I've been doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred DVD, and yesterday was my 6th day doing level 1. I also played DDR, and it said I 'jogged' a little over 3 miles.
This morning, I ran 5 miles and besides barely being able to walk now, I feel like I can conquer the world! It's my longest distance so far...planning on a 6 mile run on Saturday.
Just finished day 7 of the 30 day shred, and I am drenched in sweat. Thinking of my reward now (a tall glass of water and a shower)! Good luck with your exercises everyone!
after a killer test in Nur 159, i came home tired, feeling blah. I had no energy. My vitamins got here, and I took the dose of Alive, Ashwagandha, holy basil, and I started to feel ALOT better. even though i was feeling better i took my green tea pill because I knew i wanted the boost to go exercise.
I did get a nice pep. I played with my son for over an hour in the pool. We dove for objects and chased each other, it was fun. Then I swam laps, walked the current for 20 min to get some traditional exercise.
i feel more tired, but a good tired, not a drained tired. I am also very hungry, but swimming does that. I have already eaten 1/2 cup of fruits and nuts--but the fact that i exercised feeling weighted down by my poor test grade, gives me hope--i can keep going.
Finished Day 5 of recovery week in the Insanity program. It's been a boring week since it's the same workout every day, but I can tell I'm a lot stronger so that feels good. Can't wait for the more intense stuff coming on Sunday!
I just finished my Day 3 of 30DS. I feel so gross, and sweaty, but happy. I feel as if the first circuit of the workout, hasn't gotten any easier. I don't have much upper body strength, so the squat and press is really difficult for me. As far as the rest of the work out goes, I feel better. It seemed to go a lot quicker, though listening to Jillian talk is getting a bit boring. (Lol.) From now on, I'm going to mute the TV, and supply my own music. I modify a couple of the moves. For example, Jumping Jacks, and Jump rope are difficult, and put pressure on my knees. So, during these I've been doing some light jogging. Today I noticed that I pushed myself more throughout the workout, and intensified my moves. (Didn't give up as much on the strength exercises, and jogged a little bit quicker.) So despite my gross feeling right now, lol. I feel good, and proud, and I almost don't dread doing it again tomorrow.
5 am jog again today...only did around 2 miles, though. Went with a couple of friends and I didn't know the route we were taking, so when we all of a sudden stopped I was surprised. It was so short (compared to our 5 mile run just a few days before.) I wasn't really ready to stop, but I knew I needed to since we're planning a 6 mile run tomorrow.
Came home and did my Insanity workout immediately since the run was so short. Feel great, Friday is my long day in the office (and by long day, I mean 9-2--ha ha!)...let's hope I don't fall asleep at my desk.
I'm just back from a four mile run. I ran the whole thing, no walking breaks, and it is the longest I've run, ever, in my whole life. Previously the most I'd ever done was about 3.2 miles. I was bummed this morning because the scale was up a pound, but now I kind of don't care. I ran four miles!

You are awesome! My 5 mile run on Wednesday was the longest I've done.
Thanks, 1bighog! I felt pretty awesome after that run. And I'm definitely impressed by your five miles. That will be my next distance to conquer, but I probably won't take it on for a couple weeks.

You know what? You can do it. The longest I had gone prior to my 5 miles was 4.2 miles just the week before.
Went for a happy run. The running store let me exchange my shoes for some that fit me better. I went to the gym so that I could test them out on the treadmill and ran for 15 minutes. Then later in the afternoon when I was assured I loved the shoes, I took um outside for the first time and jogged 2.8 miles.
I'm just back from 40 minutes in the pool. I'm making some progress in my swimming. I still can't make it all the way across the pool while doing alternate breathing, which is what my instructor wants me to do, but I can swim all the way across while breathing just to the left. She has me doing some stroke drills too, and I can tell they are helping my form. So, yay. I'll get the hang of this swimming thing yet.
I dropped my kiddos off at my parents so I could grocery shop quickly and then "borrowed" an extra 45 minutes to workout/shower. It was a quick 2 miles on the "dreadmill" (love that phrase...borrowed it from one of you) plus a short pushup/tri-dip session. My legs are burning from that Jules Benson Core Pilates DVD I've been doing, and after the run, I really feel 'em. It actually feels great. Now, how to rid myself of the saddle bags???
