Default Mountain Biking...

So, at the beginning of this month my husband decided he wanted to get a bike. We were just going to buy something cheap, just something standard. And I suggested we just go look at the bike shop, and we found one for him for a decent price. He used to mt bike all the time before we met, and just got out of it.

Anyway, we bought me a cheap bike off of craigs list, and we've been biking ever since. We've just been going on the bike path, and its been fun.

We found a park with a bunch of trails in it, and we decided to go today. this was my first time on a trail, and omg, I loved it. It was rated easy, and probably is for everyone else, but it killed me. And I loved it. I felt so proud of myself for finishing it, and it was so much fun. I cant wait to go tomorrow, especially since I did get a new bike tonight. Its a Specialized Myka Sport.

I'm loving running (I also ran a mile today, and biked a total of 6.5 miles) and regular road biking, and now mt biking. I dont even feel like I'm exercising. I dont have to force myself to do it.

Here's a pic of my new bike.

Great bike! Sounds like you're having fun! Way to go on the running, too!

Nice! My husband and I are shipping our mountain bikes up to Maine in September and we will be biking all over Downeast Maine, through Acadia national part. etc. Biking is so much fun, and I agree it doesn't feel like "exercise". We both ride our hybrids several times a week here at home, it is great cross training to running!

Haha mountain biking scares the crap outta me! My bf and his friends are hard core and I end up screaming all the way down trying to follow them lol. It is fun though, but I always end up in the bushes after trying to drop off a teeny tiny jump.

lol my husband always ends up leaving me - and the 3/4 mile loop we did, he finished it twice, in the time it took me to do once

And yeah, I fell a few times, and have a ton of bruises too!
