THANKS SO MUCH! YOUR PRAYERS WORKED!!THANKS SO MUCH! YOUR PRAYERS WORKED!!THANKS SO MUCH! YOUR PRAYERS WORKED!!

You gals are the BEST! I feel so MUCH better thanks to JESUS and my chickies on here!

Mitchypoo - Don't apologize, hon! I thought it was HYSTERICAL! I just didn't realize 2 days after the fall that I would hurt so bad! But I'm giving it one day and tomorrow I'm getting back up on the BEAST!! Congrats on your walk! I really think that walking is better for you than anything, but with twin 9 year old girls, an 8 year old and 7 year old boy, it just doesn't happen! LOL! They should be able to walk with me, but you talk about anxiety! LOL! Glad the date with Barry worked out!

Hi GARy - I'm Lori from Illinois and I'm new here - have TONS to lose but with God's help and support here I WILL do it!

WILMA - THANKS for the prayers! They worked!!

Have a GREAT day everyone!

Lori in IL
Getting back on the BEAST tomorrow! LOL! :ebike:

mnewton2 07-11-2005 01:24 PM

Gary Gary Gary!!!

How good to hear from you!! I am praying for you and Angie. I can only imagine how much you are missing your kids. :( I know it has to be hard for you. Well, you keep your head up and enjoy your time in WA!!

Lori - I am happy to hear that you are feeling better!! That's right you show that "BEAST" who's boss!! Your perserverance is to be admired. Dont give up!! You are doing great!! :smug:

Wilma - Congratulations on your weight loss!! Way to Go!! Keep up the good work, it is definitely paying off! :cb:

Michelle - Your date with Barry went well. That is wonderful. It is always nice to have the first date be at church where he can meet your FATHER. ;)

klynntx - Welcome, you have joined a great group. :cloud9: Look forward to seeing your posts and getting to know you. I am actually one who is extremely addicted to the scale. If I could I would weigh in 2 times a day. But my DH saw how much it controlled my emotions so he hides it from me and takes it out for me every Monday morning. I really thank God for him. He keeps me straight! ;)

Well, will post again later. See ya!

Myisha

luflic 07-11-2005 01:54 PM

Hey I am new to all this stuff, but looking for some buddies to keep me accountable.
I have recently joined WW and I am in this for the long haul. I pray.

Mitchypoo 07-11-2005 02:14 PM

Luflic, welcome! There are others on WW here i think, can't name them, can't remember, but i'm pretty sure some of us are. I did WW a couple years ago when they did points. It was a good plan for about 28 lbs. and then i stopped losing. That was just my experience with it. I do think it's healthy and well-balanced. I am now doing LA Weightloss which i like a lot, but i've struggled this last month to get back on plan. That's going to end. I may go in tonight and WI, haven't gone since Memorial Day! :o Please come back often!

Myisha~how is that sweet baby Channon doing home?

mnewton2 07-11-2005 05:27 PM

Michelle - She is doing great!! She is sleeping and eating up a storm. :) My SIL cant keep up with her. My husband, kids and I went over there on Friday and my brother looked so happy. He kinda looked like he was about to cry. :( I felt his heart. The baby was so funny because I walked in the bedroom and she was laying on the bed (my brother just finished feeding her) she was looking around and then when she saw me walking over to her she just started cooing and kicking!! She was so happy to see me and I was so happy to see her!! We were both cheezin!! :D She is laughing and squealing out loud now and it is like sweet music to my ears!! :smug: :cloud9: She has staples in her head to help with a speedy healing and it is definitely working. She looks wonderful!! Thank you so much for your prayers for her and my family, they are working!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

From Washington

HI GALS

It is so good to be back talking to all of you! Angie and I had to take Reba to the vet today, she got a foxtail in her paw a few days ago and needed to be removed. Didn't really want to take her to the vet of course, but the one we chose seemed to be like a very great place...so having that with us in the new state sure helps...we took both Reba and Rylee in (they always go together). The vet was impressed that we had all their shots and paperwork records with us...easy for them.

Today is my daughter's birthday, 22! WOW! and she is my baby!!!...but then I still have 17 yr old step-d Lara and nephew Ron 14...plus the girls...the furry ones!! Reminds me, last year at this time we were in Virginia for her birthday.

I miss my CALIFORNIA...but the weather here has been pretty good...we will be back soon to California...until next summer...we may come up here and check on the house from time to time...that is if we FIND the $$$$ to!

MICHELE Of course you are one of my girls!! One of my originials!! We saw War of the Worlds and liked it also...I agree with what you said about Tom and Dakota (my daughter's favorite)...the review we read said the movie would have been fine without Tom and Timothy...any good actors would do...I agree after seeing the movie...but without Dakota...well, it wouldn't have been as goood! I see you might have anew guy...good for you!

The house is new, we already had colors picked, tile, cabinets, etc. Angie is doing a little decorating but since we are just here for a month or so until next year not to much. We don't want to leave too much in the house with no one here. We do hav a new couch and chair though...willl send pictures when we are off dial up.

LORI Did you see my that my mom, grandma and sis are in Bloomington? Anywhere near you?

WILMA Great to hear from you! My daughter is looking at a school for her grad work in Ontario...close to your area? She is looking at several, the one in Canada really has what she wants...pediatric kineisiology exercise something.. something...but I dunno, so far away. How the wedding plans going?

MYISHA Hey neighbor...yea, I really miss my kids...new houses are pretty empty with out kids! Even my son's friends are calling me  They just want me to stock the fridge with food and beer/sodas though  Africa soon, right? How is the new job going? There seems to be a lot of youth trouble in this area...we always had it in California though...sad...guess it is everywhere!

Have the nephew active with Vacation Bible School already with our new church....trying to keep his focus right. He is helping out with the younger kids.

Well, have to run...taking nephew to an activity with some kids he met at church...gotta run...

HI TO EVERYONE!!!

EZMONEY 07-11-2005 07:18 PM

WILMA--I forgot, Angie and I just bought the NOTEBOOK DVD used but have not seen it...my daughter loved it and the book! We also got used The Aviator...good... and National Treasure...rotten, I thought anyway.

wilma12 07-11-2005 10:26 PM

Gary: You'll love The Notebook. Even DH shed a few tears! I also liked National Treasure - a little cheesy but I thought it was entertaining.

Which city in Ontario is your daughter considering going to? We live an hour from the Ontario's western boarder but Toronto is a 2 day drive. Ontario is a beautiful province.

Wedding plans are coming along. They have to finalize some things for the ceremony and figure out decorations, etc. I've been told to back off with my questions so I'm leaving them alone. I guess I just want it to be perfect and they are very relaxed in their planning and I get frustrated at that. It is their wedding so I have to be respectful of that also. So tough minding my own business!!

It's so good to have you back.

BTW, where's our Sunny. It's not the same without her here.

Have a good night.

mom2fivesweeties 07-11-2005 11:02 PM

HI EVERYONE!

GARY - I think Bloomington is at least 3 hours from us - we are right on the Mississippi River just southeast of St. Louis. We can drive to the Gateway Arch in 15 minutes.

MYISHA - Thanks for your kind words about my attempting the BEAST again! My dh says tomorrow I can get back on it! YAYYYYYYYY!! I don't know the particulars about Channon, but I'm very happy for you that she is home and sounds like doing GREAT! :-)

WELCOME Klynntx and Luflic!!! We will all do this together! I have around 130 pounds to lose but with God's help and these great people, WE CAN ALL DO THIS!!!

Have a GREAT evening!
Lori in IL

mnewton2 07-12-2005 01:57 PM

Good Morning!!

Gary - Yes, Africa is just around the corner. I will be leaving on Monday and arriving in Africa on Tuesday. I am not so sure about that long flight though. I am not very good being on a plane for 3 hours, so I dont know how I am going to do for 16!! We leave here at noon and arrive in Amsterdam around 7pm then we leave at 8pm and arrive in Africa around 9 hours later, but still in the evening(time change). I love my job!! I get along well with the kids and the environment is very upbeat. My co-wokers and boss are really easy going and fun to work with. I like them because they have a positive outlook on how to help the kids and keep them motivated instead of being hard and unwilling to really see them succeed. On my first day of work we went to the high school graduation of some of the kids that went through our program and was able to make enough credits to graduate. You should have seen the case workers and how proud they were. Some even started to cry. They really have a heart for the kids and I love it. I also love the diversity among the staff. There are 3 Cambodians, 3 Caucasians, 2 African Americans, 1 Latino and 2 Fillipinos. It is such a diverse group so the kids feel like they also have someone that they can talk to that can also relate.

Lori - You are welcome!! You can do it!!

Well gotta go. My son is on his way up to spend the day at the center with me. Will check in again later!!

Mitchypoo 07-12-2005 02:01 PM

Lori, I love your enthusiasm! Maybe you'll rub off on me... :o

Good Afternoon CER's!!!
I got a note from Michele today tellin' me that I am missed here... how sweet! :grouphug: Thank-you!! ;) I too have missed all of you as well - I just didn't know where to begin after being gone so long. This has really become a very busy thread - and that is WONDERFUL to see  but not easy yo keep up with...

to all those I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet!! I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you. It seems that I have missed much by not stopping in more often... :bubbles: I see Allie (Beautiful gal I might add - luv your pic in your profile!), Tricia (just turned 40... you are in the best years of your life sweetz! Well... next to 50  I am not far from there right now... and I'm not even scared... much ;) Enjoy Kings Island!! Joe & I haven't been there in years...), Lori (5 children... my BIL & SIL have 5 boys - 31 to 22 - that I helped to raise, you have your hands FULL! Good effort on your bike :cp: So glad that you are okay now.), Connie/teacher56 (35yrs married! Awesome! Joe & I just celebrated 30 ourselves), Klynntx (I want to write Kleenex for some odd reason  Belated Birthday wishes to you :hb: ), Lufic (do come back again) & Jayne (how are you doing with those soda's ;) )... I hope I haven't missed anyone new! :flow1:

All is well with Joe & I, we just have had allot going in our lives this summer. I cannot remember ever having a summer this busy since we quit doing *Tetelestai* (a performing arts ministry) years ago!! It's not that *busy* is bad, it's just that it makes the time FLY by, not to mention... I am pooped! :faint:  My latest endeavor is Mike's 50th B-day Party! I am (and will be) helping Peggy out with it till the 23rd (the day of the party). I have been very busy making scrapbook tri-fold posters with pics of Mike small and w/ his friends and family... for those who are new here - Mike & Peggy - are our best pals :) We have known one another for a bit almost 26 years and their daughters are like our daughters, I helped Peggy raise them being she works full time. Joe & I could not have children so we have a very special relationship with Sandy (25) & Lisa (21), Mike & Peggy.

This past weekend we had another Grad. party to go to on Friday and a Church picnic on Sunday - both wonderful!! We had a great time! This weekend we had TWO weddings to go to :dizzy: Then next weekend is Mike's 50th party! :D

*~*~*

Welcome BACK... Gary, This is one GAL who has really missed you!!! It is sooooooo GREAT to see you back!!! I am glad to hear that you are safe and sound... and that you are having lovely weather, but I KNEW you were going to have a problem leaving those kids!! They are the light of your life (after Angie, of coarse!) I am glad to hear that Amanda was able to pay a visit and hope that Ryan and Lara will follow soon. How's Angie handling the move? How's Reba?? I'm glad to hear that you have your pups with you , I wasn't sure if you had taken them or left them with Ryan. How's Ron doing with the move??

Heyyyy... I liked *National Treasure* :p And I am not a big Nick Cage fan either... but I thought it was good. Good to have you back! ;)

Bummer you don't have DSL there... I just got it and can't imagine going back to Dial-up again. I am spoiled now! I don't have your e-mail or I would have written you ;) Send it to me in a PM, please...

Hi Sami!!! I am so very sorry to hear that your DD had such a rough time with her delivery, but it sounds like both mom & baby are doing well today. As for your DM... my goodness! I am so relieved that she survived it (thank the Lord)!!! How scary that had to be for her... how much of her home burned?? And YOU!!! I am so very sorry to hear of your surgery, but have a idea of what you speak of - I had two surgeries like that (the second one they removed everything I had left)... that takes a long time to recover from - I hope that you are taking it easy Sami :grouphug: I am feelin' so bad that I wasn't here when you came back :(

And to boot you lost your sweet Pepper, I cried so hard reading your post!!! I am so very sorry  --- :grouphug: My folks sleep with all their pups too and my 2 kitties out of the 3 sleep with us - so YES, I do have an idea of your loss - I can't imagine!! Each time my kitties run for the door I freak... worried that one day they will get out. You are in my thoughts, my friend :grouphug: You sure have had a mixed bag of emotions lately!!!!
*My Love & Prayers are with you Sami*

Hi Wilma, I am here sweetie... I am so sorry I haven't been around, but even though I am not here posting I do keep YOU ALL in my daily prayers ;) I'm so sorry to read that you are feeling low... sounds like satin  is whispering in your ear ;) Gotta blow him off your shoulder with some prayer - it works every time :goodvibes *Prayers* for you my friend... feel better...

I have been a part of another Forum and they too hate it when I am gone long. It's where I get these lovely sigs made for everyone... Wilma, I have one for you too ;) I will send it via PM with directions soon, okay. Use it if you want to...

Joe had a great birthday - thank you very much - our dinner at the *Olive Garden* was fantastic! I'm glad we got there at 5:00pm cuz by 6:00 there wasn't a seat to be had!!! :hun: :T

:cp: Congrats on the 2 lbs lost!!! :cp:

Hi Michele, I am going back a ways in the posts... but am glad to know that Simba did okay with your trip. Don't you hate it when they get old! My Domino (kitty) is 9 1/2 now and I am beginning to see his aging too. How is your BLOG going? It seems to be helping ;)

I know about going yearly for mammograms - I have ever since I was 20 (after the accident) and my grandmother (mother's side) had breast cancer, so they watch me too. I wish that my grandmom's Dr's had the knowledge we have today - she would probably still be with us...

Wonderful to hear that you went out for a WALK!!! Good for you!!! Keep it going - it really helps you with the release of anxieties & tension too. I saw *War of the World's* too and really liked it!!! Steven S. did a good job sticking with the original story line and just adding to the visuals - it was very good!!! LUV little DAKOTA! I am glad to hear that you had such a good date with Barry...

I have another siggy for you ;) Look for a PM SOON with it, okay...

Hi Sue, I bet you have been loving the camping weather lately!!! It's been great here... I hope it's the same for you too.

So glad to hear that all your projects came out so well!! Like I doubted it for a moment ;) Also *Thank-you* for all the anniv. & birth. wishes... we had some good times celebrating... We LOVED the 4th of July weekend!! We had church in the morning but otherwise we had the whole 3 days to ourselves!!! It was WONDERFUL!! We played Scrabble in the evenings, walked in the park, worked in our gardens and played with our kitties out on the porch & even caught a couple movies--- it was just wonderful! We really needed that time together! One movie we saw was called *Racing Stripes* --- that was funny... a cute story about a Zebra who thought he was a racing horse... :^:

Awesome!!! I just read that you are leaving on the 15th!!! Boy, am I glad that I came back when I did... to think that by the 30th of July you will have your little niece here in the U.S.of A. I bet you are itching to get there and see her!!!! :flow2: I really enjoyed your *Jesus on the 4th of July* --- Thanx for posting it!! :goodvibes

*PRAYERS for Safety* :grouphug:

Hello Myisha!!! I see that you are down 4 lbs :cheer: yeah!!! Keep it going... you are awesome!

You are leaving for Africa real soon   I bet you are getting antsy now!! :smug: And I just couldn't be happier to hear that your little niece Channon is home from the hospital and back with her family and doing so well with her eating and health!!! :flow2: God Bless her little heart!! I really enjoyed looking at all the Beautiful pictures of she and her family!!! What a Beautiful family!!! May she continue to do well in her recovery.

As for being locked out of the forum... you should have written a note to one of the 3fatcks and they would have gotten you back in --- that has happened to me and it also wouldn't remember my password. So I just wrote to them and said *HELP!!!* Suzanne got me back in  It happened to me again when I was trying to give them my new e-mail address... :o It just should have updated but didn't. I think they still have a few bugs in here that they are trying to work out. I also write all my post first in my e-mail or in my notepad then do a copy and paste, so that when the site is misbehaving itself and I lose a post - now I don't freak out... I just come back here and do another copy and paste. It takes me too long to catch up to lose a post is very frustrating!!! I remember when I first began here - and would lose long post - I would cry!!! But not now, doing it this way.

Hi Teel, I do hope you are having a Marvelous time on your trip!!! Cannot wait for you to come back and tell us all about it!! Prayers for your safety :goodvibes

Hi Margie... oh good... I thought it was just an oversight, but wanted to be sure. Sometimes you never know how someone takes what is WRITTEN vs being said ;)

Oh... the *Christmas in July* theme is NO More... she just didn't have the time to put it all together... so we are just doing the *BIG 50* theme... *Nifty Fifty* In fact, Peggy just left - she dropped off 6 huge photo albums :dizzy: I'll be mighty busy putting together these tri-fold scrapbook posters!!!!

Still walking??? What am I asking... of coarse you are!!! I have in about 13 miles so far, not nearly what I would like to by this time - but I do what I can! A couple mornings this week I could only get in a mile and had to hurry back home to get Joe off to work and begin the day. I bet you are up there!

Hi Amanda, you are so very welcome for the info on IBS - I do hope that it helped you some... you are making a great first step with portion sizes - that's the biggest mistake we make today. Portion sizes in 2005 are 3 - 4 x more then they were in the 1930's, 40's & 50's. If we could get that back we would all do just fine w/o having to sacrifice our favorite treats, you know.

Amanda... are you sure you are not my sister  She is the same way about giving up if she doesn't see results within days of trying ;) Hang in there Kido... you will see it. Unfortunately it takes much more effort to take off the pounds then it did putting them on   I have been trying for a long time and it is coming off, but oh so slowly!! I think that if I want to see more come off I must increase my activities (such as wt-training)... but I have yet to start that. Right now I just walk each day -in the mornings- with my hubby... Nope... you are NOT alone with those *overwhelming* feelings - I too get them :faint: :tantrum: and have days when I want to give up. Thank goodness for this forum is all I haveta say! ;)

So glad to read that you are walking too!!! Awesome!! Don't worry about your tummy and thighs, it will slim down as you walk more... that's where I carry my wt. also... always have, even when I was thinner. I am just older now and the fat wants to settle in for the ride... I walk about 1.50 to 2.25 miles 6x a week with my hubby. And getting your water in too - Woo Hoo!!! - Keep up the great work Amanda --> losing almost 10 lbs!!! See... :grouphug: I wish you well on your Job Search!!! *Prayers*

Hi Karla, I am glad to hear that you back is feeling so much better... may you continue to heal up :^: Trailer? Do you mean Mobile Home - that aren't so Mobile anymore  Are you getting a new M-home put on land of yours? Wishing you the best in your endeaver.

Hello MKay, How have you been? Is that darn Kidney & Bladder Infection gone now!? Ouch!!!!! (((Mary))) How is hubby doing? Any better at all?! It's been hot here too - but you'll hear no complaining from me  I will take this over WINTER storms anytime!!

Hi Rachel, How is the college at St. Mary going for you? Prayers that all is going well for you there and that you are enjoying school. My best friends daughter just became a novice and is being sent to Ca at the end of July... she is excited and sad at the same time --- it's the first time ever leaving her family (& us!). She will do fine, but anything new can be scary. I told her that when you have the Lord in your Heart, any place is Home! For God is always with you and that is all you need... I held on to that thought & was comforted by it when I was only 18 and leaving home to go oversea's with my new hubby.

*~*~*

Okay... where are all our other MIA's???????? I'm bringing out my Romper Room Mirror
Where's Sherry, Sprout, Virginia, Janice, Lynn, Zoegirl, Christy, Andrea, Dina,
Azulfire, Jackay, Nancy, Jenni, Candy & Garsony...

Come by and pay a visit... let us know how you are :flow1:

(forgive me if I have left anyone out -
it surely was not my intention.)

HI GALS

WILMA Hey, talked to my daughter via e-mail today...she said the school she was looking at was McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario....but she said that it was probably tooooo far away from home for her to truly consider.

Be back...Angie needs computer for bills...we only have one in the new house so gotta share........

wilma12 07-12-2005 07:35 PM

Hi Gary! Hamilton is very close to Toronto and very far away from me! McMaster has a very good reputation. She wouldn't go wrong going there. My sister is about 2 hrs from there and loves the area.

Sunny: It's SOO GOOOD to have you back. I look forward to my "name". I'm curious as to what you've picked for me. Thanks!

Have a good night!
