So in my never-ending quest to have good workouts on non-running days (only do in 3 days a week never consecutively to be gentler on my joints) I tried a DIY boot camp last night. It was about 45 minutes - starting by walking briskly on the treadmill with an incline and some rowing machine to warm up. Then I mixed in strength training (assisted pull ups, plank for core, squats, bicep/tricep work, etc) with cardio (punching bag - first time trying that, it was fun

- burpees with a BOSU, plyometric jumps, mountain climbers, etc). My goal was to mix up my regular strength routine and keep my heart rate up consistently. I felt positively about it overall - a bit sore in my deltoids today when I shrug my shoulders, and a tiny bit in my pecs, but no other muscle soreness.
Just curious if anyone else has tried something like this and has any advice or ideas? I have access to all kind of fun accessories (stability ball, punching bag and gloves, BOSU, free weights, etc) so there are plenty of possibilities. Hoping to develop a routine I could do 1-2 times a week on days when I don't run.
