Success! My exam was easy and my workout was great ^.^ The 2nd level of C25K is really great. It's a bit hard to keep pushing myself for the full 1:30 minutes at a time, but focusing on the captions on the TVs is a big help xD And I upped my weights for strength training too
I'm tired! I got about 5 hours of sleep, was up and on the road super early and now I'm home trying to muster up the energy for Jillian's workout. I did take a couple of long outdoor walks today at work, but that was in an effort to wake up really. I really don't know what course I'm going to take. Either ditch the workout and be bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow or do it even though I know I'm lacking energy? Arghhhh!
Philly, that was me last night...I just didn't care I was far too tired.
I got Jillian done tonight and spent some additional time with the 5p hand weights after to get some extra credit on the arms. Must not have arm flab this summer!
BTW, during this journey I have discovered that my thighs are by far my weakest muscles. Oh my goodness...And to think I was once a competitive swimmer.
It's Tuesday! I slept very well last night. I'm refreshed and ready to kick out my workout when I get home from work.
novangle talks about weak body parts in her post. I realized that my right leg is weaker than my left. I found that odd because I injured my left knee last summer so I thought that was the weaker leg because the right leg compensated.
man...called into a meeting now...will revise later. I don't want to lose the post so I'm posting anyway.
I'm back....
so, I've posted my meals in sparkpeople yesterday and today. I was a little light yesterday which ended up being okay since I didn't workout. I basically did this to visually make sure I was okay with my nutrition. Having a weight loss goal, this really is somewhat mandatory. Speaking of weight loss...hehehe....I couldn't help but weigh this morning. I was feeling less middle giggle and muscle is building so I was curious. I'm down almost 5lbs and 2lbs away from being out of the 200's weight class....Yay!!
Tonights workout was workout 2 from body revolution. Heart rate monitor on showed 529 calories burned.

Reason: add workout info
I didn't get around to it till almost 11pm but I still did it. I have the day off tomorrow so I will try to get Jillian in again. 3 days in a row would be awesome.
Ah, I had no chance to work out today Classes and meetings and then heanging out with friends. I will /make/ time tomorrow and do a bit extra I did, however, order a couple of Jillian Michaels' DVDs for ab/cardio/aerobics workouts, so hopefully I get those before Spring break
bunneh, "if you have enough energy?" How was bodystrike the other day?
novangle, what a way to rock it! Did you enjoy your day off.
Tonights workout was cardio 1 from body revolution. I really pushed through with every circuit. Even the punch outs I held a continuous squat even though it wasn't scripted for that move. My little bonus move. Tomorrow is workout 1 and I REALLY want to do it before work.
I can't do push-ups to save my life and I feel like I am never going to get past level 1. I am SO out of shape. It's getting a little easier but progress is slow as a snail. I figured by now I would be flying through level 1 and I am STILL huffing and puffing and having to stop a few times. My goodness...I am definitely feeling my age. Anyone else nearing 40?? :/
Honestly, prior to this I haven't done cardio in about 8 years so what do I expect right? Thank goodness for this website otherwise I know I would've quit by now.
My day off was ok, Philly. I just ran some errands and made some calls thanks for asking.
novangle, I am 43. Just had a birthday in January. I am determined to have the arms that I want by summer and rock some sleeveless tops with awesome buffed arms. I want my middle to have a shape and not be a mass of fat. I wish I could keep my legs though cause I like the size, but its not in proportion to my body. And I want to bounce a quarter off my butt. Am I asking too much? lol
I am loving that I have stuck to this plan so far. And yes, I would have quit by now too. I mean February when we started I was half doing stuff. Now, I have a better focus. The last time I've done continuous cardio was three years ago. I was in a relationship in the last three years and my partner was overweight too and he didn't care how I looked. Now that that's over I realized how downhill I've gone cause we ate out all the time too. Now I want more for myself from now on.
In Jillian's words..."Go Get It!" and I'm on the trail
Philly - I was a theatre major, however today I switched to Communications in media with a minor in Theatre My theatre classes are very time consuming, and the department has just started working on a showcase of 30 separate 40-minute plays. So I've got meetings with my directors as well as scene partner for my Acting class Plus I'm involved in a couple organizations ^.^
Today's workout was great ^.^ I changed my C25K so that the 2 minute interval is 1:30. It got too easy too quickly, even with upping the speed! And I did some strength training, but not everything. I'm gonna do a few at-home strength things in the morning before class
