Weekly/Daily Check-In
Hello everyone, its been kinda of quiet around here. I hope everyone is doing well and staying focused. If your still hanging in there which I know you are me know. We have to motivate one another or should I say you all have to keep me motivated. Your thoughts and progress inspire me. Hi All,
I hope it's ok to jump right in. I'm a newbie and on day 9 of phase 1. I'm nervous about the weigh-in tomorrow, but hoping for the best! |
Hello MissVee...how did your weekend go? Mine was fine, i was very tired all weekend so i only exercised on saturday...15mins of steps (while carrying furniture...and there was lk 25 steps) and then 30 mins of swimming (didnt know 4 kids could keep a girl so active lol) yesterday was bad...i slept in til 12 and then basically only ate the essential meals all day...then i spent most of the day doing my final exam for my online math course up until 12am...so didnt get to workout like i wanted!:( will get on track this week...want to see at least 6lbs gone by the weekend...i hope! i still maintaining at 190 though...so im happy with that!

down 3 pds only after phase 1-- i think i will just modify my diet until i receive my book to make sure i did the phase correctly-- i ate what i wanted yesterday out of pity for myself but feel better today and realize that is how i gained all this weight by eating out of emotion-- it wasn't even that good! Anyhow, i'm down and i'm eating healthier and that is the bottom line--

Good morning grls! Today was my weigh in for week one of phase 2...I'm happy to say that i'm down to 189.1. That's a 5.8 lbs difference in 2 weeks and 2 days. All though it's not as high of numbers as i would like to see, im happy to say i am at least not gaining weight. I'm going to amp up the workouts and see if i cant lose another 3-5lbs in the next week!

My way of looking at it is any loss is a good loss and holding your own works too! All we can do is to keep doing our very best. Enjoy the success. |
I am on day 4 of cycle 1 and have noticed a difference in the fit of my jeans already! I am planning on repeating all the rotations until I hit my goal. It was exremely difficult the first two days but it seems to be getting easier.

Hello ladies congrats to everyone! GoalDown I weighed this morning and I did not lose a pound and I did not gain any pounds. I just looked at the scale in awe but its going to be ok. I went to a social gathering last night and I received so many compliments. That made me feel really good! I tried to act as if I could not tell that I lost weight deep down inside I was filled with joy. I'm going to up my workouts so maybe next week will be different. If not I am going back to phase 1. Anywoo you all have a wonderful night.

Well girls...weighed myself this morning just because the scale was there when i was taking a shower, and well....im down another 3.4 pounds!!! I'm so excited! I never thought that I could lose this much weigh this quickly.
On a side note, why is family so discouraging against losing weight? My older sister is like jealous that i am losing weight. everytime i tell her that i am down so and so pounds she's like "oh well im still eating what im eating and im down 3 lbs" yet everyone else in my family is excited and can tell im losing weight. i think she's jealous...she always have been!! DAMN older sisters! |
For me I think the most discouraging people are at work. Since I have started this particular diet I have been getting a lot of flac. This is mostly due to the fact that I opt out to partake in festivites. I have remained discipline and the foods that they eat are just not for me right now (no healthy foods) just junk. Goaldown my sister has decided to jump aboard. Maybe your sister will change her mind to who knows! Its very hard for my sister to compliment me also but it doesn't matter. She is the oldest also and she has never had a weight problem until now (go figure). This is really the only diet that I have truly stuck with and I actually like it! My sister could not believe the results now she is gong ho about doing it and my bestfriend to! Have a good night!

Wonderful Day
Good morning everyone! I went to the gym this morning. Once I got home I took my shower and could not resist stepping on that scale. I was sacred to see what it would say considering the fact that when I weighed in Wednesday 8/1 I did not lose a pound. Well I was jumping for joy I am now down 4lbs! I got on and off that scale at least 5 times just to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on me. I hope everyone is doing well and don't get sidetracked from the weekend temptations. I'm glad everyone here shares their successes - it is truly inspiring! Like MissVee, work is more difficult than home. I work for a company that makes organic coffee,tea, chocolate (ugh! really good high end chocolate!) and snacks. Everyone is always offering food. Yesterday it was pizza, donut holes, chocolate bars, and pecans! I held my ground, but it was really hard! Just hearing that other people have held strong makes me feel stronger. Thanks! ;) |

It's been a while since I have checked in. I am a week and 2 days into my modified phase 1 and I weighed in this morning and found out I lost another 4 lbs..Oh yea go me. I'm sooo happy. I love this. Congrats to Dreamdancer MissVee, Goaldown50 how are you guys doing? |
Hi everybody! I am on day 3 of Phase 1 and am feeling so great. It's amazing because I feel like I am eating all of the time. The first day on Phase 1 was pretty rough - tired, lethargic, headache - but day two was already better. It's amazing how much I miss my morning coffee! My biggest challenge is drinking enough water each day, but that's already becoming easier. I've never had a diet just *click* for me before. I'm looking forward to my first weigh-in next week and am going to be good and not step on the scale before!

I really like it, I never feel hungry and I've lost more weight in 9 days than I did in the last 6 months! Now I'm off to move the box of pastries (UGH!:mad:) someone put right next to my desk. I have been reading the post in this forum for several weeks. Congrats on everyone's success!
I am doing EFS. I ran into the bookstore with the kids bought the book and left quickly within reading to see that I should not be using this diet for the amount of weight I need to lose. Rather then go buy the FS book, I decided not to make an excuse an delay starting. I will probably finish at least one more roatation with EFS and then switch to FS. I am on Day 5 of Cycle 3. I lost 8 lbs between cycles 1 and 2. :D |
Hey Fierliss...i thought that you might have fell off the wagon! Everything is going good...hopped on the scale again this morning (i kno i kno, i shouldnt) and i lost another .5 lbs! Pretty exciting...that puts me at 186.1 and a whole 8.8 lbs in a matter of 2 weeks and 4 days!! Only 41.1lbs to go...i cant wait to be thinner...the jeans and clothes are starting to look fabulous on me!

Hey feirliss I was starting to wonder what happen to you girl. Glad to hear that you have dropped more pounds also. Goaldown please hide that scale. When next week get here your not going to have anything to be excited.lol..... like I can really talk.....I only waited 2 more days after I weighed in. Dreamdancer I am glad you resisted the temptation. Ladies we are on our way. I can see myself now. Don't you just love it!!!

Well I just finished the 3rd cycle and didn't have much luck. I kinda been stuck at the same weight since the 1st cycle, what have you ladies been doing to get your self off the plateau b/c i am at a lost and don't know what to do

So i was so excited yesterday! I went shopping for new school clothes (yes already...only 21 days til i go back...booo!) and i went to old navy...well there was this really cute courdory skirt and a pair of cute army pants...well i grabbed both in a 16 and headed back to the dressing room...to my surprise....they were WAY to big for me! it was so exciting to go out to my fiance and say hunny can you grab me a 14 in both of these! he said "a 14!" i was soo soo ecstatic! cant wait to weigh in on wednesday and see some results!
in other news...this weekend was a little rough...on friday my fiance and i went out to spend sometime with a friend of mine, and because we couldnt figure out anything to do...we went to a diner...where i got an omelette (made with egg beaters, ham and cheese) and fried potatoes and wheat bread (i only ate one slice with no butter) i more than made up for it sat. moring when i had to help my fiance's aunt move and carry heavy furniture up and down 2 flights of steps! UGH! but then i went to the crab feast...did good except eating a slice of cake! But there i made up for it by dancing...doing the fun linedances! Besides that ive been pretty good! Need to step up the work outs and i think the weigh in on wednesday will be good! |
Hi everyone! The weekend was rough for me as well. I slipped up big time on Saturday and then Sunday I kept to the diet but was too tired to do any cardio. I was contemplating cutting down the cardio this week but decided against it. I have to get into this size 6 bridesmaid dress for a wedding that is 3 weeks away!

Phase 2 check-in
Hi All,
I just finished my first week of Phase 2 and only lost 2.5 pounds. Not as much as I wanted, but then I tried on a pair of jeans I could not put 2 weeks ago and they fit!!:carrot: I'm wearing them now! I think I have to make some eating adjustments this week and I should have more weight loss success. |
Hello all! I am glad to hear that everyone is still holding on. I slipped up this weekend as well. Saturday morning I fixed me a small pancake, 1 scrambled egg, and 3 piceces of thin bacon. It was so gooddddddd, I savored every bite. Today I am back on track and have sensed then worked off those calories. I slipped up what can I say! There is One thing that I can say, the weight is steadily coming off. I just love it! Nobody is perfect however the scale will tell all.

I honestly dont think that a small slip like that will affect your weight loss for this week. Slow and steady wins the race!

So I'm in bad spirit today...I stepped on the scale and I'm up 3.4lbs! But I'm not changing my ticker because I want to keep looking at that 186.1 and know that I can get there again! For a couple days...maybe even a week, I'm going back to Phase I! I'm going camping this weekend so I know I will be very active because I'm going with my fiance's family, who play on a softball team, and they want to get a game going! So I'll continue to stay active, and eat only items on Phase I and hopefully I will see some weight loss next Wednesday!
In other news, I worked out to Harvey's "fighting fit, fighting fat" dvd last night and instead of doing circuit 1, i decided to do circuit 2 along with the warm up and cool down...let me tell you it has made a difference in my body...my calves, thighs, and arms are all sore from working out. I guess that's a good thing! Well back to eating good, and let's hope for better weight loss next week.... Fierliss, MissVee....how'd you guys do? Any better then me? |
How is everyone doing today? I am trying my hardest to not weigh until the weekend. Today is cycle 2 day 3 and there is tons of food today (compared to the last few days!). I am actually stuffed already and I still have 2 meals to go.
I am trying to vary my cardio since I am getting bored with running on the treadmill. My goal is to do 45 minutes on the elliptical/treadmill daily and then a one hour aerobics class 5 times a week. I need to get this weight off so I can look decent in my new bathing suit! |
I'm on day 8 of Phase 1 and still holding strong! I had to eat a veggie sandwich for lunch on Monday (because my work doesn't have a can opener for my veggie soup!) and then couldn't resist one of my Mom's snickerdoodle cookies. But I only had one and that's a huge accomplishment for me! I think I'm going to stay on Phase 1 for an additional day and flip to Phase 2 on Saturday.
Anybody who is bored with their workouts, I use Leslie Sansone tapes. She does Walk Away the Pounds and has a TON of different varieties of miles and workouts. I do her walk/kickboxing one as well as an accelerated 2 mile tape. It's an awesome workout that you can do at home! I've bought all my tapes on www.amazon.com. Today I have 70 minutes of water aerobics to look forward to! |
Hello everyone! I weighed in the morning and my weight is still the same. No pounds lost and no pounds gained. I am going to increase my workouts. These pounds are going to come off. I am going to weigh myself again Friday. I have been in full force mode this week so I might be surprised. Goaldown thats probably just water weight, that will be gone in no time. I don't know why our bodies fluctuate so much! Do you all think its too soon to begin working with weights? My upper body is to flabby. I am now embarking upon the 3 week of phase 2.

MissVee, that's what i am hoping! I really do not want to gain any more weight! I felt disappointed when I hopped on the scale and saw a gain. But if i think about it...i wasnt supposed to weigh in last thursday and friday (but i did) so according to wed. weigh in i was 189.1...so it's only a .4lbs gain...lol!
I didn't work out lass night! It was too damn hot! It was stil 80 some degrees at like 10 last night! I wanted to die! I bought an exercise ball....i think im gonna get that out and use it! LOL! |

Just checking in to see how everyones doing. I went to a baseball game yesterday and ate things I probably shouldn't have:devil: I did finish week 2 of phase 2 with a three pound loss, so I'm happy with that. I go to the doctor on Thursday, lets hope the cholesterol is good! |
I just finished Phase 1 on Friday and weighed in Saturday morning ... to a 7.5 pound lost! What a great way to motivate me through the next stages! I was starting to think I had only lost a few pounds because my clothes weren't really fitting that much looser. But then I remembered that it takes a good 15-20 pounds for me to move down a size. That part is a huge bummer, but I'm thrilled with the results so far!!

Good Morning girls! So i decided because of this weekend (i went horribley off diet), im going to do phase 1 for 9 days again and then go back to phase 2! Good news though was i didn't lose or gain anything...i maintain...but i would def. like to see more weight loss. Thursday will be a month since i've been on this diet and really havent seen any HUGE numbers! So let's hope i can shock my body and get some of this weight off!! I got 9 mnths until my sister's wedding and i wanna look smoking hot!!

Goaldown, you are not alone. I went completely off my diet this weekend as well. I didn't gain any weight either. I treated myself Sat/Sun, I deserved it. I have decided to do a modified Phase 1 again also. Hopefully the numbers will start to go down. The good thing about this diet is that you can start again and its not difficult at all. I just jumped right back into the swing of things Monday. Even though I went a little haywire over the weekend I still worked out so that helped out tremendously. Keep you gals posted!

Just checking in to see how everybody else is doing, me i'm doing pretty well I guess. I just finish another phase and I'm down 3 pounds, so that is pretty good for me. So far that is a total of about 11-12 pounds, so i'm just going to keep on trucking
