've been eating the fruit flavored. He says to eat beans, but how much..The only things they he says certain amounts on is rice and oatmeal..Oh well, I guess all we can do is our best right?

Day 8 for me. I was in a rush to get off to work this morning and I left all my food on the counter at home:( So I am a little off plan right now but will get right back on tonight for dinner. Sounds like everyone is doing ok with the new eating habits.

Suzanne, did you make the rice pasta? and what brand name is it?

Hi all! I'm on day 6 of the Fat Smash Diet. It has been going well so far.
I'm not missing meat just coffee! I found this website and am so glad that I can come here for support. I'm hypo thyroid and even with medication I've been struggling to loose 10 pounds I gained last year. I hope this diet works. If it does I will be one happy girl!

Question: How can I get one of those weight trackers that I'm seeing on so many of the links?

Hi everybody!
I got the book today and plan on starting in the morning. the only thing I am not looking forward to is how my body will react to caffein withdrawel. I usually drink 4 or 5 diet cokes a day and I'm afraid I will get a massive headache. but, if I can get past the 9 day detox period, I plan to give them up for good.
