http://p.webshots.com/ProThumbs/69/4...llpaper280.jpg Lithia Park in Autumn, Ashland, Oregon Good Morning CER's! I had a great jammie day yesterday and spent the morning chilling out with my Sunday Paper that I never got to read on Sunday... then finished up with some house cleaning chores. I really am enjoying the autumn colors outside as well as inside my home :) I forgot to tell you that on Sunday evening, when Joe got home @ around 7:30, there was this familiar sound... I ran outside with my camera and I was right! There were three HOT AIR BALLOONS just above our home!!! Awesome to see against the blue skies! I will post those pictures this morning just as soon as I get them off the camera and downsized for the forum. They are so beautiful to see!!! Made me feel the excitement of a kid :flow2: *~*~* Angie ~ Good to see you popping in... but how are you feeling? Doing okay? :^: Michele ~ I hope that you continue to feel better as each day passes... you were doing so well too - darn it all! Yes, it does sound like you have an infection, my best pal (Peggy) had gone on meds for her infection, but she is still hurting. She is going back to the Dr's today to see about more or stronger meds. There is a Saline Mist (cannot remember the brand right now) that you can buy in the drug store that may help you allot! No meds in it, just salt solution... this time of year it's easy to get dried out & be prone to infections. Oh, and make sure you drink plenty of water or decaf herb teas - they really do help too. I am having a cup of mint tea now - yum! :grouphug: *Feel better* *~*~* I really cannot wait till you all come back on a regular basis again! I really do miss you!!! *May God Bless Your Day!* Luvs, SunnyD <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
Good Morning!
I have just a minute to pop in and say "HI". It's been kind of busy around here. I was disappointed on Saturday when the cabinet guy didn't show up. I'll call him and find out if he forgot or got too busy. If he can't show up soon we do have other options. I guess I'm just impatient and want this done yesterday. We looked into doing ceramic countertops and kind of liked the idea. What do you think of them Gary? Are most people happy with them? It costs about 1/2 as much as arborite and looks lovely.
Eating wise I need a lot of improvement but I am trying to exercise-either walking or doing weights each morning. Now I know I need to change my dinner eating habits. I still go well with breakfast and lunch. It's just so much easier just to grab whatever after work instead of plan and eat a nutritious meal. I took out chicken for supper tonight so we'll see what comes of that. Have a super day!! Wish I had time to address everyone. |
Hi Sunny! What a beautiful pic. Can't wait to see the one's of the hot air balloons. I'd like to do that someday. I bet your house is beautifully decorated. You do everything so nice.
Angie, Marilyn, Wilma, glad you all popped in to let us know how you are doing. My back dr. yesterday wouldn't give me a prescription, he suggested i go see my family dr. (This is another reason i don't particularly care for traditional medicine) What a pain, more time off work, no appt. until over a week from now.....I'm just going to get better on my own and suffer through it. Thanks for the reminder Sunny, i'll start using my neti pot today. I should've done that at the beginning of all this... |
My Hot Air Balloon Pictures
Here are the pictures I promised... aren't they just too beautiful! These were going over our home!! All of the pictures are beautiful! I just love the fall!
|
Well Hello FrugalChick :D Thank you so much... glad you enjoyed them. It's nice to see you back! Hope you are having a good day! Hi Wilma ~ I see you popped in too :flow1: It is so nice to hear from you. Busy is good... too bad that the counter guy didn't show up  Wilma, if I may add my two cents worth on your counter tops... ceramic counter tops are beautiful (I have seen them in the homes my sis-in-law has done), but if anyone in your family is prone to dropping things on your counter tops I would rethink ceramic ~ it chips! Just a thought... *Luck* *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
Michele ~ What a drag that you cannot have meds... maybe the steam heat will help. Drink your decaf teas too ;) Glad you are enjoying the Fall pictures... I get them at Webshots.com. Some awesome pictures there. Hope you keep getting better!! :^: *~*~*~*~*~*~* |

Lovin Those Pics
Hi Everyone...
Well, Angie, good to see you are baaaaaack. How are you doing? Mitchy- Sorry about the pain and no meds. Maybe a jacuzzi would help. How's the cold? Sunny- Hey...lovin those pics. Your house is sooooo pretty. I don't decorate much. Bunna- Where in the heck are you? EZ- We need pics of the pups. Wilma- I begin every day good and by 3:00 I have sucked on so much chocolate, I hate myself. The craft show was VERYYYYYY SSSLLLOOOOWWW. Although it was slow, for selling 3 and 5$ items...Rachel and I split $180. Yeah!!!!!! Someone's camera has pics on it and I'm waiting for that someone to give the camera back to another someone so they can download them and then I can post them. Anyway... Sunday took a turn. DH "told" me that "I" keep things back and don't confront issues and just brush them aside. I said OK, here's a couple... "I want my charge card back and the $250 I floated you so you wouldn't have a bouncie...but in the meantime...I had one because you keep telling me you'll have the $$ and you always come up with an excuse. Well, do I have to tell you how that went over? He got VERY mad at me...didn't even go to church with me and we only started slightly talking this morning. I wonder if he sees why I don't bring anything up for discussion. It usually turns into him being mad at me. He did write me a check for $300 and told me "that's one less thing you can Bit#$ about now." Believe me, I didn't nag about the $$. I asked him about it a couple times throughout the week and there always seemed to be a reason why he didn't have it. I let it go until he told me that I brush things off and don't face things head on. UGH! I really doubt I will be sharing for a while. The extra $50 were for new tennis shoes. I went out immediately after work yesterday and bought a pair and they feel much better on my feet than the junky ones I had before. I did tell DH that I don't feel cared for. He never once asked to meet my friends at Shepherds and I've been going there since March. He doesn't ask me if I need help lugging "stuff" to my car in the morning of going to Shepherds for bingo (I usually and tons to bring). I also told him that my car has been rattling for how long now and he just keeps telling me "next week." It's always my hormones/moods that cause the problems. UGH!!! Tomorrow is my b-day and I hope is DOES NOT go like the anniversary did. If he'd give me 1/2 the attention that he gives the dog...all I hear is sweetheart this and sweetheart that...good girl this...good girl that...Last time I heard sweetheart? Hmph!!! Mitchy...don't rush anything with anyone! :dizzy: Well, now that I vented...and vented...and vented some more...I will apologize for it...but I'm keeping it posted. Dinner tonight with my sister and then to help Rachel at the apartment; cleaning, laundry. I know I shouldn't help her because she's a big girl and should do it herself. Ya know...maybe I'll call her and tell her I just can't help her. What should I do? Well all...thanks for the shoulders...I'll be baaaack! |
I'm doing well, thanks! But alas, I'm off to run even MORE errands. (You know, those of you who have two cars, get down on your knees and thank the Lord! LOL)
Have a good night, ya'll. |
Hi everyone!
WOW..those pics are beautiful! I am silly though because it would scare me to look up inside of a hot air balloon...weird huh? ;) |
Tuesday
HI GALS
Hey ladies...I have a few minutes, I already have dinner ready..burritos...and my son is taking a nap...the teaching credential program ran him ragged today, Ron is eating- getting ready to go to the park and play with friends and Angie is taking my step-d to soccer practice. My daughter just e-mailed me and is off to her internship, from school, with the NAVY. I will share a story about her later. I had the day off today...had a long day yesterday...didn't do much but catch up on some things around the garage and my truck, did a little grocery shopping...Angie and I just went to the produce store Sunday after church, we skipped the grocery store 'cause we didn't need much. I needed some things for a crock-pot stew I threw together this afternoon...turn the crock-pot on in the morning and we will have a nice polish kielbasa and chicken stew when we get home from work tomorrow. At least I HOPE it's nice..it is a new recipe for me. The puppies had to go to bed early last night as they were chewing everything in site (RYLEE) and chasing every sparkle and shadow (REBA)...aaahhh...I needed a break so off to bed early for them...they whined a little but then they were out! Ron tried to take Reba for a walk this afternoon without Rylee and it just didn't work out...Rylee just went nuts here in the house and Reba wouldn't walk for Ron without Rylee...I actually did take more pictures but I can't put them on the computer...Angie does it... and I always remember..WHEN SHE ISN'T HERE!! Angie got her "first" confirmation for a street fair space...for her journals...several thousand people attend this one..next month...we shall see! how well her journals sell....she is really coming along on her website...I am not so sure about it :sssh: but I am behind her 100%...I have told her many times as lomg as she believes in it I will back her...even if it means it costs us $$$$$...I am willing to be there to COLLECT so I better be willing to be there if we DON'T COLLECT!!! I am sooo proud of her...she is working really hard on this side business! SUNNYD Hey dear!! What great pictures!!! We have balloons in our area all the time...they are so cool...right after 911..because of the restrictions...a group decided to fly over our house a few times a week...WAY COOL!!!... but then they got back on their regular routine which is about 30 miles away :( Love the hibiscus pictures...an older gentleman I did a job for "raises?" them...his wife called me last year to come and see them before they were gone for the season...he is 90 yrs old and still working in his avocado grove!! Your pictures remind me that I need to climb up into storage in the garage and get down Angie's decorations!! well at least my RAIDERS looked good...and my DODGERS so far...I don't expect much if they make the play-offs though...pitching is a no/no for them right now! My daughter has been trying some of the IBS recipes and really enjoying them! WILMA Not too sure on counter top advice...I agree with Sunny on the ceramic chipping though! Cost is such a factor with kitchens..most of the houses I do are UPSCALE...way out of my range!! but they usually go with granite. I worked on a house yesterday that was recently remodeled...she used imitation marble counter tops and after only 2 months they were already stained!! ouch. Angie and I have counter top tiles from Mexico...stone...but the grout line we used is way too big...it sure looks good..like we wanted...but gets dirty easy!! and hard to (IMPOSSIBLE) to clean. All I can say is do your research!! The good stuff costs too much and the fake stuff has problems!! AAAHHH!!! what would MARTHA DO?? ;) MICHELE Hope you are feeling better! How is your mom doing with her shingles? Battered womens group going well? Training that is. MKAY Angie and I have seperate checkbooks...that way she doesn't get bogged down paying all the bills...she has it set up so my checks pay this and her pay checks pay that...but it is all "OUR" money!! We are on and each have access to each other's checkbook...my only problem is that I have to balance mine so if Angie doesn't record something when she has mine it can be a problem, come time to balance...she hasn't forgot in awhile though...and I just never use hers...never any money anyway...so she says ;). Good luck with DH...I remember when i went to counseling with my ex-wife...she was bringing up things 10 years old that I didn't know she disagreed with...such as property purchases etc...when I asked her "if when I asked you--you said you agreed why didn't you tell me you didn't really agree?" she didn't know. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :T :bravo: :hb: :cp: :cb:  :hat: :gift: :balloons: :sunny: :cheer: FRUGAL CHICK Welcome back. WELCOME KITTEN SPROUT, BUNNA, SHERRY, SAMI, SUE, and the rest of you come back when you can!! ....oops! you too ANGIE-WANGIE! Well gotta jam...Gary |
Mkay, don't apologize sweets.....it's ok to vent. I remember being married, i remember going around and around the same problems, creating new ones, like a snowball kind of. I know it can be frustrating but I just know that God has good things in store for you, and so i hope you have some comfort in the Lord. Turn to him, always.
Gary, Angie's side business sounds exciting! Way cool! I'd love to order one....send me details when able, k. Mom's shingles seem to be getting better, she's still in pain under her arm mainly. She says that every so often she gets this jolt of pain. She's so stubborn though, she won't go get the capsaicin pills or cream. I bet if the Dr. mentioned it, she'd get it.....And the BW training has been postponed again, i start on the 6th of October. I'm still really looking forward to it. I'm tired tonight and slightly crabby. I have a co-worker who for the last 2 days has turned into a real pain......i'm not sure how to handle it, but i'm trying to do that, handle it and not let it get to me. Oh, John called me at work today.....just to talk. He's going to Iowa for work on Thursday and away for the weekend at his parents house. So I won't see him. I'm tired of being confused about him, he seems interested but then not. So whatever. Sunny, thanks for the beautiful pics! Your house is so cute and cozy. Would you come do something with my place? ;) You know, since I changed service providers for email, my computer has not shut down once! |
Hello!
I'm almost off to bed and am not quite tired enough so I thought I'd visit you for a minute. I did pretty well today with my WOE. I wrote out a recipe for chicken parmesan and my sons worked together and made it. I think I might try that again sometime. They learn some cooking skills and I get dinner made for me. ;) :D They did a really good job too. I've taken a lasagna out of the freezer and we'll have that for tomorrow.
I called my cabinet guy and he'll probably meet with us tomorrow evening. I sure hope so. I'll ask his advice on countertops too. I agree about the chipping but cost is an issue. I definitely cannot afford granite. Michele: I am so sorry you're in pain again. You were doing so well. I wish I had some miracle cure to tell you about. Hang in there! Gary: Thanks for the advice. It's nice to hear from an expert! It sounds like those pups and your kids are keeping you busy and probably younger too. A nice busy household. I have one of those too and wish sometimes that I could have one evening to myself. I guess those days will come soon enough. Sunny: Great pics. We have balloons flying over our city all summer too. I love the peacefulness they depict. you really do decorate for fall. I guess I just don't have the energy to. I am looking forward to getting out my Christmas stuff though. mkay: :gift: :hat: :balloons: Happy Birthday! :balloons: :hb: I am so sorry you're going through such struggles in your marriage. God is with you and knows what you're going through. Well, my eyes are getting heavy and it's time to head off for bed. G'nite!! |
I am taking a risk, speaking in love...
MKay ~ *HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!* http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...D57/CAKE02.gif I sure do hope that you have a Beautiful Day to remember always... *~*~* I too am so very sorry to hear of your home problems with DH --- maybe you two need to take more time together not speaking of all the negative things and just having fun together, there are so many simple, fun things to do in life that gets lost among the *stuff* that we think needs to be done. Get to know one another again... many times there are problems that are deeper then just what is on the surface (loneliness, lack of laughter, lack of feeling love or giving it...) and it comes out in a better way when we aren't all defensive and thinking of our own needs. Joe & I have never had separate checking accts., even when I worked. We only had one account and still do. We enjoy the checking cards because we don't need our checkbook most of the time and we both have access to it without checks anytime we need... Joe is so good about putting the receipts on my desk as soon as he gets home, so that nothing is forgotten to deduct. It sure works for us ;) But all income is *ours* and we always talk about any major purchases and do it all together... that's half the fun! I sure do hope that you are able to work things through. Many think I don't know of what I speak because Joe & I have a good marriage, but I think quite the opposite --- we see many going through hard times and they look to us for help in our church, because we have a good marriage. And because we are on the outside looking in we are able to help, whereas... when you are in the midst of the pain you just cannot seem to see past it. MKay, since you know the Lord, take some time in prayer and ask our Lord to guide you with your feelings. Sometimes when we run our lives with the caboose of our train - things get all mucked up & confused. The ENGINE should be your Faith, the CENTER CAR your Facts & the CABOOSE your Feelings and sometimes we run our train backwards and aren't able to see things clearly. My Birthday Gift to you: I do care and write this with loving kindness and if I were there in person right now, you would get the (((biggest hug))) from me!! Cuz I really think you need to feel loved --- know that we love you - with the love of Jesus Christ. *God Bless You and Do have a Blessed Birthday :hb: knowing you are Loved!* SunnyD <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../Sunflower.jpg My sister-in-law, Emily, took this picture from her gardens ~ South China, Maine |
Wednesday a.m.
Sunny- Thank you soooooo much for the words of wisdom. I love the train analogy. I will remember that one.
Last night I went to dinner is my sister and her boyfriend and my daughter Jenny showed up. Then I went to Rachel's apt and loaded up approx 10+ loads of laundry and went to the laundromat. I willl not help again because she is a big girl and MUST keep organized on her own. Her DH changes his clothes 3 times a day. EEK! DH and I are back to talking and he did buy me an appropriate card for my birthday. He also bought me a compound bow case for my bow. I would like to start archery since my mom gave me her bow. No...no deer hunting. Anyway...it my Year of Jubilee and I'm gonna claim it! Going into my 50th year. Wilma- We have tile on the wall behind our counters and DH put some sort of coating (hard to work with) and it keeps it from getting yuky. So far it's been wonderful. BUT...our countertops are laminate. On the other hand...our floor is all ceramic tile and the grout gets much dirtier especially with a contracting DH and a dog. For sure the Hoover Floor Mate didn't work. Mitchy- I guess I would put John on the back burner and just let it stay under a low pilot light. In the meantime, I pray for your pain and discomfort. I went to the Shepards website and what a bunch of #$%$. It sounds as though it is a wonderful place to go to and it's really quite old and not so great. Anyway, it's about the people living there...not the owners. EZ- Nikki had to stay home from working with daddy today because she went by the road. When DH yells at her, she want her mommy and wants to give kisses and all kinds of attention to me. What side business does Angie do? You probably mentioned it but I forgot. Angie- I "might" like a hot air balloon ride...but I really haven't thought about it. I did go parasailing in Jamaica and I liked that. Frugal- Hello! Well, back to the jungle I go...hi ho hi ho. |
Morning Gang! Not much going on today... just enjoying this wonderful SUNNY :sunny: weather! Blue skies and colors from the trees - it's a natural high for sure. Did you all see that FULL MOON last night? It lit up the whole sky... so cool! *~*~* FrugalChick ~ We don't know much about you, you are very brief in your posts. Married? Have Children? Work? Angie-Wangie ~ I keep forgetting to mention how much I enjoy your sig / graphic... that's me dressing every morning! :thanks: I am glad you enjoyed my pictures... I do enjoy sharing them :^: As far as the Hot Air Balloons go... I enjoy them very much from the ground only! I am terrified of heights! Always have been - get vertigo really bad... so I could totally understand your feelings about looking up inside ;) But they sure are beautiful aren't they?! Gary ~ Your pups... How much $$$ did you put into their training??? :o  They sure do sound like a handful! My niece had two yellow labs like that... they did nothing without the other. In fact, after one passed on the other passed on just 3 months after - they were sis. & bro. Beautiful dogs... died at 12 years old. Amanda is going into the Navy?? Cant wait to hear all about it. Joe was in the Navy for 4 years. That stew sounds interesting... gotta let us know how it came out. It's always interesting to try a new recipe. I think it's great that you give Angie that kind of support, we all need to have someone believe in what we are doing - no matter what happens... you are a good guy, Gary, and it seems that you learned allot from your past experiences ;) Glad you enjoyed all my pics too... I worry sometimes that I bother people with them :^: I am planting my Hibiscus from pot to ground this next week... I sure do hope it survives the winter here, it's so beautiful. I hear this is a great time for planting :crossed: Love the story of the 90 yr old gentleman... I only pray to be still gardening at 90 with Joe at my side! He enjoys gardening more then I do. Our Indian's won last night :cheer:, but it looks like Winslow is out for the season... :( He is having major surgery on his leg that is putting him out. It will be an interesting season I think. Michele ~ Suuurrrre! Be right over!!! :D Glad you like the pics too. Michele, I hate to say this, but I think that John looks to you for friendship... not a relationship. Sure hope you aren't *wasting your pretty* on him if he isn't interested in the same way. I just heard a program on Oprah with a guy that put out a book on dating and that is how he put it... *wasting your pretty* He said that so many of these women are beautiful, lovely and talented having so much to offer in life and are wasting their time on someone in hopes they feel they same way, come to find out they only sought friendship. In that case, it is your *youth & pretty* time that you are not out there looking for that someone who will fall in love with you and totally be there for you - wanting to call for a date, interested in what you are doing, etc. Don't waste your *pretty* sweets! There is someone out there that will want to be yours... you are just too kind, loving and beautiful!!! :flow1: *Don't waste your pretty* okay... :^: Wilma ~ Come back soon and fill us in on what happens with your cabinet guy... I want to be changing our kitchen next year and am very interested in what happens with you. As for the countertop... would you let us know what you decide on that too? That chicken par. sounds like something I made once... very good! Glad you also enjoyed my pics... I really have always enjoyed the Fall and decorated for it ~ it's so nice from Oct thru Nov :) and then I get to decorate for Christmas :D I think I enjoy it all the more because I am from the desert of Ca. and grew up with gravel, cactus, & sand ;) So this is very beautiful to experience each season! It's just way too short!!! *~*~* Well gang... I must get of my butt and get in my walking for the day and then finish up my chores. *I sure do hope you all have a very Good Day today, knowing that God Loves YOU so very much!* :sunny: SunnyD <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
...more
Thanks for the b-day wishes! I'd like to be home today organizing my beads n' stuff.

*~*~* MKay ~ You are so very *Welcome*!!! We posted one after the other this morning... I am so happy to hear that your hubby treated you well for your special day! And that I could be of some help (Thank you, Jesus). SO is this your 50th Birthday?? I am a bit confused... I thought it was your 49th for some reason :dizzy: Again... *Happy Birthday!* You take Care of yourself now and stay close to our Lord, He will guide you always. *God's Blessings* SunnyD <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday dear Mkay Happy Birthday to you. :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: We love you and wish only good things in your life. I know from experience that God can take what seems like an eternity to answer our prayers about spouses. I know I felt abandoned not only by my dh but by God, I felt so alone and scared and I cried a lot because I wanted to leave so bad but I also knew that was not what God had in mind for me. Now things are so much better and we are looking forward to our future together. I know God has great things in mind for you too. I have been so off plan the last two weeks and everytime I decide to start over I just make it until early afternoon and then figure "What the heck" and then off I go on another binge cuz I am gonna start over tomorrow, right? Love the pictures Sunny. I don't do much decorating as the cats seems to undecorate as quickly as I decorate and also we are a bit cluttered with the kids here. One more month and they will be moved out. Mitchy, sorry you are in pain again. To bad about your co-worker too. And, I agree it might be time to "quit wasting your pretty" on John. Wilma, we are putting Corriane in the kitchen. I love tile but I don't like the maintenance or the fact that things break. I am a klutz major league. My favorite thing about corriane is that if you burn it or stain it you can have it repaired. Of course, it isn't cheap either but then what is these days. Have fun choosing whatever you decide to do. Also, one of the guys at church put in some kind of fake granite countertops, it was a mix and cost way way less than the real thing and it looks great. EZ, busy as usual. Hope Angie can post the pictures of your puppies soon. Also hope she does real well with her side business. Sorry I have been absent. After all that happened this month I just kind of sunk into a big time funk and just now pulling myself up by the bootstraps. Off plan, off life, off everything. Also a little pity-party because the FMS pain is always terrible this time of year, my knee is not any better, and now my arm that I had the carpal tunnel surgery done on has been hurting for two days. Trying to stay on plan but really really hard. So anyway that is why I have not been posting cuz I am feeling so negative about my life right now. DH fired the housepainter and he, our son, and dil are getting it painted. The guy was too sloppy and just wasn't making enough progress and we don't want to run out of good painting weather. Off to work, will check in tomorrow. Hope everyone has a blessed and happy day. |
Yes ladies.........and Gentleman (Gary), I will not be wasting "my pretty" on John....I know you are right, i've known it for awhile and truth is, i don't want someone who doesn't think I hung the moon. There is someone out there for me, i know that. In fact, by chance, i've started talking to someone new, "seems" nice, blah, blah, they all do at first, we'll just see what happens.
And I really tried to not let my co-worker get to me, and i prayed about it, and tried to act right re: of her actions, and you know what........she is fine today, i could tell the minute she walked in, she smiled, asked how i was, she was her old self, and it's been fine all day, she's taking time to talk to me like a co-worker, not a peon. It's wonderful. I think she got the point that i don't like being treated like that, and maybe she realized her own behavior. I don't know but it's fine now. Thank God. Going to PT tonight. I got some Super Echinacea tincture yesterday and started it last night, and this a.m. i already felt better. The congestion is starting to leave. I'll be fine. I'm really feeling good. |
Tuesday
HI LOOOOOOSERS
Got a couple of minutes before the :drill: gets home. Angie has to take her daughter to her weekly counseling session (the bulimia thing) because my step-d's dad has another appointment. Some of you have asked how she is doing...good as far as I know, but then I learned a long time ago to TRY and stay out of it, Angie had a session with my step-d's therapist last week...some good things came out of it. Took Ron to tennis practice, son still at work for his credential, and me here just smelling the crock-pot stew I made!! The puppies tore apart one of Angie's flip flops today....we have a rack on the garage wall for shoes...more than likely Reba took the shoe down and Rylee chewed it!! Oh, and the covers for the couches arm rests....a peek a boo hole in one of them...compliments of RYLEE!! Right now they are fast asleep by the screen door....aahhhhh...sooooo...cuuuuute...HA!....they are like Jekel and Hyde!! Amanda has her fall tennis tournament for college starting tomorrow, so I will be leaving work early..YES!! of course..no pay!! I hope she does well, but if she gets somebody like UCLA in the draw...well, it might be over for her early! SUNNYD HEY!! I didn't put THAT much into the puppies training...well, maybe...I did buy them a new truck...one big enough for both of them ;) As far as Amanda...she is not going into the NAVY...her college is next to the San Diego base...she is doing an internship with them for school...it started out to be something about the G force on neck muscles...but it has changed a few times into different studies for different things....my goddaughter IS in the NAVY her ship is in port down by Amanda's college. OH and the reason you and Joe have such a great marriage IS BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE GOLDEN RETREIVER PUPPIES!!!! MICHELE Hey girl there are plenty of guys out there...finding the right one for you might not be easy...but...it can be a lot of fun looking for him...with the right attitude ;) ...just stick to that old song.."girls just wanna have fun!!" BUNNA Get back on track!! MKAY Happy birthday again. Glad dh got a good card!! and STOP being so easy with the kiddos!! Angie has a health and exercise website she is putting together, plus some food and exercise journals she has made. I will give you all the particulars when it is really up and going. Some of the gals already got the journals last year and gave their input, which was added to the new ones. If you PM me with your address we can send you one free to check out if you wish...that goes for anybody here. I was on this site WAY before Angie started even thinking about her business so I don't want it to look like we are soliciting here...I don't want to jepordize my friendships here..or get kicked off!! WILMA Hope the cabinet guy comes through!! Nice going with those boys and the cooking...hummm..maybe ya outta leave a cookbook out EVERY day!! Well I have to add the green beans to the stew...later gals!! |
No...not 50...not Yet!
Ok all...the year of Jubilee is the 50th year. Being JUST 49 yesterday is the start of my 50th year. :D
Whew...now that that's cleared up...DH just does not get into anniversary or birthdays the way my family does. I truly believe he does not know how. Yesterday was not any different than any other day really. Oh well, surely not the end of the world or the end of disappointments in life. :dizzy: Thursday...and another day at work with about 2- 10minute tasks to do. UGH! Flooding at church yesterday so they ordered out for pizza for Alpha. That meant not many dishes to do...actually, I didn't do any. I scooped ice cream and washed appliances and ya know what??? I feel it in my whole right arm today. Boy oh boy, am I out of shape. Bunna- A lady told me last night something about DH needing healing. Hmmm...maybe I'm not the only one who sees. She shared that her husband was the same way and is getting better because of the Lord. Amen! We have Bill Johnson coming to our service in October and is big on healing, prophecy. Looking forward to hearing him. Thank you for you encouraging words...really, I need them lately. So often I'd LOVE to run/leave whatever...just to be alone and at peace mentally. Mitchy- I hope you are feeling better yet today. The congestion can hang on for a while. I love all the icons...they are sooooo fun and funny! There are most likely many many partners made just for us out there, but we find one and go with it. Be still... Wilma- Everyday, I wake up and start the day out right and then there is junk at work and I say, oh just one won't hurt...but I can't do just one...I must have more and then I figure since I already ruined the day and I'll do better tomorrow so I screw up royally. But the Lord has new mercies everyday and I haven't gained but one pound. Amen! C'mon my friend...new day...let's go for it...one hour at a time. Sunny- Thanks for brightening (sp) up my day! All others...where are you? Ya know...I would like to take some space to thank all of you for the support, encourgement and kindness you give. I like us! :grouphug:  :cp: Hugs, hugs and hugs... |
Aw, MKay, you are so cute!

But otherwise, feeling good. |
MKay: "So often I'd LOVE to run/leave whatever...just to be alone and at peace mentally." That was where I was at so many times and where all the tears came from begging God to let me leave but now I am so glad that I listened to my Father cuz He does know best. It is just really really hard during that time. I am glad that I can be of some help to you even if it is just listening sometimes. Prayers for sure. You have a great day today and get focused on God for He is your Provider and your Comforter, we all love you but our love and care is nothing in comparison to His.
Mitchy: That is such a nuisance having the roads all messed up and closed no less. Hope the 10 days pass quickly. I am off to shopping for the store today so that pretty much takes up the whole day. Of course I slip in a little shopping for myself while I am at it. Did I mention that I love shopping at Costco anyway??? :dancer: I am feeling better today and even though my eating was not perfect yesterday it was much much better. They are putting in the new doors today, new front door and laundry room door, the patio door didn't come in yet but soon. Then the painting should be finished today or early tomorrow and the Satellite will be installed this afternoon. Once we get all that done then I can get started on the inside of the house, painting, new flooring, new countertops, and a new kitchen stove. I can't get DH to swing for a new fridge (I want one of those with the freezer on the bottom) but there is nothing wrong with ours I just "want" a new one. Maybe when he sees how new everything looks after dressing it all up he will change his mind. The dogs are getting the short end of the stick with all this work though as they are having to stay in their kennels more than usual, they are so good cuz no complaining, my little   (unlike Gary's dogs  ) and the cats have disappeared with all these strangers around. Off to shop, everybody have a wonderful day today and God bless each of you. |
OH, I'm so excited!!!!! Remember the surprise from the WA guy? He called me at work today (that was a surprise in itself),........and......He's coming out to see his son and go to some football games and will be in town and asked if I'd go to dinner w/him on Monday night!!! :cb: It's been 2 years coming...... I feel like a giddy school girl.......:D So now i have to figure out what to wear, etc....

WoW Bunna ~ I just came on to check my e-mails and read all that you are doing... awesome! And that you were looking for a new ref. or wanted a new one. I just got a new one last year and just love it!!! It's the TRIO from Sears!! It has the freezer drawer on the bottom and the ref at the top... and when you open the ref there's no ctr. bar in it - it's all open and usable. You would love it!!! I paid $1,700.00 (rounded amt.) after tax and a 3 year extension on the warranty for it (all well worth it!) We also had 6 months same as cash to pay for it. I love the fact that I never have to stoop to see what is in the ref. ~ never mind the SPACE in it! I highly recommend it! Here are a couple of pictures of it in Bisque... Okay, now you all know what's in our fridge (I see salads... organice applesauce... V-8 Juice... soy milk... rice milk... not bad... :D ) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...res/Fridge.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...es/Fridge2.jpg *~*~* Catch you all later, I must get back to my paperwork. <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |

Gotta go ladies..it is almost 9 and I just got home..went right from work at noon to the match...have a great friday!!
|
Oh yeah Sunny make me jealous. Love that fridge. ;)
|
Tgif
Yeaaaaaa!!!! Friday!
Bunna- Thanks for the words. I reprinted them so I can look at it from time to time because I am at such odds today. The tears are so in front of the eyes and ready to roll. Already this morning, after DH called me at work to ask me where I put something and telling him that I don't use them, he couldn't wait to call to tell me he found them in "my" laundry room. I will admit, I got cocky and told him that I would have to go to my prayer closet and confess that I must've had them. UGH! Ya know, just that phone call sent anxiety through my stomach and attitude. :( On the brighter side of things...I am going to clean the house tonight and tomorrow I will play (going to the archery place and learn my compound bow) and then off to the hobby store because I have a 40% off coupon and then I'm going to plan out my stragedy for the next craft show November 6. Mitchy- Ok...let's plan the outfit...Now ya know...black is my favorite color to wear...it's classy yes somewhat sexy in a natural way. Looking back at your picture, something slightly V neck or rounded neckline with a simple silver necklace probably a simple cross hanging from it would be delicately feminine. With your long hair, I'd twist it up in one of those clip/clamp things and wear some very pretty silver earrings. If it's casual, nice blue jeans are in order with black shoes (low heel). Now...you would look good in the fuschia (sp) color with the silver accessories. Are we having fun yet? I love doing this type of stuff and I love hearing about possible romances, etc. :) Well, I have to get back to work...and I wil remember...look to God today and everyday. Thanks! |
Mkay, glad to help any way I can. Your jewelry and archery can be a real escape, I can even think of what picture to put in the target  (that was mean), but I used to picture dh on the headpin at bowling and it is theraputic, just not sure something God would want us doing. Hope you have a good day today though. You know one of things that dh and I did was have a date night and we always went out and we were not allowed to talk about issues at home, it always had to be like a date so we could talk about kids, movies, things like that but not us in particular, in other words we had to learn to like each other again.
Sunny, nice and healthy looking in that fridge. We are doing alot of work and I cannot wait until it is all finished. I want to get started painting my bedroom but no point as we will moving all of the furniture out of there for the flooring so it will be much easier once we get it moved out. I think I will stain the bedroom set rather than spend anymore time looking for a new one. Gary, sorry Amanda didn't win both but hey... Once our kids were out of school we thought (foolishly) that our being at games all the time was over. Wrong cuz now the grandson play baseball all summer and now football, then, then, then... So far none of granddaughters are interested in sports but that could change yet. Where we live there is no gynmanstics close by or anything like that. Mitchy: How exciting. :cb: Gonna be a long weekend for you waiting till Monday night. I am sure everything will be great though. Let us know what you decide to wear, I like Mkay's suggestions. Doitforme, glad you checked in. Did she have her knee replaced or ??? Hope her recovery is quick and uneventful. How are you doing Wilma? Gotta get going as I work all day today and tomorrow then half a day on Sunday. Not looking forward to it because I am feeling tired but I will get through it and plan on resting Sunday evening and Monday evening. Everyone have and wonderful and blessed day. |
Mkay, I sent you a PM. :)

Hi ladies,
I'm really hoping that being here will help me be accountable for my health. I'm a Christian & so I thought coming here would be the most help. It's always nice to have some sisters to talk to. I'm a new mom- my son Zion will be 10 months old tomorrow- and I need to lose about 50 lbs to be where I want physically. I lost about 25lbs doing a South Beachy program, but when i plateued for 2 months I lost my momentum, gained 7lbs & honestly kind of gave up. So I'm trying to get back on it. My husband is very supportive, but we are trying to get ahead financially so he's working 2 jobs (so we can afford to have me at home to give Zion all the love he deserves). However, we only have one car. Sooo, I'm with the baby all day & can't get out to exercise. And the kitchen is just too close during naptime. Anyway the point is I'm having a hard time getting on the ball & MAKING myself do an exercise tape & say no to the cheerios. Ladies if it's on your heart please help me be accountable so I can be my best. Thank you God Bless Dawn just for info:  SW/196 :dizzy: CW/178 :D GW/125 |
NO TIME RIGHT NOW...BUT I CHECKED IN AND WILL POST TO ALL TOMORROW...SON NEEDS COMPUTER ALL NIGHT FOR HIS CREDENTIAL PROGRAM HOMEWORK AND ANGIE IS BUSY ON HERS WITH HER SIDE DIDDY..AND...WELL, AH...ANYWAY I WANT TO WATCH THE DODGER GAME...REMEBER LADIES PRAY FOR MY DODGERS AND RAIDERS lol.
DAWN..I AM A MALE..BUT I KNOW I CAN HELP YOU BIG TIME WITH YOUR TIME FOR EXERCISE PROBLEM...HONEST!! TAKE THOSE CHEERIOS AND LICK THEM...THEN STICK THEM ALL OVER YOUR LITTLE ZION'S FACE...I PROMISE YOU..HE WILL LOVE IT AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET IN A FEW EXTRA REPS!!....I have stuck many a cheerio on my kids and other babies..if you plan well enough you can get an entire box stuck to a naked toddler.....the other gals will tell you I'm not kidding....really...I'm not.............. |
Welcome Dawn. Hope we can be of help to you. Mkay and I are both doing South Beach and not sure what everyone else is doing. The board has been kind of quiet of late probably because of fall activities getting started.
