Just curious since I'm getting into this jogging thing; do you guys run when it snows or do you find an indoor track? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I honestly never paid attention if people are out jogging during winter.
|
Many runners run in the snow and cold. I run on my treadmill. I HATE it, but I hate the cold more!
|
we don't get snow....
sorry to hear about snow... but I would if we get snow. check with the Shoe sales people first to get right traction and all. I do like cooler weather though.. |

lm3898, I am so proud of you for running the trail for more than 2 hours.... wow... I run 8 on the flat ground with mild hills and got my butt kicked. Good job! |
Novangel - I run in the cold but not the snow! I actually I hate the cold but i suck it up until its snowing or too cold.
I ran 2.5 miles non stop (AT A VERY SLOW PACE) and NO LEG PAIN...i am going to attempt a full 5K on saturday...so no more running for me until then...i wil have to use the elliptical (BOO) |
Thanks Master!!! Trust me I was dying at 8 miles too - I actually only hit 9 before my first half due to schedule/sick but it worked out really well. This trail one was crayyyyyyy-ze however haha.
Noveangel - there are FEW things I hate more than treadmill running so unless I'm going to wipe out on black ice, I'm running outside w/ lots of underarmour cold gear clothing! I do drop my mileage in the winter in favor of indoor activities however. |
Novaangel- I'm an outdoor runner; I really can't stand the treadmill. I'll use it if I have to, but in the winter I look for roads that are well-cleared of snow or use sidewalks. Our neighborhood and town does a pretty good job of keeping sidewalks clear of snow.
I ran 5 miles before lunch today; it was breezy, cool, and beautiful. |
I hear you lm
today I did 7.5 miles outside and did 5.5 on a elliptical w/arms this week has been crazy for me too with high mileage. Have a good one yall!! |

Hello friends! it is a good day in SoCal... it is going to be in the mid 90s which is NOT all that great for me.... I like it cooler. got up really early and did 12 miles outside. 4.5 inside gently on a machine... cooling down. Have a great day everyone!!! |
Feel better Deva!!! Those are the WORST!

It has been an extremely busy week at work for me. Was able to get in 3.5 miles in the early evening as the sun was going down.
Deva, I'm so impressed with the time you had coming off a 2 day migrane! Great to see that everyone seems to be moving steadily and productively through the week! |
