Many of you know I have Cancer this is the second time that Cancer has invaded my body. My particular cancer is not curable but is treatable, I am in treatment, now and responding well, I have a point in telling you this, today.
There is a woman that goes to my church, she has ALS ( Lou Gehrig's Disease) She has a rare form of Genetic ALS, five members of her family have had this terrible disease. Her father has lost his wife to this dreadful disease and is now seeing his children go , one by one.
Heavenly Father, please forgive me if I complain about my health issues or any area of my life.

I was trying to make the point , that even though I have uncurable cancer , there are people who have situations and illnesses much worse than me and I have asked God to forgive me if I complain.

I completely understood Bargoo. I just wanted to add that I knew others like you and continue to pray for all my cancer stricken family and friends. Hug.

Saw this this morning on Facebook, I don't know who the author is.
I am posting this for all who are facing a tough situation.

One day you will see that it has all come together,
What you have been fighting against has been defeated.
You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will say to yourself,
It didn't stand a chance.

I would add to that , By God's grace.

BARGOO ~ Love the verse. I am so glad that your kind of cancer is treatable becuz you are such an encouragement to all of us here too. Sending up ^prayers^ for that family with ALS disease ...

UPDATE ~ went to the specialist for an assessent; he is looking for a team of surgeons in Southern Ontario as more surgery is needed than he can do. GOD is working here, just like in that verse, BARGOO -- already I know that another amazing positive may come out this whole thing for me that I didn't think would happen, but we know that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD, don't we?

Also, I had asked GOD to turn this situation into good, so that in the future, people will not be overlooked just becuz they are overweight, liked happened to me; and HE is doing just that. I am hoping that becuz of my situation, that some positive changes will take place in the testing and screening process. Doctors need to be more aggressive with their testing & treatments; and I hope that patients will be more assertive in order to get the care they need and deserve.

rosebud, thanks for the prayers , I am always grateful for that.
I wanted to show that no matter what our situation may be, if we look around we will find someone with needs that far exceed our own.

Hi, Everyone-It's been a busy couple days, but I've accomplished absolutely nothing! Had to go to Mayo yesterday for consult about the wheat & dairy issues-the allergy tests they did showed negative results, but they also said that I could still be allergic, because there are several different markers they can test for, but insurances don't pay for the other tests. They simply say to keep avoiding the items, as with any allergy, the reaction can change and get worse at any time. The celiac test was negative, but the tests for Inflammatory Bowel Disease were very high, so they sent me for an abdominal CT immediately. Will see the gastro doc on Tues or Wed, depending on whether they can get me in when I go to the neurosurgeon for the problem in my neck/shoulder on Tues.

It's been a kinda icky day, as the barium and iodine contrast from yesterday still have my stomach rather upset and have, apparently, triggered an MS exacerbation. But, we ended up going to town for car parts and groceries, which was a mistake, as it's a Saturday during Christmas season, and if anything can put you OUT of the Christmas spirit, it's shopping on a Saturday during Christmas season! People are just plain mean and rude.

So, anyway, we're sitting and watching The Santa Clause 2 and just vegging out for the evening. Hope you all are having a nice evening, too! You're all in my prayers

Thought I'd add in the update I put in the Prayer Warrior's Thread as well. The first specialist cannot do the surgery, so he called out requests to other hospitals; and a doctor from HAMILTON, Ontario has offered to do my surgery. A tentative date has been set for Dec 20th or 24th -- wow, they are really moving this along and I am glad as this is so cumbersome and problematic.

Next Friday, I see this surgeon in Sudbury, Ontario for the pre-surgery consult; hope all goes well for the trip & visit. They need a team of surgeons on hand as I need more surgery than first thought. This is a very large tumor, but there will be extra blessings in this for me, as HE turns this situation into good -- PRAIZE GOD!!!

I decorated our Christmas tree today with the lovely gold & red decos and sparkly gold ribbon I picked up yesterday and it looks lovely. I put a large, beautiful, glittery, diamond-like snowflake on as a topper. We also did the floors and some vacuuming today as well. Making lots of lists of what all I have to do to be ready for the trip.

Geepers, I have guest in this room with me -- a little mousie ... I'm telling you, they are too smart for us hu-mans. I bought 4 of these special humane mousetraps and they won't go near them. I wish it would encourage them to move out, but no luck so far. I think our furry baby got one by himself becuz DH found one today and had to dispose of it. I"m surprised that they come in here with the dog in the house. I'm not afraid of them but there is getting to be a troup of them in here; and that bothers me -- hence the cleaning and disinfecting today as well. My problem is that I was too soft in the beginning and I think they caught onto that ...

RONNI ~ ^prayers^ that all your health issues get solved real soon.

BARGOO ~ yes, there is always someone that is worse off than us -- someone sicker, poorer, sadder, lonelier, or whatever. We are truly blessed in so many ways; and I am grateful for that each and every day. Thank You, Lord!

Day 6 of my diet. Trying hard but did allow myself some toppings on my fro-yo today. Missing pizza and coke...but today I had to buy a 3x coat for the first time and I'm mad at myself. I hate my body, I really do. I hate that I allowed myself to get here. I wish I could rewind 10 years and smack some sense into myself when I started letting myself go. 4lbs. down...but it's the same 4 that come and go so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. this HAS to happen now, I want to be the best mom and wife I can be.

NEWMOM ~ the key thing is to keep going -- don't think about the past, just focus on today! Eating healthier for those 17 days, then continue on as you have planned ...

New Mom, you CAN do it. I was over 200 pounds, I am not sure how much because I never stepped on a scale. I got my highest weight from an old WW registration book, but I was much heavier than that before I got serious about dieting. I was a yoyo doeter and went on many diets before this last one. If I can do it, you can do it.

Thank you all! Starting new habits is certainly a challenge...in 11 more days I can add in 2 servings of carbs a day and some additional starchy veggies, which I love. I'm praying through these cravings.
