Hi all,
I have been on this site before, years ago and I'm back. My name is Adena my former username was Talluleh but I doubt anyone except maybe Ilene might remember me and even she might not. ;-)
I am back on the eating right/exercise wagon and have been since Jan 2. Started out at 189.2 and on Friday I weighed 173.6.
I work out 4 days a week, I do one hour of weight training, Jillian Michaels style and then 30-60 minutes of cardio after that. I try to burn 1000 calorie each session and have been really successful. I try to keep my calories between 1300 and 1500 a day, my BMR is around 1475.
I was running for a while but I never seem to get over the shin pain so I decided no 5K race for me this year, I did my one and only last June, the shin pain just isn't worth it, sheesh! This week I discovered the stepmill, ouch and have been taking some body combat/body step classes for cardio instead. I still run but I find running for 30 minutes about once a week is a good compromise for me.
Anyway I won't bore you with anymore about me, I'll just leave it at, calories in/calories out for me is the way to go.
I look forward to reading here again and getting lots of great advice from you all.
