Hello EVERYONE,

It has been a while since I have been here. I let an obstacle win for a month or 2, but I'm back now. I'm starting over with my 1-mile WATP vids for now. I did 1mile today and yesterday and felt good getting started again. I gained about half of what I lost before... so I'm encouraged to fight the pounds back off. Glad to be walking with you again!

Welcome back UntilMOMMI  Broken ankle? Ouch! Glad you are recuperated, that couldn't have been fun :(

I am logging 3 miles today, 57.50 for the month. Weighing in at WW today, :crossed: hoping it's only a slight gain or a maintain (best case scenario) because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have lost this week. :ink:

Anyhoo, leaving for Vegas tomorrow and won't be back until next year. So wishing you all a :newyear:. I'm setting my January goal at 60 miles.

well this totally bites ! ...I have a shin splint so I have been trying to go slower on the treadmill , hard to do.....but I don't think I'll make my goal:(

Thanks to some frustration with DH and DS (grrrrrr), I did the 3 mile Abs tape! I can't even remember the last time I did that one! It felt GOOD! Plus, I'm less than 2 miles from my December goal (even though it's WAAAAAY less than most of your goals)! I haven't reached a walking goal since at least August! Hopefully, it's a sign of what's ahead for 2006!

I added another mile this morning! I woke up and told myself I was going to walk and I DID! It was only the 1 mile Original WATP, but it was something (and I'm less than 1 mile from my December goal!).

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

UntilMOMMI - sorry to hear about your broken ankle! I'm glad that you are back and starting to recover.

Michele L 12-28-2005 12:10 PM

I did another 2.12 treadmill miles this morning and I broke through my goal for December!! Maybe I'll aim for 20 by the end of the week........

Hey walkers

I just found this thread and would love to join you from January.
I would love the extra motivation to keep me inspired with my walking, at present I either use my treadmill or the WATP tapes but had never thought about tracking my miles.

Michele L 12-29-2005 07:21 PM

I did the 2 mile WATP Express today!

Hi walkers,

I am new here too and would like to join in for January. It's been so long since I have done any exercise that I want to focus my first month on getting back into the habit of walking. Therefore, I would like to set my January goal at 31 miles-- 1 mile for each day using WATP express.

icmethinner 12-30-2005 01:22 PM

:)

Did five miles today!!! 4.5 to go for the month of December and I'll have made my goal of 85 miles!

:dancer: :cheer: :cheer: :tread: :cheer: :newyear:

MADE MY GOAL!!!!! (In the nick of time!!)

Walked 9 - YES NINE!!! miles this morning!! So I surpassed my goal of 85 miles for this month and logged 89.5!!!!! Yay!! I doubt if I have ever walked that far in one month - ever! :encore: :cheer: :cheer: :newyear: :dancer: :dancer: :flow2:  :bravo: :cb:

WAY TO GO!!!!! I don't think I could EVER do 9 miles in one day (let alone in one morning!)

I've done 2.4 miles this morning. First, I did the Express 1 mile with my new stretchie. Then, I did 1.4 treadmill miles with some good tunes playing!

I looked back over my calendars and was thoroughly disappointed in myself for 2005  ! In 2004, I walked a total of 246 days with a yearly mileage of 573.74. In 2005 (not counting anything I may do later today), I have only walked 79 days for a yearly mileage of 183.11. Obviously, something HAS to change or I will just keep getting fatter!

I bought my treadmill on Dec 30, 2003, so that was my first motivation. At that time, I didn't skip a day until March 4. In 2005, I only walked 8 days in January (plus 4 trips to Curves). BIG difference!

I'm hoping, now that I've found this (and a couple of other threads), I will have the accountability to report to you that I HAVE walked!

My goal for January is 25 miles. I'm keeping it kind of low so that I KNOW I can achieve it!

Thanks for all your words of encouragement and support!

Michele

I walked a grueling 5 miles today bringing my monthly total to 97! :dancer: Happy New Year to everyone!

icmethinner 12-31-2005 09:46 PM

:D Wow! 97!!!! That is AWESOME!!! :bravo: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

And Michele, thanks for your encouragement!

Are we starting a new thread for Jan?? :p

Hi
1st post on this site, looking to lose quite a bit of weight. I love walking so decided this would be a good place to start.
How do I join in with the challenges?

Happy New Year to all

Hi All,

Well, I started today, and did my one mile on WATP. The walking part was easy, but I am so out of shape in my upper arms. Wow, I was hurting just using the resistance bands for a little bit. (I gave myself alot of slack too.)

Oh well, I'll just need to stick with it to. :)

1 mile of 31 completed.
