Candy, good luck with the eating thing tomorrow, I already know I'm gonna eat poorly tomorrow and I'm ok with that I just have to be good on Sat. and Sun. those are the days I usually allow myself to have some "forbidden" goodies. My day hasn't been much better since this morning, I had an iced coffee from Starbucks, I just can't help myself. I would live in that place if they would let me. Have a happy and DRY 4th!

LOL - one of the blessings of living in a small town - no Starbucks in sight, or Dunkin' Donuts, or any of those fun places.

Good news that I thought I would share - thanks all for your prayers. The biopsies came back negative - no cancer I get the stitches out on Monday.

I got in 5 hours of painting today, and I'm hoping to duplicate that tomorrow. The weather looks dynamite for the whole weekend, so I am gonna try to get as much done as I can.

Prayers continuing for all! Enjoy your weekend

HI LADIES ~

Just checking in after too many burritos! Angie and my niece are meeting my son and daughter in law at The Wild Animal Park tonight, they will have dinner there together.

Still doing well with the beer intake...1 so far this week, starting on Sunday. I imagine I will have some this week-end...but I sure hope to do a much better job of "being responsible!"

WILMA ~ Good to see you! Prayers for the boys and the issues concerning their lives. That garage is starting to sound like a "honeymoon" cottage Take care and continued luck with that exercise and meals.

C-D ~Don't know where Angie and I would walk on Saturdays if not for Starbucks! Not really a big fan of their coffee...more of the Brueggers Bagels across the street but they don't have outside chairs. So happy the tests came back just as we all prayed for...although I just knew you were in for tests and a physical...must have missed something...thank goodness GOD was their to back my prayers up

TRISH ~Yep we are having another 5K...you can find it in Weight Support right here...http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...?t=143131..... Yep it is not common but my ex-wife and I are really close "as family". Heck her sister was at my Father's Day dinner along with just Angie and my kids and sil/dil....we are a weired family...in case you didn't catch it before

COURTNEY ~I hope it dries out soon for you and you get some fireworks! If the family gathering gets out of "eating" hand...buck up and start fresh on Saturday

HAPPY 4th!

Kinda cloudy and rainy today, hope it clears off later, I'll be bummed if I don't get to light up the sky. Good thing the house is picked up, we may have to have our gathering completely inside today.

EZ, thanks for the info on the 5k! I don't think theres anything weird about it, thats the way things should be if everyone wants the best for their family. My ex wanted me dead, so while I forgive him, I don't want to hang out with him, I'm like that.

counting, I don't have a Starbucks near me either, I have to drive 30 min to get to the nearest one, so I don't go too often unless I have to be over there for something else but when I'm in that town I make sure to stop, its one of my guilty pleasures. HALLELUJAH! So glad to hear the tests were okay

Well, I gotta go get my exercise in so I can be lazy for the rest of the day, HAVE A FANTASTIC FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!

Trish

This is my first time writing. I liked this one because of the encouragers in the name. I think that is something that we all need to do, encourage one another. Anyway. I am struggling with weight and feel that I need to have support to be su cessful. I hope this will give me what I need.

Hello Everyone! Hope you all had a fun and safe holiday. I am glad to report that i was pretty good. I indulged just a little. I made my own pasta and low cal burger at home before we hit the party. There i only had a small portion of pasta salad and shared a piece of cake with my boyfriends nephew. I was very pleased that i stayed witin my calorie limits. It dried up a little. Parts of the city are still pretty wet and under water, BUT there was no rain. The fire works were AMAZING this year. Over 100,000 people were downtown on the bridge and at the park so it was pretty packed, but still very enjoyable. Oh yea and i forgot the gym closed early thursday for the early 4th fireworks in that part of the city. CLosed friday and closes before i get off work today. Soo ummm i think i need to improvise cause 3 days w/o any exercise will start a bad habit.

Trish~ Thank you. And i think its great you give your self that day to kinda relax and not worry too much. I know for me at this point though if i go and dont eat befire hand i will have a real problem. Im doing not only my weight, but my stomach a favor. I have gall stones and me + bbq + gallstones= no fun. Hope you had a great time.

Counting~That is amazing! Such great news i bet you are just on cloud 9 right now. Hopefully you arent working all weekend and can enjoy some of the nice weather.

Gary~ Good job on the beer intake. I hope you had a good 4th and that your were keeping a handle on those pesky beers. Im so glad it dried up for the fire works. Had a good time getting to spend time with friends and some QT with my boyfriend as well.

Elizabeth~ Welcome! So glad you have found this group. There are so many wonderful people here. If ever you have a problem there is always an ear to hear and a voice to speak. Keep your head up, it will get easier. You are im my prayers

HI GALS ~

We had a wonderful 4th of July here celebration. We had 26 people here for our shuffleboard tournament. Knucklehead nephew and his buddy won the trophy....fitting since he was the biggest "smack talker" all day! Angie and I only won one match, against our 9 and 12 year old nieces ...I would have lost that one too... ...but Auntie Angie shows no mercy! It was double elimination, we lost to a couple of my nephews friends then to my son and his wife. Great day!

I had only 1 beer for the day...I did have a little too much to eat...as I hit the chips and dip again....and grabbed a couple of hot dogs w/o buns after dinner to snack on...not too good a snack at 240 calories each

Oh well...scale read the same this morning...good thing we got a 3 mile walk in today...should hit the treadmill later.

We can see the fireworks and hear them from our front yard...way cool this year.

COURTNEY ~Sounds like you had a great day too

TRISH ~ I hope you get a chance to get in that 5K in

ELIZABETH ~ I think you will like it here!

Have a great day ladies! ~ Gary

Elizabeth - Glad to have you posting here. Let us know how we can help

I finished painting the garage today (finally) and I am plum tuckered out. I'm too tired to enjoy the festivities in the park, but we will watch the fireworks from the yard (an advantage of living on the tallest hill in town )

I hope you all are continuing to have a great weekend.

Prayers are continuing for all!

Hello All...welcome Elizabeth...this is a wonderful place to be.

I hope all had a wonderful 4th...I know I did indulge too much but I am not going to beat myself up over it. We will start again tomorrow. I just couldn't pass up my mom's cooking...especially her fruit pizza which you would think it healthy..but has a sugar cookie crust...so not really.

little girl is up from her nap...my turn to go get her...take care all! Erin

Just a fly-in. The weather is glorious and there are so many outside chores that need doing. I hope you are all having a wonderful, blessed Sunday. Days like this, I just love living in Northern MI - there is a reason so many folk call it "God's country"

Prayers continuing for all! Blessings

HELLO EVERYONE ~ Our holiday was extended to 11 days from 8; have been having a great time, but I have to admit that I have had way too many treats in the last week. I did get some 5K walking in and have been keeping real busy, going non-stop it seems. I am just checking in for minute as my BIL wanted to tune my 100 year old piano for me while he was here and we are then going back to the cottage until Wednesday night as planned.

Glad everyone here is doing well, esp for those good test results, COUNTING!!!I see that I'm not the only one who is having holiday pangs. I'll have to re-double my efforts when I get home. I did get some walking in up at the lot the weekend last, so we be going up there again this week and I'll do an extra loop or two ...

ELIZABETH ~ that's what I like most about this thread too: being encouraged and being an encourager to others as well.

GARY ~ as usual, you've been holding us up again; thanks as usual. We're having fun at the cottage and I'll fill in the details when I get back (we've had a few unexpected situations). Keep up those 5K's ... I think they are a great idea; a good incentive to get in some more exercise for everyone.

HOPE all our American friends had a lovely JULY 4th HOLIDAY!!! HELLO to all our regular friends on this thread ...

I'll be back Wednesday night from our holidays, so I'll be able to catch up on the thread and all your posts then. Take care, your fellow encourager ROSEBUD^^PRAYERS^^ continue for all ...

I came back from my weekend away with slightly red shoulders. Not enough sunscreen I guess. It'll turn to tan the next few days. I had a really relaxing time and didn't overeat. We couldn't get a lot of exercise because of the remote area were but had a very relaxing time.

GOOD NEWS! Our kids found an apartment in Ottawa. Thanks for your prayers. They were getting a little stressed about finding one and on Friday they got a call that there was an apartment available should they want it. Praise God!!

Not too much else happening here. Just work and sleep!!

Have a great week!
