I went for another walk today. It's a chilly wind but the rain must have gone off to Ilene's. Later, I'll do legs.

I ran 3 miles every day since Saturday taking just Tuesday off (it was pouring rain)
On the weekend I run between 3-5 miles.
I ran 7 miles on day and about died- I dont think jumping from 3-7 is a wise decision! My time only permits about 1 hour of running time durring the week and as much time as I want on the weekend.
My knees have been protesting though the last few days, I wonder if I need new shoes already.

Susan -- The rains did come, last night in the form of freezing rain! We didn't have to go anywhere so it was ok...

Echo -- I find that if I run every day my knees don't like it, I go every 2nd day and they are fine. Also increasing your distance too quickly will play havock with your knees, increase only by 10% per week...

Today I had a great back and bicep workout ...

It is a beautiful day here. The sun is shining! But I'm just blown away by fatigue. I'm not sure what's up. I did watch CSI NY last night and got up waaaay to early to work four hours this morning. And it's that time of the month. So, I'm gonna just give in and have a wee nap. If it's still nice out, I can walk later and it's about time I did a decent ab or core workout.

Did a good cardio workout last night. So did not want to go, but once I forced myself to walk into the gym, it was okay! A night off for a party today, and then legs and cardio tomorrow.

I went for a bike ride instead. I'm sure it took extra calories to skittle my bike out the icy driveway, but once I was on the pavement, it was great.
I agree with you, Pat. Most times getting started is half the battle ... er ... more than half.

Ilene, we've had a lovely break from winter these last few days. It's been above freezing with no precipitation since about the 22nd. Today is a different story. We're back to a blanket of white!
What's it been like in Chicago Valerie Joy?
I had a major binge problem last night. In an effort to battle at least part of it, I picked away with some abs, arms, isometric stuff. I feel lumpy this morning, yuck!
I'd better go run some errands before our little town rolls up the streets for the holiday!

Hi all, I think I'll join you. A little intro: I quit smoking a year ago and started walking and doing dvds. Not anything dramatic, but have averaged 35-40 miles a month. Now that winter is here, even in Florida it gets dark too early for me to walk after work. December was just a dead month for me as far as exercise. So yesterday I took the big step and joined the YMCA. They have these wonderful kids machines that are also great for short people (I'm 5 feet tall), so I really feel less intimidated. I'm 56 and have never been an exerciser so this is all kind of new to me.
