I have not been able to walk as much as I'd planned. I'm on the road for work and had to attend my grandmother's memorial service over the weekend. Between work and family commitments, it's been difficult to squeeze in my walking.
Here are my totals...
August goal = 135 miles
Miles walked = 23
Miles to go = 112
I am going on a walk with a friend tonight, but she's 7 months pregnant so I don't think I'll be logging mega-miles! Maybe I'll hit the treadmill at my hotel later tonight.
I'm behind already & feel bummed about it. I strained my back this weekend & had to rest the whole weekend. I did take a walk late last night & felt ok, but I'm behind on my goal now.
GenreGirl-Take care of yourself. Injuries are frustrating when they pull us off plan, but we need to listen to our body and get well. I hope your rest worked and you can jump back into your walking. Try not to feel behind as it wont accomplish anything positive.

It has never taken me 1.5 hours to walk 3 miles before! Last night I went on an hour and a half walk with my 7 month pregnant friend and her 3 year old daughter. It was slooooow going, but we had a wonderful time. It was a beautiful evening on a scenic walking trail, so I really can't complain!
HI everyone! I'd like to join for the month. I don't know how much I can get in because it is so unbelievably hot here in Texas. But I'm going to go for just 15 miles. I have 1 in so far. Thanks!

I ran 3 miles on the hotel treadmill at 5:30am this morning. This evening I'm meeting 2 friends for a 6 mile walk. So here's my plan for the rest of the week....
This evening - 6 miles
Tomorrow morning - 5 miles
Saturday afternoon - 6 miles
Sunday - 18 to 20 miles
My goal is to be at 70+ miles by end of day Sunday.
