About the aerobic steps on the Omron.. it starts counting aerobic steps after you do more than 60 steps in a minute and for a more than a 10 minute block... so it will only start showing a tally after 10 minutes, but will have included the 10 minutes.. does that make sense... and it does do an accumulated total. I did a 30 minute walk this afternoon and then another 30 minute walk on the treadmill and the aerobic steps are measuring 60 minutes for the day

I find it slightly addictive to be honest.. but in a good way. I am really appalled at how much I DON'T do everyday... my lack of weightloss reallyh makes sense to me. Even when I was going and doing a 30 minute walk every day it was only bringing me up to about 6000 steps... only 50 % of what I need to lose weight. So I am getting more active every day and it feels really great.

Thanks for starting the thread and making me realise what was going on...

Gah! DeafinlySmart!!! You poor baby!!! Broken toes are the worst 'cause there's almost nothing you can do for 'em. Can't put 'em in casts, can't put 'em in splints... you just have to tape 'em up and try to keep moving.

You poor thing! Dad-blasted toesies!

The problem is I can do anything, but I shouldn't because it can aggravate them and take longer to heal. I live for shopping on the weekend. I don't want to get in that blasted electronic cart if I don't have a visible reason for it. Nor do I not want to excercise. Ugghh..

I found an Omron HJ-105 at Walgreens yesterday for $17! It was not very big at all and I liked the looks of it. But since I just bought my new Oregon Scientific one, tested it and found it right on I decided to stick with it for now and not waste the $$$ on another one! I would like to be able to put it in my pocket but oh well.... wearing it on my waistband is not that big a deal. But next time I will get the Omron. Wonder what the difference is between the H105 and H112. Might be worth doing some research before I do buy.

Well definitely take care of your toes!! You need them to heal. Drat that would be very frustrating when you are trying to exercise and get in shape! Maybe you could try some light working with hand weights while sitting even or something like that just to help out and do what little you can. And at least you can still do your "push aways" -- as in push away from the table!!
