Hi Donna,
I bought this book a while back. After reading it, I realized that it was mainly centered around cardio. He (Jakowski) really wants you to use the jump rope for aerobics. I'm sorry but that's just too hard on my body especially with the extra weight. The book I received might have been an older version so I'm not sure if he improved it much but his advice is kind of logical. If you have a tendency to gain weight in your thighs then don't build allot of muscle there to make them even bulkier. Do more cardio to burn the fat and use less resistance when you do strength training for those areas. I also have an elliptical and I feel that it works great for cardio and then add some strength training to tone up and you will have a great program. That's just my thoughts. If you want try the program for a while and see if it works for you. I think I was turned off by the cardio portion (jump rope). Good luck

! Also there is a thread called all Walkers/Gliders/Ellipticals/ and so on that we'd love to have you join. You can post about your exercise on there too.
