HI ! new around here but not new to the loseing weight issue, yesterday i walked about 4 miles and today i walked 5.50 miles, my goal is to walk 90 miles by the end of this month =)

Despite being a little chilly here, managed 2.5miles yesterday and another 2.5 miles today, be glad when it's a bit warmer though!

alright ! walked another 5 miles today , er a little mix up with what i posted before lol its not that i walked 10 miles in one day, i ment i walked the other five miles yesterday , and the 4 the day before.

Being accountable in walking
Well I think this is the best I have done in a very long time especially with the tapes. I have walked at the Rec Plex before on a consistan bases until I needed treatment for the cancer but the tapes - just could not get consistent with them.
Well I have done the tapes now for 6 days in a row - :carrot: :carrot: January walking goal: 31 miles Miles completed as of today: 8 miles Miles to get to goal: 23 Monday is my official weigh in but I weigh daily as I use the Weight Commander for help in this area - and since January 1 (Sunday) I have lost 1.4 pounds but not going to change my ticker on this until the official weigh in on Monday - hoping it could be a bit more |

Hi, Hope you don't mind me jumping into this thread. I am brand new as of today to this forum. I am a firm believer that to lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume. In order to do that one must exercise and the best exercise is walking. :tread:
I started back at thiss as of January 1st and I MUST loose another 12 pounds in the next 4 weeks before I go on a cruise. I am currently walking on my treadmill everymorning before work for about 3/4 of a mile to a full mile. Then at night after dinner I walk from 2 to three mile. Tonight I did exactly 2 miles. Now I do mix it up a bit with the incline and for at least half the time I walk with 2 lb weights in each hand. I am just a firm believer this is the key to weight loss :cp: I have walked approx. 15 miles since January 1st. I will have to start keeping track and reporting. Todays total miles was 2.75 miles. |

well life got in the way and I did not walk on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, BUT I just finished doing the 4 Mile Super Challenge :cp: so I feel much better now! ;) Does anyone else have the 4 mile? I was curious - after the pace of the first 3 miles, the 4th mile seems so slow, and I have to add a lot of over the head hand movements to keep my heart rate up there - otherwise it feels like I am doing nothing by the 4th mile. Way to go everyone on working toward your goals! I have just passed the half-way point in my January walk goal! Thursday and Friday were slow for me, too. I only did 10 minutes on Thursday and 15 on Friday, but at least I did SOMETHING! Today I did 2.02 miles in 35 minutes on my treadmill. I'm trying to mix it up a bit between my treadmill and my WATP library (and it really IS a library!). I'm doing a challenge on another site where I need to walk 30 miles, do 11-1 hour classes (I'm using WATP) and walk 1000 flights of stairs in the month of January. If I do all the walking I'm supposed to do, I will have done 74 miles! PLUS all those stairs!!! And that's only the half-length!
Anyway.....Glad to see everyone doing so well in the middle of winter (at least where I am)! Have a great day! Michele :wave: |
Good Afternoon Everyone, I have very few Saturdays off work and today is one of them so I was able to sleep in a bit. But once I got my computer morning stuff out of the way I started in on my exercise. I did 15 minutes of pilates that included 75 situps and now I just got done doing 2.5 miles on the treadmill. :tread: It took me 45 minutes with some warm up walking and cool down walking as well as about 4 minutes of running:carrot: About 15 of those minutes I walked with my weights so I think I got a good work out today. This week I had been splitting up doing some in the morning before work then mor after dinner at night. This might be my one chance today. Although I think I need to shop for some new walking shoes, these Nikes are giving me a blister on my right Big Toe:yikes: Hope Everyone has a good work out walking today:carrot: My Goal for January is to walk 75 miles Completed 17.5 |
