I am amazed at how quickly I lose stamina and strength!! The last few weeks I just have not been running as aften or long as in the semi recent past--- very quick deterioration!!! anyway, I am getting myself back in gear... little bits and medium bits and pieces all together add up to +10. I have to go back and confirm this with my last post. ETA, yeah, that's about right. |

My daughter and I did our second annual Father Take Your Daughter On A Walk Day yesterday. She came up after work and since it was late we only did 2 miles but had dinner together too...26 next week and still my little girl!

Kitty, my endurance is pretty much shot now, too... I'm hoping it will improve when I can get back outside. But, until my AC is fixed I can't bear the thought of running outside and coming home to a hot house... :eek:

Hmmm... cant remember when I posted last. I am on vacation and first internet access in awhile. 1 on monday, ~8.5 on tuesday, 3.5 on wednesday and a total of a bit over 9 today.
Today I was running late so I told dh I would meet him and the kids at the pool when it opened. I ran 7.5 and got there right when it opened. Played with the kids in the pool for 2 hours and then had to run almost 2 miles back to the vacation house. I was STARVING. Not going to admit to what I ate when I got home :p |
No, Jo, you haven't missed the pix. Can you believe I was out of town for another week? The kids leave for camp today so once they are gone, I'll sit down and try to improve my lack of tech skills and get some up! I promise!!!

3 today for 80 days. Been sleeping in on vacation so mileage is overall down, getting up at 5 on Sunday is gonna suck

15 mile bike ride today after heavy lifting upper body, so no run. I will add the mileage though....might be cheating but I'm so far from 800 right now it ain't funny anyhow.

Midwife , I'm claiming my bike miles, too! Otherwise, I'll never make my goal with what is left of the year! :o

I missed a stellar opportunity today. I only had time for a little over a mile this morning. We were checking out of the vacation rental and I ran slowly to the rental office while dh drove the kids in the van. I then headed to the restroom to change and dh was surprised I wasnt going to just keep my running clothes on. I mean I wasnt even sweaty. But I dont find sportsbras comfy for a 4+ hour drive so I changed and buried the running clothes bag in the back of the van.
30 minutes later we were stuck in traffic for a "quilt festival" in a town 3.5 miles away. If I had still been wearing my running clothes I could have run to town, grabbed a cold drink and still beaten the van to the other side. Opportunity lost. :( |
