Default Anybody up for 6 week challenge?

I am starting "Slim in 6" today after about 6 years but I am determined to do this because last time when I did it ~ I really did tone good deal of muscles.

You can pick any exercise you like for next 6 weeks. I need accountability so I am going to post weight for everyday (I am every day weigher ) and inches every week.

Anybody with me?

I am definitely up for a challenge. I've been stuck at the same weight for a while now and my boyfriend left today for a 2-month school (we live together, and he's in the military) so now I need something to keep myself busy!!

If it's not a structured challenge, I can use it to remain accountable for the Bridge to 10k program. I've slacked on my running after c25k and want to participate in a 10k October 30th!

Default I'd love to join!

I think it will help me to have some accountability.

I'd like to lose 10 lbs in the next 6 weeks. I'd also like to finish c25k. I've been stuck at week 6 for months now! Maybe this will motivate me to finish it.

Absolutely!

I started P90X last week, tomorrow will be the start of week 2 (it goes for 12 weeks). I'd love to stay on track.

I'm currently around 155-157 depending on the day..the past two times I've tried to lose weight, I got down to 146 and couldn't go further and quit..sooo, in 6 weeks, I want to get to 145! How am I really going to do it? I'm not sure! I've been spending as much time as I could with the boy before he left so we've been going out, drinking, and not working out but twice a week..so I guess I need to get back into the gym at least 5x per week. I've been able to keep the diet in tact, but I know the alcohol is what was preventing me from actually losing!

tiredalways- we have really similar stats, what's your body type?

Default did it!

@charleston424 ~ I am pear shaped and most of my weight is in belly and about your goal, that sounds absolutely doable!

@sacha ~ welcome to the thread and hope that we all keep all of us accountable!

Btw, I did 22 minutes of Start it up in Slim in 6 and am so tired...but I have to say its good tired. I am just hoping it would get easier after couple of days.

Welcome to the thread. Its the same thing for me - I am also stuck at this since April sometime so hopefully, adding new exercise will break this plateau.

Yes, I believe I'd like to join you. I have been thinking about doing some type of exercise challenge. This sounds just right. I have the P90 DVD and I'll base my workouts on that, but with the option to do something different some days if I need to. My daughter is getting married in 10 months. I'd love to be at or near my goal by then. Won't happen w/out the exercise so count me in.

how is the p90 dvd set? i need something to amp up my weight loss but i'm not sure videos are for me..I've always quit the 30ds after like 4 days before i get bored..

Also, is it too much to run and do the dvd in the same day? I'm trying to avoid another gym membership but am realizing I don't do anything but cardio when I don't have gym access!

and alwaystired-I'm top heavy! I have 38g chest and then the rest of the weight is in the stomach..yet, the weight never comes off my chest when I lose!

@charleston424 - In a way it should be good that you are not loosing from the chest area because I loose there and DH is not very happy http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/images/smile/dizzy.gif

If you do get bored you can play your own music in the videos once you have learnt the moves/forms because I hate SI6 music and thats what I am planning to do. Play your own music to make it more interesting.

@ledom ~ congratulations on your daughter's wedding. Welcome to the thread and I am sure if we keep at it~ you will be at your goal on your daughter's big day.

charleston24 the P90 videos are not so bad. Not to be confused w/ P90X which is a longer workout. P90 is 30 minutes and it will certainly get your heart pumping. The P90X is an hour long workout for more advanced workouts. The hard part is starting. Just came here for the boost to get it in gear today. Having a bad day, I am depressed because it is over 100 degrees and will be for the rest of the week. I am depressed because I have to go back to work next week. Yadayadayad - just one of those days. Depressed isn't the right word though, just grumpy about it! Hey I have an idea, maybe if I go do my workout I'll feel better. Will get back to you later.

@ledom : You would definitely feel better after work out. On those kind of days, I just go to some park w/ my 3 year old and watch kids play and things start looking better

Tomorrow we are going to zoo so I might not workout but walking for 3 miles pushing the stroller for about 3-4 hours would be considered exercise in my book

I did 30 minutes of stationary bike today instead of start it up with 10 minutes of Ab because I didn't feel like working my arms today ~ they are sore.

but I did something so I am happy
