Hi ladies
I went to the gym this morning. Psyched, because I did not realize they had the red light therapy and it comes with my membership.
Walked only a mile today, but also did the bike and some resistance training.

What is red light therapy, Jenny?

Hope all you ladies are doing good today. I went and walked a mile at lunch... I think I looked pretty funny in boots and a skirt, but, hey I did it!

Its a new light therapy. It's supposed to help build collagen and help renew the skin. It is also supposed to help with pain.

Hey, atleast you were out there doing something, better then most people on their lunch.

I was wondering where the other ladies are. Come out come out wherever you are. Tell us how you are doing.

I have to wait until dh gets home from work to run over to the gym.
Seriously, we are going to Disney next month. I can't wait, simply because it will warm enough for me to run outside.

Oh, Disney sounds great!

I hear ya on the cold. The other night on my 2 mile walk I wore 2 pairs of sweats and 5 shirts... it was freezing. I thought my poor ears and nose were going to fall off they were so cold.

Then last night I got home later than normal, so it was dark when I went out. I live in the country and all I could think about are those stupid commercials for the new Texas chainsaw massacre movie. So, I was walking and all the sudden the bushes just a few feet away starting moving and a huge Blue Heron flew out of them. Scared the bejezes outta me! I think I scared him just as much though!

Anyhow, I hope everyone has a successful day.. Sure do hope to see you all back here!

bab, i often do Leslie Samsone dvd's, gets ya going!

jenny, you are doing great, that accident was a challenge to get past for sure. Glad you can get red light therapy.

Lila, I'm new also, I think newbies have to wait 20 days and at least 20 posts before we can do trackers, etc. You are brave for walking outside, it's currently a high of 24 here.

Hi to all, got a half hour of aerobics in this am which has me up to 4,238 steps for the day so far, almost 2 miles.

Welcome ladies. \
Diana awesome on the aerobics. Do you do them at home or in a class?
Thanks, I think I am going to postpone my next surgery, I am just feeling too good in my exercise routine right now, to pause it. I am so tired of dealing with insurance and everything that comes with it.

KYgirl, don't worry, we can motivate.

Yesterday dh came home and I ran out of the house to the gym. lol Did 10 min of circuit, 25 min/1.25 miles on treadmill and 20 min/8 miles on the bike. Today is the day off for me.

Morning Ladies...

Welcome KYgirl and Hiya Diana! Glad you are both here

KY, I understand, I have not 'moved' since July of 2010. My kids grew-up and moved out and I moved across the state... I have been kind of hiding within myself, trying to get through this empty nest syndrome. Even now as I type this I begin to cry. I am fairly young to have my kids gone already, but thats what I get for getting married and having my first at 19 and then the next just 16 months later. I still feel like I have so much I want to give as a mom and its such a different dynamic now that they are both living hours away. Anyhow... I have went from not moving at all, to several miles a day this week. My goal for this month is just to walk at least once per day, but once I got out there I wanted to push myself. I know you got this. Just DO IT! Put on your shoes and take one loop around the block, tomorrow try for two blocks... once you get out there, in the fresh air I bet you will start to crave it. The first step is the hardest, but I know you can do it!!!

Great job on the workout Jenny!!!

Way to go with the aerobics Diana, I am tooo uncoordinated for that

I am feel frustrated with this water retention. I read that when you start working out your muscles retain water to repair them, but dang, my fingers are SOOO stinkin' swollen.

Any ideas how to get rid of it or do I just need to ride it out?

I am attempting 5 miles again today, since I know I will do less on the days I work. It looks very cold out there, but at least its not raining YAY!!

I hope you all have a really great day...

Lily how much are you drinking per day of water? You need to drink the water to flush it out.
