Thank you Ilene! I know this time is different, I'm determined to get this weight off but I have to realize "slow and steady wins the race"...

Today was my first day of exercising after getting my stitches taken out. It was hard lol. I had to take a break in the middle of my workout because I was so beat. But I finished! And I am happy of that.

Just finished my workout. Yay! And now I'm eating my snack of banana and half tbls of peanut butter.

I did Turbo Jam Cardio party remix Live, but skipped the cool down, so aprox 25 minutes there. Then Tammilie Webb's tight on time step workout, 10 minutes, plus about 4 minutes of misc low impact aerobics moves to let my heart rate lower. Followed by Mel B Totally Fit bums section, 10 minutes (OH MY GOODNESS I was in pain, lol). And of course some stretching after, but I didn't time it.

So, all in all, about 50 minutes or so. And to think I almost made to day a rest day!

Did my 5K in sprint intervals. Yay for doubles and double the afterburn!

So gross and sweaty now, though.

I was perfectly fine after my workout but now my legs are totally killing me. I feel like I ran a marathon!! My arms also hurt to from doing some push ups when I came home.

Ok, I got on that treadmill, and I walked. 3.19 miles in 70 minutes, no break. First thing I notice, my legs and feet are incredibly sore (still are). I did also walk this morning and then go to work. I wanted to walk a little longer. I definitely felt it this time.

There is something I love about exercise though. I exercised before I went to work. Instead of being tired, and wanting to go home right when I arrive... I was actually pumped, happy, and very energetic! Exercise is a better mood booster for your day than any type of drug out there I believe!

i can finally return to this thread and say that i exercised! yes!

first time since starting my new health and wellness lifestyle last sunday.

i did the treadmill for 30 minutes. i tried jogging a bit towards the end. think i need a better bra. (giggle)

i didn't jog for much time at all, but it felt good, and i am excited! yes! i did it! (ok, all you seasoned exercisers can laugh now at my goofy exuberance )

Skygirl, way to go!

I'm back from my workout -- strength training with my trainer and then 45 minutes on the treadmill. I did more walking than I wanted to, but did run a little over two miles. The problem with getting on the treadmill after my other workout is that my legs are already dead from all the squats and lunges that I've done. Oh well. I still had fun with it.

I went outside and went for a 3 mile jog... Well jogged 3/4ths of the way, and walked the rest. I felt guilty about not running the whole way like I know I can do, so when I got inside I popped in the biggest loser bootcamp for about 25 minutes, gave up on the 2nd segment.

Just back from a 50 minute bike ride, it's very hot out humidex of 34c/93f outside... I feel a bit drained but the fact that I am a bit hungover isn't helping either

How I love the gym on a holiday like this, when it's still open but only a few of us are there. I can have the whole mirrored studio to myself with my weight bench & I can put all the different weights I'm using around it without being rude to anyone, because no one else wants them. (They were all on the cardio machines, except for one older woman doing extremely light weights.) I take my time. I try new stuff. (This time, a 40-lb barbell instead of the usual 30-lb.) And I'm happy afterward. Whatever else the day brings to me, I got in my workout. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the place is beautifully airconditioned, and it's 93 degrees out there right now.

I'm back from a 26 mile bike ride with my husband. I wasn't in the mood to go at all. No, I just wanted to stay home and sit in my comfy chair. But, I went, and had a great time. Now I feel like I really earned that lunch I'm about to make. Tofu sandwich here I come!
