  • Crazy....Check out the auction site on overstock*com...they tend to have true auctions and often cheaper than e-bay.

This is just an observation, I have no ties to either site.
  • I have to say, I read this thread yesterday and for the first time in along time I was inspired to "do something". Thanks ladies....I'll be dropping in on this thread to see how everyone is doing.
  • YWeight~ thanks so much, I hadn't thought to check there.
  • I understand COSTCO has it right this min. at least thats what the BEACH BODY folks are up in arms about so it must be cheaper than theirs ebay and other places still seam to run close to bb prices if you have a costco run right down!!

  • yweight,

I am so glad you are inspired, this was the whole reason for this challenge! We all need a little push now and then I am so glad we all have each other! This will make 'sticking to it' so much more pleasant and easier!

    crazymomof4,

You can also check with Craigs List. I have seen the P90X system listed many times

    devadiva,

OMG! Good for you doing the doubles and congratulations on seeing it through! I'm impressed and also encouraged! You're even going for round 2 You definately need to stick around, give us updates, and of coarse, PICS!

I'm really getting excited for this! My P90X should arrive Monday by UPS. Can't Wait!!!
  • Pintobean,

Sorry, I forgot to put your name in my last response Day 2 and still at it! Definately keep us informed of your progress too! Borntobefine came up with a great idea. Start a thread for the 'updates and progress' where we can all log our info. At least weekly would be good.

Hoping to get input from everyone else
  • That would be great a p90x check in accountabilty thread start it an I am in Iam on day 3 of ROUND 2 today just finished shoulders and arms, and ab ripper x.
  • devadiva is BRINGING IT!
  • I am almost ready to go. I have to go buy some weights tomorrow and a pullbar.

    devadiva,
Seems you already BROUGHT IT and is bringing it again.
Did you do the cardio that came with P90X or other cardio? How much extra cardio did you do? I am starting week 2 of my running program and would not like to sabotage myself there. I was wondering if I could replace the cardio and kenpo workouts with the running for the first 2 or 3 weeks until my body gets a little used to everything. And then add the kenpo and cardio workouts back in.
    And please post your PICS.
  • Getting my weights tomorrow too after work. My P90X is due to be delivered Monday, I am getting so psyched thanks to my 'fellow fatchickers'
  • Here's my inspiration to get fit and do the p90x challenge. It is my daughter Jessica, who, just entered her first fitness competition this ealy summer '09. I'm so proud!! Also, I had posted her interview and fitness routine on my youtube channel under 'my favorites' if you would like to check that out too.

  • I did the program as described in Classic for the first 2 week { my husband was home and had just had some surgrey} ON the third week I started what the book had as DOUBLES. I followed what it said to do each day YES I did all the DVDs. The Cardio x is the one that you use almost daily as the extra as the DOUBLES. BUT I am somewhat of an exercise addict, I just love it...
    I walk my Dog usually on a trail Fast uphill we usully gain about 500 ft. and do about 2 1/2 to 3 miles in 1 hour every day. And I will do another workout of some kind 45 min to 1 hr{jillian,Jari Love,Amy Bento, Tubo Jam,Firm}. And if There isn't an Ab ripper that day I will do at least 20 min to 30 min ab workout. I have at least 100 dvds {I transfered all my old vcr tapes to dvd and have bought tons at thrift stores }
I plan on taking my 90 day pic today if I can set up camera My husband and I live apart in the summer and he was suppose to come home this weekend and couldn't.So I will try I have day 0 and day 30 and day 60 hope to see more change in 90 I do think there has been alot more.
I didn't even like to exercise until about 3 1/2 years ago or so NOW can' live without it!
With me I would do the running in addition to the Classic program as described but I don't know how much you exercise and how much you run?
    YOUR DAUGHTER IS BEAUTIFUL
  • You're very commited devadiva, I hope I can stick with it. As long as we all stick together, I think we'll make it.

Thanks for the compliment about my daughter. She is the reason why I finally decided to get fit! She did so well, I thought, Hey, so can I!

Thanks Madison . Week 1 of Ab RipperX is complete. Man! I wish I'd started this few months ago. My husband is following the classic P90x program (although at the moment he's nursing his shoulder. He hurt it somehow doing one of the exercises. So, he's staying away from all chest/arm workouts till it heals). I'm just doing the ab workout from it and it is killer! I can feel all parts being worked which is good. I hope to see my core a tad stronger and defined at least in a month or 2 of doing this.
  • devadiva,
Thanks for the info. I got tired just reading your routine - lol. I am so out of shape I am not sure I can do all that. But I will try the best I can. I plan to replace the cardio and kenpo with my running training routine for the first four weeks and then try the doubles if I get in good enough condition in those 4 weeks.
