Talking It's Monday. .

Hi, I'm back only for a few minutes before quitting time. I agree Mitchypoo, it sure has been quiet around here, especially with Sunny cutting back and EZ gone.

lateralus - I loved your China pics, went to the site and checked them out! They were all so clear. . . was that man cleaning a fish??? Don't sweat the 2# girl, just proves you had a good time, - they'll come back off.

EZ - So quiet without you. . . we miss you. . . hope all's well in Washington, hello to Angie too !!

SunnyD - No way girl could I be mad at you, remember you've been my walking inspiration all this time. I just read a few pages here and there and try to get out a reply, here and there, don't mean to 'miss' anyone. Congrats on 30 years for you & Joe. How did Joe's birthday go and the dinner at Olive Garden? Hope he enjoyed, sounded like a great time. Good to hear that his BP is also great. The walking has really helped Fred's too, his was high, something like 168/108 and now it's actually low, after just a month of walking! The Christmas in July birthday sounded interesting and I bet it's going to be a lot of fun. I always liked decorating for Christmas.

WELCOME katiesmom710/Chris - this is a good group, kinda quiet right now but when everyone's here you'll have a hard time keeping up! I see you have a 14 yo daughter, I have a 13 yo too, man does she keep me busy, and she's sitting here waiting on the computer. . . Keep us posted on what's going on.

Canadian Mickey/Amanda - WELCOME to you too. 15 to 20 lb by September is attainable, keep positive. I think we all feel like giving up, almost everyday! It's definitely a fight. Don't beat yourself up though when you've gotten off track, just remember there's nothing you can do about it, it's done and get back on track. Portion control is the key and one we all struggle with.

wkgirl/Karla - Congrats girl on the 6# loss! Clothes getting bigger on you too! YAHOO!!! Doesn't that make you feel so much better?? I understand the part about being hard to follow a diet when you're traveling, especially when you've got a long way to go and usually go through drive-thrus and not a sit-down and eat kinda place.

doitforme - did you get the church bathroom done? Lookin' good? Camp any this weekend? It's wayyyyy too hot here for anything that's not under the air conditioner!

mitchypoo - boots for 4.99! What a deal, I would have bought them even if they were lime green! (not my fav!) You beading looks great, I am so envious of all you 'crafty' girls out there, I can't do any of it. Used to crochet, back when I had some time and BC (before child!)

Better go, quittin' time and that's one time I don't like to miss. Prayers for a beautiful evening and I'll be back on tomorrow to chat a little more - Margie

June miles walked = 46.39
Total since 4.4.5 = 156.29

Well, I just got back from my interview, and it went ok. It's 30 hours at $10.75/hr, which is pretty good. So we'll see what happens. I should know by next Monday at the latest if I got it or not.

Well, I went to my parents tonight, and weighed myself, and was pleasently surprised, when I realized I have lost almost 10Lb's!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy! I wasn't really expecting that I lost anything.....but since I haven't weighed myself in over a month, I'm happy about the changes!

Default Good Morning!

Nothing much to report here. I've been sitting at my weight for a few weeks now and at least haven't gained. I am going to have to shake things up a bit to make it move again.

I too miss everyone's posting. I guess it'll be slow while everyone is outside enjoying the summer weather.

Karla: Sorry I cant give you advice on a pedometer. Mine came from a Special K box!! Can I ask where in northern Canada are you from? It's so nice to see a few fellow Canadians here. For a while it was only Sprout and myself.

CanadianMickey: What a great surprise for you to find out you'd lost that much. Way to go!! Glad to hear your interview went well. Ill pray you get the position if it's supposed to happen.

Hello to everyone else. Come back and post even if it's a little one. We miss you!!

Default Hi there!

Whew! It ishotter than hades, but no rain last couple days, area around home is still at flood stage (rivers ect). We are suppose toget a break from the heat soon, it is as humid as August. I need to drink more water, ankles are getting swollen from heat, and that would help.
Sunny- Happy anniversary, Happy Birthday to Joe as well, hope you enjoyed dinner at the Olive Garden. Their food is always good. Glad you were able to give blood, that is always a good thing. Glad mammeo came back good to, PTL. The church bathroom came out great, it looks so much fresher, we have our date with the consulate on 7/28 which is cool she will be officially adopted on her birthsday as that is on 7/28. We have a tentative date for leaving on 7/14.
Mitchy- nice stitch holders, pretty and efficient, way to go.
M-Kay- Congrats girl ! AWESOME JOB down 4 lbs! So glad to hear hubby is back to normal.
Myisha- Wow your a busy lady! Glad to hear channon is getting well, she is an angel, thanks for the link. I bet your son was very happy to be out of school early, my nephew would have been. He does good in school, but doesn't like being there at all.
Wilma- CONGRATS to you down from size 20 to 12, you have done awesome. prayers work continues to go well.
Sami- Welcome back honey, we have missed you, sorry to hear you have been in hospital. Prayers that test result comes back good. Prayers that mom's house will be repaired soon, PTL she was rescued out of the fire. When your feeling better come back and let us knopw how everything is going.
Margie b - The church bathroom come out nice, I put an ivy border around the top by the ceiling, and repainted the mirror which was all scratched, put some imitation flowers in a basket on the toilet back and hung a couple decorated baskets, and a sign grow where your planted. It came out nice. So much better than bare walls. I also added a decorated light switch cover, all stuff from the dollar store, love that store. Leaving for camp on Fri. will camp till Monday morning, then back to work for evening shift.

Will you be putting a new trailer on the land, or one you already have, did you say I can't remember. Hello to all!
This is a very quick post to check-in before I go on my fortnight's holiday to Edinburgh tomorrow. I am meeting up with Linus who has just moved house and I hope to meet up with another chick from the UK thread who lives about 20 minutes by train from Edinburgh. It will be so excellant to put faces to names at last!
My builder has just about finished so hopefully when I get back I shall be able to log on to the site far more regularly than of late and catch up with all your news..
Meanwhile everyone take care and God Bless!!

Hi All!

Amanda...Wow Wow Wow...I would LOVE to weigh in an be 10lbs lighter. Good For you!

I'm home from work today with a kidney infection not to mention it came from the neglected bladder infection. Won't be doing that again. My computer here is not as fast as my computer at work.

Michele...well, have you brought your stitch markers to the knit shop yet? I'm excited to KNOW they will sell. I'd love to see those green boots.

Sami...is that really you? It seems you have been gone for a bit. Glad you are back.

Margie...wow...you sure do walk alot.

Micky...I like the avatar too. DH says my words come across as whining...sometimes.

Well, it's in the 90s here lately and I think today upper 80s BUT...the skies are NOT blue with fluffy clouds, they are grey and it's humid...my kind of day. I think I will go do my First Place bible study outside today and since I'm home, I can go anytime. I like that.

Well, I'm really a dud and don't have too much goin on, just resting up that kidney.

Later All!

Default Hi!

I just wanted to pop in and say hi! I am doing great- off today! Yeah! Looks like it is going to rain, maybe would help the humidity, but we are all ready at a flood stage, so we really don't need the rain.
M-kay- rest and get better, kidney infections are quite painful pray your soon feeling better, belief me your not a whinner, but a winner. Your a great inspiration and motivator to the rest of uswith out even knowing it. You mention doing bible study and it reminds me that I have to finish catching up, I got alot of it done yesterday but need to do more today, so easy to get behind. doing program with daily bread where you read bible in a year, and gives you daily amount 3-4 chapters and daily devotions. Thanks for reminder.
Margie- Thanks for address, hope to send both a card and say thank you for serving and liberating Iraq. They are not only liberating Iraq, an honorable endeavor, but keeping us safer here at home, by fighting the war on terror.
We owe them a big thank you.
Mnewton- I hear ya, I just typed this out and it wouldn't save it so i printed it and am trying to save it again. Sounds like things are going better. PTL My nephew is at camp- conservation camp. Were they get a taste of what its like to be a conservation officer working with wild life and parks ect. He has wanted to be a Navy Seal, a very admirable profession, but one I hope he changes his mind about. As I pray for the families of several Navy seals that were shot down in a helicopter, in Iraq this morning. We of course will support no matter what his choice but since he still has a few years only 15 praying he chooses something safer.
Well off to lunch with do more bible catchup and lunch with old friend then prayer meeting tonight. I was right its raining again. Humidity feels alittle better. gotta run, have an awesome day. Hopefully this will post this time.

Good Morning everyone (it still is morning here anyway!!)

Margie B - Yes it does feel good to fit into my 'old clothes' I havent been this light in 3 years! Sounds like you know all about travelling long distances too!

Wilma-Hi! I live in Fort Nelson, BC, pretty close to the Yukon border--I lived in Whitehorse for 10 years and really miss it!
Doitforme- We will be putting an older trailer out on our land for now...in a couple years wed like to build our A frame and then use the trailer as a guest cabin for all the people we manage to end up 'living with' (itd be a few acres away from our house!)
Mkay-hope you get better soon! Im praying for your kidney
Hello to everyone else and those too busy to post at this crazy time of year!
Im now on day 41 of BFL..I know that God has been answering my prayers and giving me the willpower to do it... PTL..Im at my goal now of losing 20 lbs (since Xmas) so now i get to buy an MP3 player! Only 20 more lbs and the dh will take me ANYWHERE in the world for 2 weeks!! Im thinkin Scotland or Australia or?? still have some time to decide that I think.. I had a busy day yesterday..walked 14,000 steps yesterday...having 2 extra kids to care for has something to do with that I think!!
