Hi,

I joined Curves March 2004, and have been very loyal as of this past November. I retired then and now try to go 3X weekly. I'm at my goal weight now, due to WW core and my biggest challenge is keeping it off.

Hello everyone, I've been pretty good about going to curves. I was there today and yesterday. The advance class is like bootcamp. To speed up your workout so you can burn more in 30 minutes. The special Biggest Loser is on. I'll check back.

I went to curves today and the employee was smoking in the employee room. she lights a candle and thinks no one notices. It ruined my whole workout

So for , I am really liking Curves. I only joined this week, but everyone there has been really supportive. I have always been scared to join any kind of fitness club because I am so big. I thought that people would just stare at me. It isn't like that at all. People of all sizes are there.

Most people I talked to about Curves told me that the workouts would be too easy for me to really benefit from it. That is a lie, at least for me. I had my first workout today, and I am dying. LOL! Of course, I am extremely unfit. I am sure it will become better as time goes on.

My advice is to just try it and see for yourself. My Curves has a deal where you can try it for a week for free. Why don't you look into that?

Quiggs I had a lot of people tell me the curves workout was to easy. It's not true! You really get what you put into it. I work fast on the machines and really move on the recovery stations. I started loosing inches as soon as I joined. I didn't start loosing weight until I was dieting and doing curves.

I think it's an excellent place when you're first starting out. I think once I meet my goal weight I may go someplace else.

Default I Love Curves

This has been one of the best choices I made in 2005. I joined on 11/28/08 and I've lost 11 pounds!!!! I love the workout and it is not easy. I like to push myself further and further everyday.

I am most proud of convincing 3 of my friends to join. They are very happy with their decision too.

I am starting the nutrition classes Monday and my new goal is to double-up on the arm and ab machines and kick-up the cardio.

Good Luck!

So to date I have lost 9.25lbs. and 11.25 inches and 1.90% in body fat. I'm looking forward to getting to the 230's

hello everyone,
I started Curves in Sept. of '05 to date I have lost 8 lbs and 8 in. It's time for me to weigh and measure again though. I enjoy my work outs and the women that go there very much. I even miss it when I can't go. Since the first of Dec. I have tried to go at least 4x a week. I hope it pays off. I start the nutrition classes on the 16th. I can't wait to get started.

Curves4life~
My arms are the only place that I haven't lost any inches. I like your idea of doubliing up on the machines. Maybe that will help.

Dawn~
Congrats on the loses!! How did you like the Loser Special? I thought it was good but I wish they would talk and show more about their diets. They almost make it look easy or nonexsistant (the diet part anyway).

Keep Curving,
TJ

Thumbs up

Hi,

I love Curves too!

I joined just over two years ago and work out 3x a week. I've only missed one week when I had the 'flu. This is the first time in my life I've actually stuck to an exercise routine.

I don't really attribute my weight loss just to Curves, per se, as I've only really been losing the last six months or so when I started keeping a food diary.

I do notice new muscles underneath the fat now that I've lost quite a bit of weight, especially in my arms and thighs. My knee is no longer painful when I go down stairs and my left arm is much stronger (my shoulder was almost frozen after a surgery and my arm was very weak).

I've made some nice friends there of all sizes, shapes and ages and look forward to my visits.

Default curve sisters

hi everyone, curves is a wonderul place to go and be with people with like minds. Everyone there is very supportive and friendly.

Gardenwoman~ I did see the special BL and thought they did fantastic. I liked this show more because they had to do it own their own, without the security of having personal trainers MAKING you workout 3-4 hours a day I believe that on this particular show, the families were taught basic meal planning and nutrition info, and they stuck to what probably would work for them. I also think it was easier when your family is your core support and they are participating with you. All in all they looked great and they have motivated me to increase my exercise and really make the effort to get the woman in me that's been tryng to surface since I hid her away Good luck and have a great week.
