That's it......i'm having hotdogs for dinner!
|
Boy if we keep talking about hot dogs I will never make it through Phase I intact. :lol3:
Costco, oh yeah I love Costco. I shop there about once a week as we do buy some things there for the restaurant but I also do a lot of home shopping. Have to stay away from the bakery. :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: We didn't go to dinner last night which worked out fine, ended up having burger and fried squash. Yummy! Tonight we are watching 50 First Dates which I have seen but it is soo funny and romantic. We are Adam Sandler fans here. :high: I am off to enjoy the movie with DH, will check in tomorrow. Love to all. |
Goodmornin All!
Happy Wednesday!
You are NOT going to believe this...we DID have hot dogs at the Shepard's last night. The lady that cooks fixes me up a plate before I even get there. She has no idea how that small service feels to me. Anyway...hot dogs, mac and cheese, pork n beans and saurkraut. I didn't eat it all...but I ate enough. Speaking of enough...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH for me. I have not gained any weight back but I MUST not slack off the way I have been. I'd like to now lose another 10 pounds. My determination needs to get back into play. Two of the people at the Shepard's are moving into a small rented house next week. I am sooooo happy for them. Now, they need everything for a house. EEK! DH and I played some cribbage last night and then we did finally do some talking about "us." I opened up a little to let him know I'm dealing with some bigtime anger. It goes back to some choices he's made. Anyway, it was something that we even talked about something super sensitive. We actually made a plan for Sunday after church. Planning ahead is something we don't seldom do. We are also BOTH thinking about the anniversary plan. Keep praying guys...we need it! I wish all of you were in our life team at church...what fun and prayful times we'd have. Tonight I am grocery shopping for "Phase I & II" food then to Harvest Health (possibly) on Saturday and then to Sam's Club for the cheeses (low-fat in lg. quantities). Well, back to work...ck in later! |
No more talk of hotdogs for me.......sorry guys :(. I did have them for dinner but they weren't as great as i thought they were in my mind. I'm feeling so off track, i'm going to have to try to be really conscious of my food choices. And this is a great time of year to concentrate on veggies and fruit. That would be a start.
Mkay, sounds like you had fun last night. I guess i don't understand what Shepard's does. Can you explain? send me a PM if you want. Very happy you and DH had a talk last night, it's a positive step, you will continue to be in prayer. I love playing cribbage too! My mom and I always play. I slept all night without pain medication! :cb: |
Good Afternoon Cer's! I just wanted to make a brief stop in and let you know that all is just fine here... we do have the roofers here and I just don't have the time right now to catch up ;) I'll be back as soon as I am able to... I miss you all too :^: Thanks for the PM Michele... Joe is all better, like nothing happened -Yeah :smug: ! Catch you later... :sunny: SunnyD <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
MKay: So glad you and DH had that talk last night. :spin: My DH and I struggle too because of things or choices he has made in the past and it can be difficult but so worth it too. We had to rekindle the :flame: In reality God restore a marriage that was completely broken and of course when he repaired it he made it better than ever.
Michele: Sorry the hotdogs were not as good as you thought they would be. :( So glad that you had a whole night's sleep. Life is so much harder when we don't get our sleep. I have a long day today so am off to get ready for it. Everyone have a great day today. Hello to all the missing today. :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: |
Dieters devotions for July 28, 2004
July 28
2 Timothy 2:6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits. Wendy thought she was dieting for her husband and family. She kept telling herself she was doing it for them, anyway. As the pounds melted away, however, Wendy realized something very important. No matter who she said she was doing it for, she came out the big winner. She looked better, she felt better, and she loved every minute of it. She knew she was doing something really right. She put forth a lot of sweat and tears, and she was reaping the big benefits. Not only was she dieting for her family, but she was doing it for herself, and that was a good thing. She was worth it. Today's thought: My diet is a really great decision on my part! |
Hi guys
Sunny~thanks for popping in, i thought you might be busy with the roofers, atleast it's getting done, despite their loss. So happy Joe is feeling well! The good news is i had another full night's rest with NO pain medication! The bad news is my alarm wasn't on and I slept til 10 to 8! and i start at 8:30. I made it in by 9:30, so it's ok, except I have a dull headache. I think i had too many carbs yesterday. Bunna, i like how you said that marriage is worth it, i agree. There are problems and issue to deal with in any relationship, but it is worth trying to work on. |
Dieters devotions for July 29, 2004
July 29
Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called. Rodney let himself go completely. His friends were uncomfortable when he was around. He ate constantly, and he seemed to grow larger by the day. No one knew how to talk to him about it, so they let it slide. Finally, Barb took him aside and asked him why he was destroying himself. She told him that people were losing their respect for him and couldn't understand it. In anger, Rodney told Barb it was none of her business and stormed off. As Christians, it is other people's business when we follow paths that are not worthy of Jesus Christ. He has called us to be living examples of Himself. To be less than that is a sin. Let us try to live life in a body fit for Christ. Today's thought: Do people see Christ when they look at me? |
Good morning all. I am off to another crazy busy day. Having some :coffee: first though.
Michele, so good about the sleep, you must have needed it, sorry it made you late for work though. That is always so embarrassing. Sunny, glad you popped in for a minute. I bet you will be happy when they get the roof done. It is so noisy. How are the cats doing witht he noise? Gary, are you still putting away those Costco groceries, we haven't heard from you. Today will end up being my first restaurant meal out since starting SBD since we didn't go out the other night. I think I will go to McGrath's and check out their blackened Salmon salad, I had it before but cannot remember all the specifics but I am sure they can modify. I'll let you know tonight how I did. |
Howdy!
Hi All...
Still on lunch break so I thought I'd log on/in. Sunny! Yipee...you popped in. DH will be doing a roofing job for one of his friends within the next couple of weeks. I told him I'd help him since I helped him with half of ours. Glad Joe is ok. How about you? Bunna- Mmmm fish sounds good. Last night I put some frozen Cod (from Sam's Club) in the olive oil, garlic, mesquiet (sp) seasoning, etc. and some brown rice (ok it was instant) and sliced tomatoes. I was soooo hungry and the fish was yummy. I ate half of my meal then...I decided to put some lemon juice on it (from the squeeze bottle) and once I drenched my meal in it and took a bite, the lemon juice was spoiled and everything tasted like mold. YUK! So much for dinner. Have fun tonight...watch the lemon. By the way, thank you for telling me about you and DH/marriage...that really helped me yesterday...you will never know. It's testimonies like that that keep me going. :thanks: Michelle- Shepards of Independance is a group home for anyone that is on SSI or Disability or both. They are all on some sort of medication. Some work, some don't. It's not like a "program" they are in, they are just pieces of the puzzle that have been warped and no longer fit in the big picture. Ages 20 on up. The "place" is finally starting to bring in a few extras e.g., worship service on Sunday, a bible study, someone to make sure they bathe at least 3 times a week. There are some that seem real with it or maybe just a tad off a bit. Without the meds, I don't know what they'd be like. I will admit...I have my favorites. Some are really in another world too. They get a teeny tiny room with a sink, share bathrooms, their meals are cooked by Susie (who is NOT on anything) and they have huge rooms they can read in or play games. Some of their rooms are absoutely horribly dirty. If it were up to me...they'd be scrubbing if they aren't working somewhere. Gary- Costco sounds like a Sam's Club. Buy food and other stuff in large quanities. Well, dinner out with another jewelry making friend and then to the hobby store and then home to pay bills :( Although, I did sell a bracelet to the dental hygenist today. She wants to place a couple orders toward Christmastime. Yeahhhhhhhhhh! Ok...lunch is done...later kids! |
Thursday
HI GALS-
Just killing time before I throw cheese enchiladas in the microwave for dinner. Angie made extra the other night for me since she went up to see her mom and sister for a few days. She left this morning and called this afternoon to tell me there was "our first scratch" on the new truck...oh, well...wait until I start driving it to work  Ryan is at work, Amanda at the Acura tennis tournament, Lara with her dad and Ron just went with his mom to a city carnival...home alone...NOT!!! I still have those hungry puppies  Been checking the internet alot the last few days for property in Bend, Oregon (BUNNA'S territory)...and Mesa/Chandler Arizona...thinking about selling here and buying a winter and summer home in other states...alot to think over and consider with houses selling for so much here now. Probably gonna stand pat but ya never know....???... SUNNY Catch up when you can...if Sherry isn't hangin' around who's gonna hold this thread together? Michele, Wilma, Sami, Marilyn and I are counting on you..OH and BUNNA and MKAY too...OUR NEW REGULARS!!! BUNNA Well I got all the groceries put away...just not much to say in less you want to hear about my "bad--diggin" puppies!! MKAY Costco is just like Sam's almost, a few things are different but the same idea. Glad to see you and DH trying to work it out...been through a rough divorce 14 years ago...no fun!! when the relationship is headed in different directions...my wife and I head in different directions now...the only difference is that we AGREE TO MEET EACH OTHER TOGETHER at the end!! NO MATTER WHAT COMES BETWEEN US!!! Maturity is the key word here...comes along with old age.... ;) MICHELE WOW!! that extra beauty sleep sure is working that you got this morning ;) Any new plans with John or Cali. boy? Hope the pain is better now!! Gotta run...Rylee is complaining about a bone Reba took from her........ later, Gary |
Good Morning!
Well, I actually exercised 4 times this week. It's been a while since I did that!! We'll see at weigh in time if it works or not. I've been enjoying all the fresh produce that's available this time of year. Salads everyday with lettuce from my little garden patch.
We have our very good friends coming to stay for a couple of nights. I'm really looking forward to it. It's been so long since we've had a good visit. I think I'll marinate some chicken for dinner tomorrow and BBQ it. YUM! Michele: I'm so glad to hear that you aren't in pain anymore. You are going to feel so much better during the day now that you can get some rest. Sunny: Glad to hear from you. How is the roof coming along? Gary: Enjoy your days with the puppies! What are you working on these days? No renos to the house?? I know one that could use one. :D Have a great day to all of you. I just looked at the time and I better get going to work. It's the long weekend ahead for me so hopefully I'll be able to be here later on. |
The pain is back, i had an awful night and i started getting a sore throat yesterday. Today i wasn't sure i should get adjusted but he said when i'm feeling bad, that's even mroe reason to be adjusted. I just feel like crap and want to go home......

Yes, IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!!
Michelle- DON'T get sick for the weekend! Golly, I'm sorry for the painful night. I wish there was something I could say that would bring comfort to you. Perhaps you should go home and just veg. Wilma- Wow...good for you and the exercise. I NEED to at least walk. Gary- Thanks for your words of comfort. It does help. Home alone? You're right...even the pet(s) make it NOT alone and relaxing. Bunna- How was dinner and what did you have? Back to work for me...not much to do today. If I'd stick to it, I could be caught up in an hour. Hugs All! |
